Sorry Herbs I posted without looking. Glad you got him to a peaceful end without distress and sorry for the sadness FlowersCakeBrewGin

Lalsy · 10/02/2017 22:30

Awww Herbs Flowers.

Auriga, hope your dcat has a peaceful end too Flowers. And I am glad the procedure went OK. Hope you can have a restful weekend after your travails this week.

Crem, that is good news about dd, I hope that is one little worry off your plate now. Waiting for appointments and hoping they give some certainty or clarity is v wearing, I think.

I was only ever a faint possible for tomorrow - was hoping I might be able to sneak in at the last minute - but ds has graciously said I can go to his last ever big fixture wearing many thermals and I know I will regret it if I don't - so have a lovely time. Hatty, sorry to miss you!

BTM and Beachy, try not to worry too much about the exams aspect, is easy to say I do realise. I know a couple of dc whose year 11 was thrown off course by illness or other things, and once they were better, it worked out.

dh came home full of beans - god knows why - so we watched the second half of episode 4 of an obscure nordic not-very-thriller. For the fourth time. The previous three times, I have fallen asleep but tonight I got my doze before we started and he nodded off during the credits. So episode five awaits!! Living the dream, my friends, oh yes.

MontserratCaballe · 10/02/2017 22:41

Herbs, very sorry to hear about beloved puss. You did the kindest thing Flowers

Auriga, sorry to hear too that your lovely cat is nearing the end too. Your depiction of her in your chair, with all her things close by, next to the fire is very moving. Hope you can rest after your procedure Flowers

I hope you have a fab meet up. I am running a ten k with friends which will be interesting as I am not really ready. Plus it will be freezing. Aargh. Have a big glass for me Gin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 10/02/2017 22:54

Have a lovely time tomorrow brunchers - and safe journey home Hatty.

Sniffing along with you Herbs. Very sad but the right thing to do. Hope dAurigaCat is comfy by the fire

Lalsy, is it Case? The not very thrilling one with recurrent road shots that look like car ads? Were on Episode 6 if so - still not very thrilling....

addle · 10/02/2017 22:56

herbs, I'm so sorry about herbcat but good peaceful end.

Auriga, glad you're back and wasn't too bad

Mrs s, hope you have fabulous weekend - you deserve one

Have good time tomorrow, all

Lalsy · 10/02/2017 22:59

No, GGG, it is something about financial/environmental/other crime in Denmark. I think. Very compelling characters, and lovely windows, not a bloody clue what is happening.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 10/02/2017 23:06

Is there a Malaysian wife who speaks English like Mrs Dick Van Dyke?

Lalsy · 10/02/2017 23:16

No, definitely not Grin.

Herbs - I found the purr at the end quite comforting. Almost like I had agreement that this was the right thing to do. I'm so sorry. He looks a gorgeous puss. Cats are such comforts.

Cremolafoam · 10/02/2017 23:54

Having a little bed time tear for Herbs and wee Herbcat. It was time, but it doesn't make it any easier. I manage to comfort myself that at the very least I was there (for Cremcat) ).

Agree GGG, The Case is maudlin. Lalsy is it the thing with the manipulative company boss in a big architect designed glass office? follow the money or something?Hmm

Lalsy · 10/02/2017 23:57

YES! Glass office and big specs. Refraction index must be quite something.

IDismyname · 11/02/2017 06:18

Hello Crepeys. Seem to have just enough wifi to post today. Most of the time I give up loading the thread.
So sorry to hear of Crepey cats passing. Hugs to those who are minus their furry ones.

Hot n humid here. Been fishin' and found a large red snapper. Could quite get into it. Mostly helped by Slovakian fly fishing champion half my age. Would have been superb eye candy if we'd not all been covered up from head to toe against the sun.

Lalsy · 11/02/2017 09:17

Grin at cheering presence of youthful Slovakian fly fishing champ.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 11/02/2017 09:24

Whodathoughtit? Looking amongst the fly fishing community for eye candy Grin

Rosebag · 11/02/2017 09:30

Can I just check...are we meeting in the one next to the champagne bar?

Herbs so sorry about your lovely cat. Flowers Do you think they purr because they are no longer in pain?

Cloud Glad the weather improved at least!

hattymattie · 11/02/2017 10:16

I think it's the Grand Brasserie?

Rosebag · 11/02/2017 11:35

I'm going to leave a little later to avoid the football crowds. Don't wait me to order if everyone else is there. I'll catch up.

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/02/2017 11:44

Yes, the one next to the Champagne bar. Think it is the Grand Brasserie. Searcy's anyway.

herbaceous · 11/02/2017 11:49

Ew. There's going to be football crowds? Hate football crowds - they scare me.

I'll be there 12.30 ish, as have to leave about 1.30. Or later, if 'walking in the park' is called off. Hopefully the weather should see to that!

herbaceous · 11/02/2017 12:13

Walking in park called off! So I can stay longer. Hurrah.

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/02/2017 12:24

I am here.

NUFC69 · 11/02/2017 12:58

Have a lovely MU with Hatty. The weather here is awful, too, Herbs, always a silver lining... So sorry to hear about DPuss, by the way. I wouldn't like to say how many tears I have shed over the Crepey threads: every time anyone has the death of a parent, or an animal, it takes me straight back to how I was feeling when I lost my DPs, or my cats.

Crem, I can't believe DD is graduating this year, and I am so pleased to hear that she has agreed to counselling. Stropps, how are you and DD managing?*

Cloud*, love the idea of eye candy fly fisher!

Auriga · 11/02/2017 13:34

She's gone. Purring to the end, just as she was when we met her 10.5 years ago. We reckon she was 98 in cat years. DH put his head in his hands and sobbed out loud at the vet's. But it was time.

She was the sweetest little cat we've ever met.
