queenc 40th not until next October but you've got to sew the seeds early Grin

queencerulean · 17/12/2016 21:52

for shop

Drywhitethanks · 17/12/2016 22:06

Everyone I think she's just not ever seen me in wide legged trousers.
I've been thinking about Xmas day outfit too. Probably one of my Boden ponte dresses, opaques and ankle boots. Not sure really but need to think as we are away from 22-27 so will need to pack.

queencerulean · 17/12/2016 22:22

these are lush

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/12/2016 23:02

I like your thinking everyone but my big birthday was this year Grin 10 years to go!

Dry your ring sounds fab!

On Xmas day I will probably wear the gold skirt (assuming I keep it, haven't kept anything lately!) with star Tippi... Though PILs house is always very warm so we'll see.

LinusLovesBretons · 18/12/2016 03:11

Evening!

I am feeling a bit better today and managed to eat a littlebit but without much appetite and only to please DH.

I really like that gold skirt blair as it's not too shiny but more of an 'antique' gold. I think it'll be a very useful piece in your wardrobe that you can dress up or down.

My fantasy Christmas present would be a Loro Piana coat. They are all the softest cashmere so ££££ but I really think a good coat can make any outfit look better.

blair and dry talking about rings reminded me that DH's wedding anniversary persent to me is finally ready and I should hopefully receive it next week.

It's a cushion cut sapphire with two half moon diamonds flanking it. I pinned an image of a ring I had seen in a London jewellers window display ages ago and now DH has had it replicated hopefully

Right, early night for me as it's going to be a busy day tomorrow.

Stokey · 18/12/2016 08:13

That sounds amazing Linus, I love sapphires and have an emerald cut one on my engagement ring. Please post a picture when you get it.

Great skirt Blair, There's a blue version of it I like too.

No idea what I'll wear on Christmas day. Am going to be in deepest countryside with the in-laws so it's casual.

Very hungover this morning. I just spilt a cup of tea over myself trying to find something for the DDs to watch. Ow.

FedupNagging · 18/12/2016 09:19

Oh dear Stokey hope you feel better soon.

Glad you're recovering Linus. There is nothing worse than travelling when feeling really ill. Your ring sounds gorgeous.

Everyone I spent 10yrs telling dh what I would like for my recent big birthday - was also a big anniversary too so he was backed into a corner really. probably bought it just to get some peace Grin

Dry did you like your wide legged trousers? You normally go for quite fitted outfits. I love mine and there is a slight added bonus that no one round here seems to be wearing them except one v stylish/quirky friend.

Not sure what to wear on Christmas Day; I'm cooking and we have the dgc's so no doubt by the end of the day I'll be covered in dribble and chocolate. On that basis, nothing very dressy!

FedupNagging · 18/12/2016 09:24

My links didn't work the other day so will try again:

This is the vintage Chanel camera bag I'd like to find in my stocking

HappyGirlNow · 18/12/2016 10:01

Love that Chanel fedup 👍🏼

HappyGirlNow · 18/12/2016 11:31

Just bought that gold skirt blair - I was considering it a few weeks ago but forgot about it - now it's on sale why not? Grin I think it'll be a great wardrobe addition, thanks for reminding me about it!

HappyGirlNow · 18/12/2016 11:32

Only worried it might be a tad short for me.. but hope it's a keeper..

AmberNectarine · 18/12/2016 12:49

I'd quite like an Audi R8 convertible. Not sure it would fit in my stocking, but Santa is welcome to park it on the drive.

DH has just informed me he has finished my Xmas shopping and has overspent. Good man.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/12/2016 14:10

I paid full price for mine Happy! How annoying. I ordered a 12 though (to allow for overeating) and it's now OOS so I'll suck it up. Hope it's a keeper for us both!

One of the most annoying things for me about this time of year is not being in the office or at home, so can't order things in the sales easily. I have been known to just send stuff to my mum's...

Fedup that bag is just lush.

Linus your ring sounds beautiful, hope you do get it this week.

AmberNectarine · 18/12/2016 17:00

Probably wise - my suede skirt from Warehouse is a tiny 8! Just about fits.

Drywhitethanks · 18/12/2016 19:01

Linus your ring sounds stunning.
Fedup what did you get? PM me if you don't want to say on thread nosey . I actually loved the wide legged trousers, so comfy, but.........I lived in wide legged trousers/combat trousers with fitted tops for about 8years in the late 90s, have got used to seeing myself in more fitted stuff and think it's more flattering for me too.

DH and I are holed up in the living room with the contents of our drinks cabinet, one Christmas cake, a chocolate birthday cake and anything else that could be at risk.....we have a house full of teenagers again, why do I always agree to this? Hmm

The rules are:
No stragglers
No spirit smugglers
No puckers
will all probably be ignored
I'm wearing my leather skinnies for strength Grin
Wish us luck....kick off 8pm Shock

queencerulean · 18/12/2016 19:06

Good luck dry. My dd has gone to a sleepover having painted her nails, put on make up and spent a hour on FaceTime discussing tonight with her friend. I despair-she's only 11 (fgrin).

Another fashion fail from me today-spent most the day in sports kit for yet another trip to IKEA, a quick run and spent the afternoon assembling a bookcase. Now attempting to finish all the present wrapping!

Drywhitethanks · 18/12/2016 19:36

Have just ordered this skirt I know it's a bit nuts before sales but I'm no goid at sales chicken and might not fit anyway. Will see.
Other than black what colour's would you put this khaki with ?

OP posts:
queencerulean · 18/12/2016 20:19

That's lovely dry. How about cream/beige/neutral colours?

Everyonelovessparkles · 18/12/2016 20:36

good luck dry! Hope the teenagers behaviour themselves. I've got that skirt in black! I really like it but could have dine with an 11 as the 10 was a touch tight but the 12 is a tad too big. As queenc says, cream would look good with it and maybe something with a hint of gold? Not sure if the top I wore to the MU is your style but maybe something like that? Navy might also look good with it as an alternative to black?

stokey hope the hangover wasn't too bad.

shopafrolic · 19/12/2016 08:00

Hi all - sorry for absence. DH was admitted to hospital on Friday and this weekend has been traumatic to say the least. Not out of the woods yet so just wanted to swing by and wish Amber a Happy Birthday.

Back soon x

libertydoddle · 19/12/2016 08:03

Hope the party went ok dry. Lovely skirt. Cream would be gorgeous with it. And I like navy with kakhi.

It's my favourite week.... Countdown to Christmas eve.Xmas Smile OOTD Toast navy and gold stripe dress, opaques, tan brogues, the red peacoat, olive green scarf, all sundries packed in my navy Pliage.

libertydoddle · 19/12/2016 08:05

Hugs shop. Hope the week improves rapidly from here.

Happy Birthday amber Cake WineCakeWine

FedupNagging · 19/12/2016 09:15

Oh no Shop, sending you Flowers and hugs. Hope you all start to see an improvement asap.

Flowers also to Vegas if you're lurking. Hope your dm is coping.

Wine Wine for Amber, happy birthday.

Fab leather skirt Dry - how about a red top? How did the party go?

Need to get a wriggle on, meant to be leaving in less than an hour and not done any packing whatsoever.

Stokey · 19/12/2016 09:44

Oh no Shop thinking of you.

Happy birthday Amber Wine [fizz] if you're not in need of a liver transplant!

Hope the party went well Dry, love that skirt

Hangover finally dissipated but am thankful my Christmas drinks are pretty much done now. Too old to handle 5 nights out in a week!

Blair - you're a sales ninja - any idea on when Cos & &OS start?
