I really like the look Shop, will look great on you, had no idea what they were though!

Yes same place, different villa, same owner, not very adventurous ; Already in checking the weather on my phone territory (pure sun, mostly, not hot but warm)

Yes true Lib Grin I have a voucher due to turn up soon, I will be using that.

Oh and I did get a code for Matches, £100 off £300, did anyone else?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/03/2017 20:52

Hi all, thanks Flowers for all the good wishes for DH! It's type 2, he is not going on any medication yet which is good. We are both a bit grumpy a few days in to our v.v. low-carb meal plan Blush but it is going ok. He was also diagnosed with gastritis a couple of weeks ago, all a bit sobering, he's only 35! Time for some lifestyle changes.

Shop glad it went well today. Fingers crossed for you, your outfit sounded fab! I have MiH Phoebe Slims - I think they come up ever so slightly big. I am a 28 and bought 28 but they are by no means tight at the waistband.

Really liked my Otter (â„¢ Dry) yesterday - navy high waisted Hobbs culottes, new cream Uniqlo blouse (loose and fairly cropped on me), and new & other stories black heels. Today was visiting a client so was J crew navy pencil skirt and Uniqlo navy shirt with tights and shoe boots. It's always good when you wear all your new purchases straight away!

shopafrolic · 14/03/2017 20:56

Blair DH has gastritis along with his Barrett's Oesophagus. Happy to chat if of help.

No code for me Marsha I haven't made any purchases from them for a while though TBF

I like those looks too shop they look like a straight crop. The Alexa ones look like a mom fit. I keep meaning to try the Topshop ones. I think they are not as horrific as their name suggests!
Love that top lib and I am rather partial to a long gilet affair myself. I have a zara one from a few years ago that is very versatile.
blingy glad your ds is better. Mine went through a terrible phase a few months ago with a complete turnaround now.
No Matches code for me either. I have only ever bought anything from them in the sale although the last 2 purchases were still ££ shoes. I wonder how much you have to spend to get one?

maradesbois · 15/03/2017 09:30

Morning!

Feels like early spring is finally here, in Vogue terms that means I need a new coat, have my eye on something but on self-imposed spreading out the wardrobe spends so not for a couple of weeks

lib so glad you decided to take a study break, I almost suggested this the other week in response to your post but didn't think it was my place, can't wait for a proper catch up at the mu.

Blingy glad the Chloe flats are keepers, they have my size and v v tempted... Sympathise with your ds issues btw, we are working through similar!

Blair all sounds v hard but once you and dh have the necessary lifestyle changes in place it will normalise. The belt sounded much needed and sure it looks fab.

Everyone that dress is very me, thanks for linking!

Have to run into work, back properly later.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2017 10:01

Look how bang on trend you are Dry Gazelles are in!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/03/2017 11:33

Thank you shop, he seems to be managing the gastritis with omeprazole at the moment and understandably we are focusing on the more recent diabetes diagnosis, but it would be nice to have a fizz-fuelled moan together at the MU Flowers

Queen I meant to say, saw your recent earring pins and wanted to tell you about some lovely ones I got in Accessorize which are annoyingly not on the site. They are tiny hoops with crystals on, 3 pairs in silver, gold and rose gold (I'm sharing mine with my 2 sisters). They would look so good in an upper-ear piercing! (I don't know any piercing lingo haha)

Mara the belt isn't coming for 2-6 weeks! There's a national Gucci Belt Shortage! Hmm :(

queencerulean · 15/03/2017 15:57

blair thanks for thinking of me. I agree accessorise have some lovely earrings and I bought dd some in there (she is very excited as only 2 weeks left until she can put them in!). I can't wear normal earrings in my helix piercing though as it tends to swell and so the backs get too tight. I buy proper cartilage earrings. Hoping at some point it will settle (takes a year to heal apparently).

Like mara I'm v excited for spring! Dug out my Chinese blue cardigan and wore it today. It always marks the start of spring as I put it away over the winter. Whilst browsing the other day I came across these shoes. It was love at first sight. They arrived today and I've already worn them on the school run with my jeans rolled up.

FedupNagging · 15/03/2017 18:55

Fab ootd on Monday Blair and Queen gorgeous flats - they made me smile Smile

I got so bored trying to decide which trainers/pumps to order, I ordered both the gazelles and superga's - really happy to see I'm bang on trend for a change!

The grey gazelles are perfect - had them 2 days and worn them 2 days!

Having lusted after the silver superga's since last summer, I am now not so sure Confused so will think about it for a couple of days.

I tried this Finery jumper the other day - loved it except the front seam ran straight over my boob which really really annoyed me. Also tried this Zara top but it wasn't very flattering.

