Morning!

Thanks for Christmas edition Dry and just wow about your weekend celebrations, what a husband!

kitty nice shirt in short sleeves too. Have only worn mine once for night out but think will do it for winter daytime under my cream Marant jumper with side split so you see more of the print than just collar. Seems a shame to waste dry cleaning on a peek of collar.

lib would have loved to do lunch on 21st but will already be away for holidays. Looking forward to a festive hair appointment/lunch mu with the lovely Shop this week though.

Blingy congratulations on your promotion Flowers [vintage krug] [cigar]!! Love the blossom bracelet and the dress. Before I clicked on dress link I though it will be beautiful but something that would not suit me in a million years and was not wrong Grin.

While Christmas shopping in Liberty last week I bought the diptyque epices delices Christmas candle for the living room and have been enjoying it all weekend. Hesitated between that and the blue one but the latter was a bit too much like being in mass.

Stokey spontaneous nights out are the best, can just picture you sipping your cocktail nonchalantly in sequins and trainers.

justa what bastards. Friends of ours who rent student properties got sick of this and packaged up a bottle of urine they found in a trashed bedroom and returned it to the student's parents address as a poignant comment about their little darling's behaviour.

One enjoy your party

everyone now I've met you can just picture you in the outfit you described. Sounds really nice.

jenny welcome to the thread Smile. Have never had the white co bed socks but think their cashmere is good quality.

queenc can see where you're coming from, mess stresses me out too but unfortunately not dh. The floor at his side of the bed is a shit pit of car magazines that he insists on keeping for 'reference' Confused.

Marsha glad the party went well. Am trying to organise one for January but balking at the cost of venue hire plus food & entertainer.

linus your dinner party outfit sounded spot on. I would imagine the women to be pretty groomed where you are and make quite an effort to dress up for evenings out. London is so casual but luckily have a few occasions to dress up this week. Velvet Marant party dress will get its first airing.

Hope I don't lose this epic when I click post...

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/12/2016 10:23

Morning all

Dry what a fab weekend you've had, loved hearing about it.

Everyone I just wore my Zarita in the end, I never remember how much I love it until I put it on :)

Linus that sounds so Christmassy and bet your dcs loved it.

Amazing dress Blingy! Hope this week isn't too tiring.

One good news about the party, what will you wear?

Mara ah, not just my DH that keeps random old car magazines in the bedroom then!

We might be going to a big NYE party so I'm using it as an excuse to maybe get a new dress Grin am out tomorrow so that'll be something from my wardrobe.

kittyhello · 12/12/2016 11:17

Good morning lovely MNV Xmas Smile

Dry Wow what a weekend, thoroughly deserved I bet you are still on a high

Bling such an exquisite dress it will look so pretty on you

Linus what a lovely memorable proposal, what lovely Chrismassy memories for the dc

Do any MNV, I'll offer it out to you guys first, want a £10 off £30 spend at Boden? Code is on Pin, if no-one wants it I'll put the code on here, it expires on 16/12

libertydoddle · 12/12/2016 11:47

Stokey would be fantastic if you could make it. Mara shame you won't be around. I had hoped to do lunch on 14th but I am struggling with study and have an assignment due on Thursday so I've booked Wednesday off to hide in the library and finish it.

And yes price of parties for DC is a shocker! I booked DD's a few weeks ago. Was lucky to get a slot at a local place that provides staff to entertain the kids, themed decor and food on a 'price per head's basis which isn't too £££. I just need to bring a cake and party bags. Am also paying for something with all the cousins in Ireland too, will either be an indoor play place or cinema and McDonald's. Madness! But she is hugely excited about it all which is lovely.

libertydoddle · 12/12/2016 11:50

OOTD post - Cos midi forest green dress which I haven't worn in a while, with brown opaques, R&B heeled Chelsea boots, kakhi leopard print scarf with orange trim, brick red See by Chloe peacoat. Lot's to carry so using navy Pliage.

Stokey · 12/12/2016 14:53

OOTD sounds good Lib

I managed to buy sparkly midi skirt and black velour tee. But the starry boots were sold out in my size, I'm going to try & size down & order on line.

What dress are you thinking of Blair?

Your weekend sounded fab Dry

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 12/12/2016 21:48

Dry your weekend sounds divine! Glad you had a lovely time.

Stokey I love those boots Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/12/2016 22:11

elbow op done and i am now sporting 4 stitches and am stingy and sore but finally it's gone! I'm just really hoping this is the end of it now because it's been rubbish dealing with it not going away for almost a full year and i really don't want to go through it again. I couldn't see any of it but my sister assures me it was suitably gross! I did get a bit faint when i had to change positions and saw how much blood there was, I'm not good AT ALL with blood, it always makes me feel faint so i had to turn away really fast!

dry your weekend away sounds perfect, glad you enjoyed it so much

blingy how are you feeling now?

stokey those star boots are AMAZING!!!

queencerulean · 12/12/2016 22:19

Ugh, I'm becoming an expert de-nitter. Will have to check my own hair tomorrow for the little bastards as dd and ds hair was crawling with them.

stokey fab bus for you-can see you in all of them.
one sounds hideous but will hopefully be so much better. Hope the sting and sore settles soon.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/12/2016 22:33

Ouch One but glad it's over and done with. Fingers crossed that's it sorted now!

Stokey fabulous &OS buys! Hope you get the boots.

