Don't worry Lib, you'll only get a fine if you have been late already in the last year :) and for you. DH and I frequently snap at each other on the way out of the house, so I know how you feel, but you're right not to text! Flowers

QueenC oh no, hope you feel better for the weekend.

Welcome Jenny!

OOTD is brown! (Lib you'll like it Grin) LKB riding boots, Jaeger camel hair pencil skirt, Uniqlo camel merino cardigan, gold jewellery.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/12/2016 09:53

Anyone looking for a stylish Xmas jumper, the outnet has lots in today (Chinti & Parker exclusive designs and also Markus Lupfer sequin ones)!

shopafrolic · 09/12/2016 11:39

Queen have you NCed again?
Gutted as cocktails have been cancelled due to illness tonight so we're heading to a local pub in the village instead - not quite the same. Will be rescheduled for after Christmas. So I'll be wearing thick black opaques and Pistols instead with the dress - good thing it can be dressed up or down.
But in good news I managed to get Ibiza Classics tickets at the O2 for next December. Xmas Smile

shop I regularly do a subtle name change-like to keep you on your toes.

After my mammoth last minute shopping from my sick bed the other day, I am inundated with parcels Grin. Although the thing I ordered on next delivery from Warehouse has not arrived even though it should have been here yesterday. More annoyingly there is no one to speak to in person, just email. Grr.

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 09/12/2016 14:13

Linus I'm dreaming of a white lady now....

kittyhello · 09/12/2016 14:52

Ah here you are, had a super busy week last week and didn't log on, bot even to lurk but funnily enough I walked past Monsoon and was looking at this sparkly dress only to find Shop and Blingy had bought similar versions.

Have enjoyed reading your Christmas preparations but I'm with Queen re: my love for Christmas and can't wait until dc stop believing so that we can spending Christmas abroad. bah humbug me although I do get into the spirit and do that blooming elf thing although I forgot last night and had to quickly find somewhere to put him.

No s&b news for me but am stalking a few items for the sales

libertydoddle · 09/12/2016 15:52

Elf free house here! I love Christmas but draw the line at commiting myself to a nightly task!!!

Blair phew re the fine. I am usually well on top of it so haven't been late before. Lovely OOTD. I haven't been wearing the LKB boots much. Find them very hot for wearing all day in an office.

Shame about your cocktail night shop.

I'm wearing my Xmas jumper today! It's from TKMaxx, oatmeal marl with a robin on the front and intersia sleeves in oatmeal, red and grey. I've had loads of compliments and people asking where I got it. Best of all it's 100â„… merino so no sparks Smile

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/12/2016 16:04

ds's computer is on its way so i'm relieved about that, it was the final big thing i needed ordering and it should be here next week. ive got maybe one or two bits left to get but nothing major. candles burning, pine scent right now in one room and a cinnamon scent in the other.

Had a quick hair trim today and finally, FINALLY, the last remnants from that disastrous perm are GONE. only taken two years!!

my christmas jumper this year is fluffy red and white intersia pattern on it which is mostly snowflakes. absolutely a triumph in man made fibres but its goign to be worn so little it doesnt matter at all

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 09/12/2016 18:32

My bed socks have arrived!!!!! Once dd is in bed I'm taking myself off to the bath with a candle & a gin, then retire to bed with warm tootsies Grin

shopafrolic · 09/12/2016 18:39

Nice dress Kitty did you buy it?
Gutted my night out has now been completely cancelled so I will be drinking at home with sparkly nails. Rubbish.

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 09/12/2016 18:45

Ah shop that's rubbish. Hope you're drinking something festive?

shopafrolic · 09/12/2016 19:24

Just wine Jenny - lots of wine. Thank God I didn't buy the sequin dress. At least the Oliver Bonas one is more wearable.

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 09/12/2016 20:15

Ah I'm on the gin (hic). Although I do have a nice bottle of Sancerre in the fridge...

Everyonelovessparkles · 09/12/2016 20:34

Shame about your night out shop.

Hope the bed socks live up to expectations jenny. I always used to wear socks in bed from about oct-April, but DH hates them so I wear them less these days, but a nice cashmere pair so sound tempting! And welcome! I'm quite new around here and everyone is lovely and friendly Smile

lib as much as I love the festive build up there's no way I'm starting the elf thing. That sounds like hell to me. Hope you're feeling a bit better.

AmberNectarine · 09/12/2016 20:38

Come to East London shop, I'm off to some shitty nightclub!

Wearing black sequin leggings (H&M), chiffon cold shoulder top (Zara, much nicer than it sounds), burgundy velvet courts (Sam Edelman), burgundy fur jacket (TS, bought at the MU) and velvet leopard bag (Saint Laurent). Hair in high pony and smoky eye/nude lip make up. Also wearing a little gold and diamond necklace I picked up at Fortnums last night. Bit of a rush job, but it'll do!

My Xmas jumper says 'Sleigh my name, sleigh my name', which I find amusing, even if no one else does. 100% acrylic, natch.

AmberNectarine · 09/12/2016 20:40

Oh yes, and welcome to jenny! My bed socks are furry with cat faces from TK Maxx but I do love them. I put my new cashmere wristwarmers into a 60 wash at the weekend so I'd have NO chance with socks.

kittyhello · 09/12/2016 20:43

Shop no I didn't buy the dress but if I had an office party I would have been tempted, what a PITA about your night out, I hate being let down these days especially when I've been looking forward to going somewhere.

hello Jenny looking forward to chatting with you

better go and think of something 'fun' to do with the elf, luckily enough the dc are easily pleased and I don't have to go to too much effort Xmas Blush

Longislandicetee · 09/12/2016 20:48

love the sound of the outfit AmberGrin

I am wearing a Santa hat, Christmas jumper (with j crew matchsticks of anyone looking for smidgeon of fasjion!) and we have just done our last tree with christmassy candles burning and the obligatory Christmas music. Most activity I have had in 2 days. knackered!

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 09/12/2016 21:06

Everyone I'm not really sure why I bought them - I rarely wear socks to bed! It's never really cold enough and my feet are often out of bed Confused A little bit of dirty enabling on instagram resulted in such frivolous spending.

Another elf free house here - I'm honestly not creative (or patient) enough. Dd1 is 3 so she's happy enough with the tree.

Everyone is so welcoming here Smile

Drywhitethanks · 09/12/2016 21:29

Right I'm packed for London mystery trip.
DH said to take something smart. You all know he has no clue about fashion. Also I have a lot of levels if smart Confused so I've packed my Sandro black fit and flare short sleeved dress with black ghillies and animal print clutch.
For day time I'm wearing my MU outfit.
Black leather skinnies
Tan R and B Chelsea boot
Black long line rubbed wool sweater
Animal print scarcamel coat

Excited

justasecond · 09/12/2016 22:34

Hi everyone, so much to catch up on, I really must try better on this thread. Have been so busy not to mention stressed. welcome to jenny my forever cold feet are jealous of your socks!
