So sorry about your cats, Auriga and Herbs. Sad And sorry you've got mice, CV. Have you tried those plug-in noise emitters? I got some off Amazon and they seemed to work.

Sorry to miss the MU and meeting MrsW, but so glad it was a great one! Very nice cardi, Herbs.

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 00:43

Bloody hell, that Amazon link put itself in! I didn't! Is it the Russians hacking my kettle???

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 00:47

It did it again!

Kettle hacking

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 01:13

Anyway, pest repeller

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 01:28

And there's a thread about Amazon hacking my kettle here But I haven't read it yet...

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 01:30

It's like the radiators talking to you, innit? Mine don't.... Grin

herbaceous · 12/02/2017 10:08

Auriga, hope you're bearing up today. Our house is very quiet, and there's a big cat-shaped hole in it.

Here's a pic of HerbCat, to demonstrate his likeness to Aurigapuss.

Looking Good, Feeling Crepe.
GiddyGiddyGoat · 12/02/2017 11:04

To avoid making skimlinks - you have to be inventive to thwart those pesky Russians - A mazon Sainsbos H A rrods etc.
Bonkers.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 12/02/2017 11:04

I remember when it was all green fields around here ...

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 14:56

Skimlinks are unhelpful because they don't lead to the recommended product. Just the parent site. Hence, I imagine, MI's supposed link to Herbs' cardi from Sainsbo, which wasn't.

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/02/2017 15:30

So sorry about your puss cat, too Auriga. Sad

It was great to meet Mrs Wobble, who fitted right in! (But apart from that one very odd woman, everyone has.)

I have made Dull Muesli for DH, taken DD1 shopping, purchased bargainous bra from Debenhams (Curvy Kate, reduced from £36 to £8), cooked myself an omelette and DH is making a Nice Cup of Tea before I go and sort out the kitchen and cook dinner.

Cremolafoam · 12/02/2017 15:42

Or use the app. No skimlinkies on here.
Herbs, your late kitty is The most Beautiful of all. I too understand about the puss shapes hole. Despite urgent Gumtree alerts we have lost out in the competition for kittens three times this week. I have registered with Cats Protection for a cat, but they can't do a house check for weeks, and without it you can't reserve a needy critter.
Sorry about the meeces CV. Traps, poison and blockage of hole they are getting in through. Also told Vicks smell is a good deterrent.
How are you feeling Molly?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 12/02/2017 15:45

Do you mean me Mrs S? I'm quite odd...

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 15:52

I'm good, thanks, Crem - but how are you? Dh is convinced the hospital said I would hear nothing at all if all was fine - do you think that's right? I will ring them tomoz in any case, I suppose. Although I don't want to - feels like tempting fate...I could just go on thinking no news is good news (but don't worry, I won't!) I have a touching number of people "waiting to hear". Smile Although the GP said merrily that they would have nothing to do with it. Confused

The whole bizness has put me in a funny place psychologically - and not funny haha, either. Wink

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/02/2017 16:01

No, GGG. BTM will know who I mean - I am not sure you ever met her. I met her at a separate MU, and had to leave early as I could feel myself getting drunk and enraged and was worried that I was going to lose my shit and say something I regretted maybe not. Molly was there on that occasion, as was a RL friend who is also a MNer.

We need a new thread title.

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 16:08

That was when I first met you, MrsS! But it wasn't a Crepey MU - although it was in one of our haunts - it was a general MN MU, convened by Hearts. So other crepeys may not recall it. Was BTM there? I don't remember everyone, although I remember your friend, who was lovely.

Molly , feeling ok, but struggling with energy levels. In your position I would phone your consultants secretary and get either an appointment or her/him on the phone. I couldn't live with not knowing as I tend to Shockanxiety Molly. See how you feel though.Hmm

Auriga · 12/02/2017 17:08

No skimlinks on mobile site (without app) either, Molly.

