Oh no shop. I share your pain as hate buying jeans. Could you plan a trip to the jeans bar in selfridges to try out different styles / brands? If none of the Outnet ones are any good that's what I'm planning to do. These just seemed like too good a bargain to pass by.

End of my working week. Contemplating a g&t but that would break my 3 no alcohol days which I've managed since the new year. I don't know why but the nice weather always makes me fancy a drink. I'm like pavlovs dog with the sun and alcohol Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 16/03/2017 19:49

Love the A Ch look a lot, my standard jeans look for SS. Used to be straight leg turned up.

Did my usual March first sunshine fashion error every year get all excited, ditch socks, show ankles, freeze...will never learn. Plaques back on tomorrow Smile

queencerulean · 16/03/2017 19:51

everyone if you've got sun, I'm jealous. It's been freezing here again today-not at all spring-like like yesterday. I've bought the brogues for the in between ballet flats and boot days.
dream i really like that blazer.
shop, I'd like something different in jeans too but flares/bootcuts are a no (need heels to look really good which I don't wear much and flares with converse are what I lived in when younger), I tried some straight legs but they just looked weird and somehow dated. I look better in cropped jeans so I just can't wait for summer.

DryWhiteagainW · 16/03/2017 20:13

Me too QueenC sick of boots now

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2017 20:26

Dream not yet! I am falling behind on such things

I am looking through Matches and when sorted by price and it's miles of pages that are just expensive athleisure (is that the name??), tshirts and bikinis. No actual clothes

I quite like this Marant but maybe I have too much red

Dreamqueen · 17/03/2017 07:41

Marsha lovely T shirt but not sure that I'd want to spend £100 on a t shirt. Don't know how but I end up with holes in my t shirts even failry new ones. I've read all the threads about the mysterious holes & it's still a mystery.

Day 6 here, but the boredom is a killer. I've given myself a free pass on snacking until Sunday then I'll have to reign that in otherwise nothing will fit but I'll be smoke free!

Wore my Clarks loafers for the first time yesterday. They are very comfy. Went to H&M to by some of the shoe liners with silicone strips on the heel & they were sold out, so thats another shop to visit in town on MU morning. Smile

libertydoddle · 17/03/2017 09:01

La Fheile Padraig Sona Duit to all (apologies to better Irish speakers than me for the lack of fhadas! I blame the phone!)

Happy St Patrick's Day. Big wave to my fellow Irish Voguettes topaz and Cranagh and i think Stokey?? Hope i have missed anyone.

Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮

shopafrolic · 17/03/2017 09:57

Yesssss Happy St Patrick's Day to all the Irish Voguettes :)

libertydoddle · 17/03/2017 10:20

I don't know what the strange blue letters on my last post are...They were supposed to be Irish flags!!

Stokey · 17/03/2017 10:25

Happy St Patrick's Day Voguettes Shamrock. I'm half Irish so will definitely claim it Lib Grin

Cold but sunny here. Went out in a green suede coat that a friend gave me that only has a belt (no buttons) & froze. Am back in my leopard skin now!

I've been wearing cropped trousers with boots or Ash Virgins the last couple of weeks to feel spring like without freezing. I'd say it's not the most flattering look on me but it does look current.

shopafrolic · 17/03/2017 11:05

What days does new stock drop on the Outnet nowadays ladies?

OP posts:
Merriboo · 17/03/2017 11:39

Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhuit! ☘

Dropped off lurking for a while due to family illnesses, 💐 To Voguettes with their own challenges.
Interested to hear how the jeans hunt goes Shop

Longislandicetee · 17/03/2017 11:39

Morning! Happy St Patrick's day to my Irish Voguettes!

It's a quiet one for me. I foolishly went back to work without reading through my outstanding emails so have spent this morning doing that. I meant to have the day off but it means I can go into next week without some underlying baseline stress that there is something lurking in my emails. Fashion wise, i am still in bed in my pjs...But they are Cyberjammies if that's less shameful!Grin

About to have a little wonder round the virtual shops....

