I am feeling jetlagged and still a bit sick but we arrived safe and sound at my parents.

Have just seen a jumper in Selfridges that has gone to top of my sales wish list. I was in there getting some final presents. Dear. God. The. Noise. It was hell. Working on a beauty counter there in the run up to Christmas must be a nightmare.

Ah Lib but think of all that commission they'll earn, especially from people who'll panic buy any old gift set doing last minute gifts, I'll bet they're rubbing their hands.

Thanks for birthday wishes. Have had a wonderful day and was lucky recipient of this bag plus diamond earrings, make up, vogue sub etc. DH did very well and we've had an amazing day together. I'm a lucky lady! Now soaking in the bath with pink champagne and the lovely new bath stuff DS picked out for me.

I realise this is a first world problem, but I'm very disappointed understatement. Happy, the warehouse skirt arrived, and it doesn't seem to have been designed to sit on the waist (what's the point?!) - size 12 had a 32" waist, seriously! It's really nice other than that and I want it for Thursday desperate so I have ordered it at full price with £8 delivery from Selfridges. It's in stock there if you need another size as well. I went for a size 8 based on the 3" difference between size guide and actual waist size (though in reality I could pinch about 5 inches on the size 12, my waist is 28"). Such a pain!

Think I will be going back to doing more real life shopping in the new year! So many returns lately!

I'm feeling fairly relaxed as I finished work on Friday and have just had one dc home today. Saw a play today very local and out to lunch tomorrow and Wed.

Am excited to have bought my first DvF dress, hopefully the shape is good. I'm so bored with not wearing print or dresses to things like dinner and lunch hope it's a good'un. Wish it would get here in time for the lovely lunch dates I have!

What's everyone actually doing for Christmas? We are off to PILs on Friday eve, will then go to my mum's on the 27th for a couple of nights. Still at the age where we are not expected to host!

I went shopping to cheer myself up and bought this sweater and a new Lipstick Queen lipstick.
DH is still ill but at home at least. On antibiotics and has an endoscopy booked for Thursday - going to be a quiet Christmas for us. The party that I was due to be throwing has been moved to one of the other mum's houses (thank goodness). Waiting to see whether I also need to cancel our mini Christmas Eve get together.......

I'm back at home already missing the sun & my sister. Trying to catch up on news from the last three weeks.

Good grief....been out for alternative Christmas lunch. DS dropped me off and picked me up love having 17 years of taxi points in store . When we got home I asked him trying not to slur to do his washing up.
He answered "I'm going out, next time you need a lift get a taxi"
I stumbled hid car keys.... "ahem, that's RUDE, washing up then keys, AND you owe me 17 yrs of lifts thanks"

Morning! I am now on holiday. Our journey was "interesting" but our hotel is fantastic, which given the arm and leg dh and I have each sawn off to pay for it, is not surprising! We have a massive 2 bedroom suite with a huge lounge between us and the dcs, 2 big bathrooms, an extra loo for dhand big wardrobes for all of us. It feels v bizarre to have left our very Christmassy home on Monday with all the decorations, smells and music to then have spent Tuesday lying on a sun lounger!

Dh scurried my Christmas present into the safe, and hasn't chosen our usual PIN number for hotel safes. I finally said to him, "so my present isn't the Mac laptop I wanted then?" He looked at me like I have 3 heads and said "no you can buy that yourself!"