Herbcat is indeed beautiful. Thanks for all the cat-related Crêpey solidarity. I'm still weepy, though I've managed to give away the cat food, wash her bedding, wipe away little paw marks & get DH to stow the scratching post and multi-level cat palace in the garage. It's almost new, would a London crêpey like it? Only bought it to help her get up on the kitchen table when she got too weak to jump up via the chair.

DD has an audition today & was a little nervous. DH & I have had a long walk (bit too long for me tbh) and I'm waiting for news.

Is it too early for gin?

CointreauVersial · 12/02/2017 17:37

It's never too early for gin, Auriga.

I had to Google skimlinks. Blush But then I always use the mobile site, so I never see any.

Molly, no harm in calling, but I'm sure they would have contacted you by now were there anything amiss.

Wondering who the "very odd woman" is.....I did go to a couple of general MUs (where I first met BTM and Herbs); but don't remember any standout oddballs a few eccentrics, maybe

Anyway, I'm basking in the warm glow of Productivity today - I got up early, took DS to work, collected DD1 from sleepover, and spent a happy few hours in the garden. It's actually the first time I've ventured past the back door since about October. I planted my new olive tree in its new pot, raked leaves off the expanse of boggy mud that passes for a lawn (yes, I know most people did that back in the autumn), swept the patio, tidied the pots, pruned the buddleia, and carried out my favourite activity of the gardening year, which is clearing out all the brown twiggy stuff from last year's herbaceous growth, revealing the shiny green shoots of this year's. I just love that! Then off to the tip and the garden centre, collecting DS from work on the way back.

Two trays of mouse poison were empty this morning. I'd love to be able to stop the little bastards getting in, but short of demolishing the kitchen don't know how I can. I just have to make sure there is nothing but tins and jars in that one cupboard, and do the occasional poison purge - it seems to see them off for a while.

I know who you mean, MrsS Grin

Well the trip up here was a dream - clearly leaving London at 8 on a Sunday is the way to get oop north in 4 hours! DD was great company and Brian was not needed - she got in quite early (around 2) despite having been left in the lurch by her 2 friends Angry Not sure what they were thinking but she seems fairly circumspect about developing new friendships.

DM was fairly lucid for the first 10mins but then degenerated back to the usual incomprehensible stream of chat. She admitted to getting very angry and trashing the place and her friend who is a pretty coherent 91yo was pleased that I could also reassure her that her money is all in the safe and there is plenty left - clearly this has been bothering her. However, the same friend then referred to a carer as "darker than the ace of spades" and I had to usher DD out of her room fast - not much point in getting into a conversation about racist comments in there!

Have been in the gym and spa - feeling very relaxed Smile

CV Shock at 2 trays of mouse poison gone - Eeek!
I must tackle the garden this week...

motherinferior · 12/02/2017 19:18

I have been out to Culture with a friend. DD1 came too (i.e. I made her) as she and friend's daughter also get on. Home for baked potatoes in front of Call the Midwife!

Collymollypuff · 12/02/2017 19:19

Oooh, in terms of Culture, anyone up for the Russian Revolution at the RA? Very handy for Dark and Stormies!

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/02/2017 19:25

Molly - strange woman came to another crepey meet up - one that I didn't come to, which is when some of the others would have met her. I see BTM knows who I mean! GrinGrin

I have made kofta curry, potato chaat and carrot foogath for dinner and am now exhausted. Planning to watch Bridget Jones's Baby later but DH may have other ideas.

Was going to clear out clothes today but it didn't happen.

herbaceous · 12/02/2017 19:56

I am intwigued about Strange Woman. Did I meet her? She obviously didn't leave a lasting impression if so...

A slight cold and sore throat yesterday coupled with a whole lotta talking yesterday has resulted in me totally losing my voice. This has made the house very quiet, what with there also being no shouting cat, and made me realise that I do 80% of the talking.

HerbCat was indeed beautiful. I loved his slightly pointy face, and his ruff. I think there might have been a spot of Maine Coon in there. I fear no other cat will ever live up to him.

Lalsy · 12/02/2017 19:57

Oooh Molly, there's a thought!