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 17/03/2017 11:42

so 'mom' jeans are a bust too, too tight on the calves and too loose on the ankles, sizing up won't help as then the ankles will be even bigger. Think i'm just going to stick to skinnies for now maybe if i lose any more weight/inches, i'll get a better fit in other styles.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 17/03/2017 12:45

Good to have a try though one - what about straight leg? I also quite like relaxed skinnies or girlfriend jeans which are v similar I think.

Blair I'm sorry to hear about your DH's diabetes - Lib lent me the blood sugar diet book which is apparently v good for type 2 diabetes - I can post on to you if you would like (assuming that is fine with Lib also!).

I'm afraid I can't make the MU but I have set myself the goal of attending one before Lib leaves the UK so hopefully the next one.

I think Athleisure is a big thing now Marsha

Nice to hear the Spring updates but its freezing again here!

I like these 2 warehouse dresses though not the right colours for me:
dark floral
Red

Any happy St Patrick's day for all the Irish voguettes

Dreamqueen · 17/03/2017 13:35

Oops forgot about it earlier! Happy St Patricks day (the shame of forgetting & I'm half Irish too)

shopafrolic · 17/03/2017 16:04

Afternoon all - so having paid a visit to my local store that sells designer denim I have decided that the CE Fling are the style I am after.
I've just ordered these to try
There are loads on the Outnet but not in the size I need so will keep an eye there too.
I'm off out tonight to a new local Thai restaurant with the girls - not sure what to wear, it's so cold out there Hmm

queencerulean · 17/03/2017 16:08

Gah, I'm having one of those hormonal days today. I'm not stroppy as such but just low in mood and can't be bothered with anything. I know I should have dragged myself to boot camp to be in the fresh air but I went back to bed instead. I've just ordered [[http://uk.accessorize.com/view/product/uk_catalog/acc_14.9/2829459100 this necklace]] to cheer myself up.

queencerulean · 17/03/2017 16:09

shop those jeans look good-they look similar to the gap girlfriends.
bernice sorry you can't make it, would have been good to see you again.

shopafrolic · 17/03/2017 16:35

Oh no Bernice I missed that! Hope we can catch up again soon - it has been way too long. :)

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 17/03/2017 16:37

QueenC I have some GAP girlfriends in white but the denim is really hard and they come up quite short on me. I'm also not a huge fan of the pocket placement on GAP jeans as I don't think they are that flattering on my backside! Grin
Will have to see with these - the 29 I tried was a bit big but makes them sit low on my hips - they didn't have these ones in a 28 to order. Will keep my eye out for more on the Outnet and EBay.

libertydoddle · 17/03/2017 17:00

Well done on the correct Irish merriboo. My gaelige is a shocker!

Bernice more than happy for you to post that book to Blair. You definitely have to come to a MU before I depart. You are welcome to stay with me if that makes it easier.

Dream i didn't know you are half Irish. How is day 6 going?

Shop i am loving my CE Fling cords. They sit low on my hips but i really like the look and somehow they seem to sit low but don't expose my bum. One of those items that seems to have really given me lots more options for outfits.

Everyonelovessparkles · 17/03/2017 19:30

Good luck with the jeans hunt shop and have a good time tonight. What did you wear in the end?

Glad the new cords are working well for you lib, thought they would fit well into your wardrobe. Glad they aren't too bum exposing - my pet hate with jeans!

For some reason I woke up full of a cold today and felt shitty all day. Half a bottle of prosecco seems to have helped though 😂🍾

Happy Friday / weekend / st Patrick's day everyone!

MarshaBrady · 17/03/2017 20:30

Dream I agree, it's so much. I couldn't get over how the first how ever many pages up to over £100 was still basically nothing you could really wear to work

Bernice I'd really love to see you at the next one Thanks

Happy St Patricks Day lovely Irish Voguettes!

MarshaBrady · 17/03/2017 20:31

Where is the Shamrock

Oh it is there!
