shop re outnet, mon, tues and thurs. Stock goes live c. 9.30am - don't wait for the email

lib DH is Irish (well, his parents anyway) so I claim today as my own. Have been wearing the shamrock earrings I bought on Grafton St last weekend today. Our HoD is Irish and throws a mega party every year (last Sat, in this case) - I was an absolute mess, having flown back from Dublin a few hrs earlier! Good craic though 😉

Can't believe it's MU next week - this first quarter has flown! Not much shopping to report - bought a couple of lipsticks from Mac and CT, but otherwise nothing much. Did a biig wardrobe purge today - feel better for it! I realised while doing it, everything I got rid of was an 'everyday basic' or 'classic' purchases (sensible blazers, indigo straight-legs etc). Think I just need to embrace my natural flamboyance!

On a happier note, I found a lovely bracelet I bought at Fortnums at Xmas, which went missing the next day - it was caught on my Zarita which I must have tried on! Also re-discovered a few forgotten favourites!

On that note - QueenC I have a nice pair of indigo straight leg (more skinny with a slightly looser ankle) J Brands which might be good for you. Size 27 (come up a little small, in line with Gao 26, I think). Style is 814, with twice. Can bring to MU (already bringing stuff for shop)? Won't be offended if not!

AmberNectarine · 17/03/2017 23:45

one high-rise skinnies still by far my best style, despite being a 'small' hourglass. I do wear mom jeans, but I'm aware they aren't the most flattering. New Look are doing great denim ATM, I got my mom jeans there because I didn't want to invest too heavily and they have been so good. Better than most of the premium stuff I've had!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 17/03/2017 23:46

Amber i'm the same when i clear clothes out, the only things that go are the boring basics, embrace your flamboyance, i did and felt a million times better for it!!

been feeling really low today, it was injection day so that will have played a big part int hat but i don't seem to have lifted even after having said injection. Could be tiredness i suppose or could be coming down with a cold. hopefully i'll feel better after some sleep

shopafrolic · 18/03/2017 00:06

Fun night at new Thai place. I drove but the girls enjoyed their lychee martinis. I couldn't make any outfit work tonight so defaulted to black R&B skinnies, faithful Sam E Karen boots, black sleeveless top from GAP, lots of layered necklaces and Helmut Lang blazer with McQueen clutch. Was going to wear my pink silk blouse but thought I might spill food on it!

Hi all.

Hope you feel better over the weekend, One.

Purchases to report are:

This Equipment dress - is it the same as yours Mara? The pattern is so lovely, but am still deciding if the colours are really me...I think it will need to go back.

Also this. I love it - but it's a little big in the shoulders.

Whistles Giraffe dress arrived and has gone back as its just not the right fit for my proportions.

In the meantime this coat arrived and it's perfect.

Also this, which quite boring but I know I will get a lot of wear from it next winter.

libertydoddle · 18/03/2017 09:33

Irish DH is definitely a valid excuse to indulge amber. I was laughing yesterday getting lots of messages from my brothers in Ireland, a few years ago it was all pictures from the pub. Now they all have small children so it was pictures of drenched DC at the parades Grin. All looked happy though.

Nice purchases fairy. Knitted Equipment dress looks great and the Jaeger coat.

My first weekend without study, am still in bed wondering what to do with all this lovely free time.

What's everyone wearing to the MU? I think I'll wear my new Joie top and hoping the weather is suede biker appropriate.

shopafrolic · 18/03/2017 10:15

No idea yet Lib
Probably the new jeans if they fit (due today) but no idea what else! I'm always a last minute girl though. hence rubbish standard of outfit last night

queencerulean · 18/03/2017 11:03

amber yes please if you don't mind
shop have you worn your pink boots yet?
lib I've been thinking of outfits for next week but the weather is so changeable it's impossible to make a decision yet. It'll be jeans and some kind of blouse obviously.

Longislandicetee · 18/03/2017 12:22

Afternoon! Lib am thinking of you today, wearing the bangle you got me, I don't wear gold jewellery that often so it's nice to wear it and think of you. Smile Now doesn't it feel good not to have to study today?

I love that Equipment dress - on other people!

I have been browsing the Outnet...

Saw these Aquazzura like lace up shoes by 8 on the Outnet minus the price tag.

Marsha I also saw this pushy bow silk chiffon top which is only £55. Would it work for you for work?

These Sam Edelman lace up shoes are also Aquazzura like.

shopafrolic · 18/03/2017 13:07

QueenC I haven't. I tried them on last night with my all black outfit but they didn't work.
I think they will be better with blue boyfriend jeans and a tee in the Summer........ Either that or I'll have to sell them.

Has anyone seen / tried these Office shoes IRL?

Love those Sam Edelman ones Blingy

MarshaBrady · 18/03/2017 18:35

Oh I love that Blingy and am >< this close to ordering it. Except for the collar, the last silk shirt had an off collar and I worry it may be a bit flat for me. Not sure!

Love your purchases Fairy

'Fraid not Shop

maradesbois · 18/03/2017 18:45

Fairy yes, that's the dress. I adore it but would say if you have any doubt send back, is not really an I'm not sure kind of print! Also love this one which may be better colours for you?

shopafrolic · 18/03/2017 18:52

Some lovely things here

I'm dithering over a whole assortment of flat pointed High st shoes when I really want the Célines Grin

OP posts:
libertydoddle · 18/03/2017 19:12

Grin shop step away from the Celines.

I finally picked up the sleeveless jacket at Monsoon today. It wasn't great quality so I left it there but I am definitely going to keep an eye out for something similiar as I think it is a look that would work for me.

I ordered summer uniform dresses for DD from John Lewis the other day and put this Toast denim skirt into the order. I really like it, it's surprisingly flattering and thick but drapey demin iyswim. A keeper. Now I think I need another 2 months off shopping Grin.

Blingy I love that you are wearing that bangle and yes a day with no study has been bliss.

queencerulean · 18/03/2017 19:20

shop shame about the pink boots. Fingers crossed for the summer. Just looked at celine-not sure if I've looked at the right ones but I wasn't that keen. Prefer the high st offerings.
blingy if you ever find any grey lace up flats with round toes let me know.

queencerulean · 18/03/2017 19:21

Just doing a bit of drunken fantasy shopping....
Love these sandals

shopafrolic · 18/03/2017 19:25

These are the Célines QueenC
Main contenders at the moment are Office and M&S - if anyone has seen others please shout. They would be perfect for me.

queencerulean · 18/03/2017 19:25

This could be the vogue bag

Longislandicetee · 18/03/2017 19:27

Marsha, they also have this pussy bow blouse which you might prefer. I thought the contrast was a little different. I haven't seen stuff by this label before, but I love this shirt dress too.

Dh has been in rugby cocoon, so I have been in full on kiddy entertainment mode since lunch time - playing with dolls, trains with bossy ds and games (during which ds stomped off because I asked him to share out turning the cards in Pass the BombHmm)...Finally having a little rest as it's all over!

queencerulean · 18/03/2017 19:31

I'm wearing this next week Grin