I have just ordered this Reiss dress, but am open to suggestions for LBDs that would suit me in case I don't like it. Needs to be bodycon or at least very fitted on the waist.

I also like this Rare dress but they don't have it in black, other than a shiny snake fabric which looks cheaper.

libertydoddle · 12/12/2016 22:47

Blair there was a LBD feature in the Saturday Times magazine I think. Am in bed but will try to remember to dig it out of the recycling pile tomorrow. I love the neckline if that Reiss one.

QueenC sympathy at nits. Horrible little feckers.

One good to hear the op is over. Fingers crossed it heals well.

libertydoddle · 12/12/2016 22:49

Great buys Stokey and well done on making it in there with a hangover Grin. Hope you get the boots.

AmberNectarine · 12/12/2016 23:30

I ordered this dress today. Not sure it will suit me as I very rarely wear florals but I've had my eye on it for a while, so worth a try.

Everyonelovessparkles · 13/12/2016 05:32

dry sounds like you had a fantastic birthday! And great dressing up opportunity. Smile

Nice dress blingy. Which colour did you get as the link seemed to bring up a few options. Have you decided to go on the holiday?

blair glad you enjoyed wearing the zarita. I bet you looked fab.

Nice buys kitty.

I popped into F&M at Heathrow yesterday and saw lots of horseradish. Made me think of mara Grin

Nice dress amber. Always worth a try if you've had your eye on it, especially as it was in the sale.

I bought a gold pleated skirt but it's going back as it's just too long and not really me.

Sorry if I've missed anyone, sometimes this thread goes so fast!

shopafrolic · 13/12/2016 07:43

Speedy recovery One
Love that velour tee Stokey - what's the sizing like?
Lib so happy you get so much wear out of the peacoat :)
No fashion news here. I was due to go for a filling replacement at the dentist today but have woken up with a raging sore throat so will have to postpone. Am due to meet the lovely Mara for lunch tomorrow so it needs to do one.

libertydoddle · 13/12/2016 09:28

Wearing it again today shop Wink and despite a lot of wear it still looks really good and feels so soft.

Rest of outfit is Uniqlo midi length camel skirt, Cos dark brown merino roll neck, brown opaques and the trusty R&B heeled Chelsea boots. I absolutely love the look of the roll neck with the peacoat, feels v 70's vibe!

Stokey · 13/12/2016 11:47

I got the 36 Shop, would say it's a 10. Not too fitted and comes just over my hips.

Hope you recover in time for mini MU with Mara

ow One, hope your elbow feels better soon.

I can picture you in both those dresses Blair

LinusLovesBretons · 13/12/2016 18:07

Quickly popping in to wish one a speedy recovery.

I have been feeling grotty since Monday so I am trying to take it easy but that's not easy with Christmas happening in less than two weeks.

FedupNagging · 13/12/2016 20:03

One glad your elbow is finally sorted - hope you're not in too much pain and you feel better soon.

Dry wow, what a fabulous weekend you had.

Stokey love your OS buys

Hope you feel better for tomorrow Shop - I've got the same and cancelled my dental appointment yesterday. Have another christmas do tomorrow so hoping I feel better by then.

Can't remember who mentioned hoards of car mags but ds1 has 110 here (yup, I counted them) - he doesn't live at home any longer but has no room to store them where he lives Hmm. Am currently boxing them up and they can go in the loft (when the repairs are finished)

I have a 'little black dress' size hole in my wardrobe Shock as the one's I have (all 3 of them!) are looking a little tired/am bored with. I really liked the Monsoon lace someone (Blair?) returned.
Like this
and
This from Reiss I don't suit a dress that is too fitted which is a shame as all the really lovely ones are very fitted.

maradesbois · 13/12/2016 21:56

Dry GrinGrinGrin you made my day! (horseradish-related)

Fedup am not keen on the sleeves on the first dress you linked but love the Reiss one and can see you in it. Sending empathy for the car magazines and raise you a random vintage steering wheel which turned up here this morning!

libertydoddle · 13/12/2016 21:56

Cos order arrived today and sadly it's all going back. This is the curse of Cos - when it's good it's very good but it reminded me again why I never order online from them unless I get free delivery.

Blair I have looked at that Times LBD article I mentioned but nothing is shouting your name - nothing very fitted and lots of midis...maybe this French Connection one overpriced

Whistles sale has started this clearly isn't a LBD but I have seen in several times in store and it's gorgeous and I adore this little number - perfect xmas party dress.

Fedup for you what about this one? not fitted but very sexy!

maradesbois · 13/12/2016 22:02

One hope you're taking it easy and starting to recover, the elbow thing sounded nasty.

Lib great outfit. I think you and everyone have similar taste, lots of skirts and similar colour palette. Do you do the colours thing everyone? Love a nod to the seventies too, my apc trench with polo neck and boots feels like just the right amount of retro.

Linus and Shop get well soon Flowers

maradesbois · 13/12/2016 22:11

Fedup lace LBD

libertydoddle · 13/12/2016 22:47

Thanks Mara. I think Everyone and I have v similar style too and I have blatantly copied her on several occasions, most recently by buying the short suede skirt!

Ok - a serious topic ladies...what's your sales strategy this year???? Grin. I think I am going to focus on accessories, I never invest enough in things like belts...and I think I miss a trick by not accessorising well enough.

libertydoddle · 14/12/2016 12:30

Where is everyone???? I am at home studying as it's like you all know and are trying not to distract me Grin