I tried on several pairs of trousers too but none were quite right - a very frustrating morning all in all.

FedupNagging · 15/03/2017 19:07

Oops, I linked the mens gazelles with the horrid yellow edging - these here are mine - with the white edging

AmberNectarine · 15/03/2017 20:01

shop I'm more inclined to think slightly taped like 501s.

blair I have gastritis - perfectly manageable - I barely ever need omeprazole, only if I really, really cane the booze. Sorry to hear about the various diagnoses though, it's really hard, esp when it's a relative and you can't do it all for them!

lib we should be moving within the month. I'm totally in denial atm!

So nice to finally see a bit of sunshine - gives me hope for beer gardens and prosecco (my favourite type of parenting).

shopafrolic · 15/03/2017 20:11

Which ones Amber? The Sarah pic or the Alexa?

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 15/03/2017 20:18

The Alexa

libertydoddle · 16/03/2017 06:55

The removals people coming around to quote was a big penny drop moment for me amber.

Thanks all for the support on the study decision.

Fedup i really like those Gazelles and great ballet flats QueenC.

MU is very close now. Need to start outfit planning Smile

FedupNagging · 16/03/2017 08:01

Ankles are out! Ootd is clarkes navy brogues, boden navy crops, CDC raspberry jumper and Valentino cream and pink scarf and various silver bracelets.

Hope I'm not too cold

Have a good day everyone.

Dreamqueen · 16/03/2017 08:06

I'm very tempted to buy the dark grey gazelles but am also trying to enforce a shopping ban at the moment. DP keeps asking how many pairs of trainers do I need?

Shop where are these jean pics that you've mentioned? I'm on the perfect jeans hunt. I've promised myself an expensive pair for when I lose a few lbs & complete 3 months on not smoking. On day 5.

shopafrolic · 16/03/2017 08:09

Well done on the no smoking Dream - huge achievement. I used to be a 40 a day smoker back in the day - reading Allen Carr's easy way to give up smoking was a huge help to me.

OP posts:
queencerulean · 16/03/2017 08:30

fedup I've got the ankles out too as I'm wearing brogues too (for the first time-hope they don't rub) with black trousers and a blue/green blouse.

I've been doing a make up sort out. I don't have loads but have a few lipsticks. I've chucked one and given one to dd as it looks really nice on her. I've realised my blusher was bought for my wedding in 2004!! Can anyone beat that Grin

dream well done on thevsmoking. Imagine all the trainers you can buy with the saved money.

Dreamqueen · 16/03/2017 08:41

Thanks Shop Will look now.
Thanks for encouragement Shop & QueenC Thinking of adding this navy blazer to my non smoking wish list, opinions please?

shopafrolic · 16/03/2017 09:36

Great style Dream but 100% viscose would put me off......

OP posts:
Dreamqueen · 16/03/2017 09:40

Shop their info is a bit confusing. Up near the top it says 100% wool, which is part of why I like it. Further down it mentions viscous and acetate. (not sure if that means the lining). I was going to order online but looks like it'll have to wait & be a shoppingtask on morning of MU. Smile not that I need too much encouragement for that kind of task.

Everyonelovessparkles · 16/03/2017 13:26

Nice blazer dream. I think it is wool and it's the lining that is viscose / acetate. And well done on the no smoking!

I've ordered a couple of pair of jeans from the outnet 7FAM distressed skinny and rang and bone slim leg and 7FAM straight leg. I don't plan on keeping them all but thought it worth trying a few styles. Hope you find a good fit shop from your purchases.

I'm also in need of some spring shoes - when it's too warm for boots but not warm enough for sandals. I'm thinking of some tan loafers but what does everyone else wear. Preferably something that could be worn with skirts as well as jeans.

Lucky you marsha heading off on holiday. Enjoy the day event. Did you get a new outfit in the end?

Glad you like the gazelles fedup. They were a staple of mine in the 90s.

dream your DHs comment about trainers reminded me of a boyfriend I had a uni who commented on the number of trainers I owned, when we broke up he dumped me my DM said 'well, he wasn't really the one for you, what with that comment about your trainers!' Smile

shopafrolic · 16/03/2017 17:58

You're right Dream - it is written up badly on their page. Go for it if wool - it's v nice.
Everyone I am in denim hell. I ordered some 7FAM straight legs which are a fab fit and very flattering but not the shape I am searching for as they need to be looser on the leg so back they go (In the old days I would have kept them). Everything else I have seen doesn't look right or isn't in my size. I think I will need to try a bucket load on which will be hideous.
