Mara so glad you're feeling better.Smile And again, oh yes to the cashmere joggers! This may end up being my buy of the year already!!!

Stokey good luck! And get well soon!

Littlered, you poor thing. You must get sea salt spray if you don't have some already. If you use it every few hours you should see the benefit on your sinuses in 48 hours. I like Primark outfit too though the flowery top sooo wouldn't suit me!!

Lib, I can see that on you. I think it would go with the autumnal colours you have in your wardrobe and also your skin tone. Problem is maintenance. It's the kind of bob that I can imagining you looking awesome in when you walk out of the salon but if you can't repeat it, you could look end up looking looking like an Irish mam.Grin

libertydoddle · 17/01/2017 21:09

PMSL at 'irish mam'. Well you've killed that mental fantasy of myself channelling Jackie O stone dead Blingy Grin

Shop no don't text him. I haven't been to him in ages and I know I won't be able to get to him before I need a cut, I'll just go local.

Littlered I think blazers can be tricky if you are busty, fit needs to be spot on especially on the shoulders. Have you thought about booking personal shopper at somewhere like John Lewis? I did about 2 years ago. I only bought one pair of shoes but got some great ideas.

Longislandicetee · 17/01/2017 21:27

Lib Grin Give it a go at least, I think it's got potential!! I don't want to be responsible for killing the fantasy!!

Drywhitethanks · 17/01/2017 21:42

Littlered are you me? Grin
I suit more classic, fitted clothing too. Think someone called me a 'classic gamine'. Not busty but same height.
Navy trench sounds a great idea and I'll. r interested to see what accessories you get and I copy!!

Forgot to say, glad you're loving the cashmere joggers Blingy

and Shop love the coat, very sleek style and as you said no bulk

Lib why don't you give it a go, whenever I go for something different I always think, well it's only hair, it'll grow out Grin

Little your style sounds pretty similar to mine, I bought 2 blazers last year from JL one in black and one in navy I wear them both casually, the navy one usually with breton and jeans. I'm of a similar height to you but sadly without the chest Sad

kittyhello · 17/01/2017 21:56

X post with Blingy I wrote half a message, went away and came back to finish it.

Little was also going to say that Dry is of a similar style too and she bought a black blazer last year, was it Reiss?

libertydoddle · 18/01/2017 09:39

OOTD post....
Me&Em navy midi dress (puffed sleeve, V. 70's), navy opaques, tan R&B heeled Chelsea boots, brick See by Chloe peacoat (best MNV deal ever shop), black Modalu tote, Boden 'oceanic' cashmere scarf, beige Cos cashmere beanie, raybans. V happy with this look!

Cosy factor enhanced by addition of long sleeved M&S heatgen t-shirt tucked sexily into my tights Grin

What's everyone else wearing today?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/01/2017 10:00

Lib Grin I always tuck thermals into tights. Mine are all in the wash today though, brr! OOTD is grey turtleneck jersey tube dress from Baukjen, with a black cardigan and black waist belt. Luckily my office is nice and warm.

Mara just wanted to add my voice - you've done so well to get the internship in such a competitive area, and tbh I think anyone would feel the way you do after a few days in a new job, it's exhausting and scary! So don't beat yourself up about it. I'm sure you'll be the best intern they've ever had!

So I went to Burberry and the coat needed 1.5cm off the sleeves Grin which seems like nothing, but of course it makes a big difference. I'm picking it up on Monday and it cost £25. Just need the weather to warm up!

Blingy glad to hear the cashmere joggers (and bling of course) are playing a part in your recovery Flowers oh and loved your outnet buys esp the HL dress and sparkly MK jumper.

Lib I definitely think you could pull off the haircut but I think it would be a lot of styling, esp as I think of you as much more curly than that!

I'm going to a circus themed murder mystery party in a month (cousin's 21st) and found out yesterday that I am the elephant performer! I need to buy a sequin dress or something similar for a circus performer outfit. Suggestions welcomed - I quite like this so far...

Longislandicetee · 18/01/2017 11:32

That dress is fab Blair. When i am back on my feet, I will also need to look at what adjustments I need to make to my coat. Would never have thought of doing that.

OOTD: the cashmere joggersGrin with bejewelled 3/4 J Crew tee, Freya underwear and compression knee high socks. My rings and CK watch. I realised I haven't worn a bracelet for ages which is naked for me!

My tops and underwear are in drawers that would require me to bend down so a no no at the moment and dh has to do it. He went straight to the tip of the pile and I said "no not that it doesn't go with the bottoms". Cue much rolling of eyes and muttering "youre going to be in bed or on the sofa all day". Not.the.point.dude.Not.the.point.Hmm

queencerulean · 18/01/2017 13:01

Hi all, nothing exciting here, just trying to juggle work with an ill ds. No exciting ootd, just jeans and cobalt jumper.
Have had a quick skim read so apologies if I miss anyone...
one hope you're settling in ok
blingy cashmere joggers sound divine. Love wearing joggers around the house especially if ill
mara it's amazing how you lose your confidence isn't it? I totally didn't have any at all when I went back to work last year. You are doing amazing and I bet you are the best dressed intern!
To all those that are ill, hope you're feeling better.
To whoever that asked about mascara, I've tried others, but always seem to come back to max factor (although I think you may have said you wanted to change from that!).
Like others, I'm longing for spring now. Have had enough if the cold weather!

Drywhitethanks · 18/01/2017 17:57

Yes Reiss Kitty it's reduced in outlet at the moment Angry .....Littlered I'll see if I can link it PM.

OTTD:
Jacquard short skirt (camels, reds, black) a "Dry Original"
GAp merino round neck sweater
Black opaques
Black knee boots
Chunky necklace

Incredibly it v mild where I live. My work place is boiling and I melted Hmm

Liberty our Seasalt coat is brilliant, I haven't been cold yet this winter even frosty days

shopafrolic · 18/01/2017 19:07

Loving my new winter school run coat. It was -3 this morning!
I was in Milton Keynes this morning for an eye test. Popped into HoF and came away with this RL silk blouse which I actually got for £74 as I got some extra discount. The colour is perfect. I am now absolutely broke until Feb so no more shopping for me.

libertydoddle · 18/01/2017 20:25

Lovely shirt Shop Smile

Dry I agree, that Seasalt coat is amazing. It's handling the southern cold snap very well and properly waterproof.

This Chupi necklace arrived today. I bought the earrings when I was at home over Christmas and haven't been able to stop think about the necklace so when I returned so many items I decided I could justify it. The quality is excellent and the packaging it comes in is beautiful - would definitely recommend it if anyone is looking for nice birthday gifts etc.

January seems to be moving along very slowly. I feel permanently tired atm.

queencerulean · 18/01/2017 22:18

Ooh lib, they have some lovely stuff.

Just been reading the kettlewell blog and there's some colour combo suggestions

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 18/01/2017 22:22

queenC i'm settling in just fine, thanks for asking Smile still feels a little surreal right now, like i'm juts visiting and would be going home next week but i'm sure that feeling will pass soon enough.

luckily my cat has settled really well at the cattery so they are pleased with that as am i. they said they are happy to keep her there as long as we need them too so that's good. we will of course be visiting her, shes my baby girl, can't not visit i miss her as it is so to not even visit would be too much

libertydoddle · 19/01/2017 08:42

Good to hear that onecat is doing well Smile

QueenC your kettlewell blog link isn't working but it's a blog I check regularly so will look later.

OOTD Uniqlo navy midi skirt, brown opaques, tan brogues, Aubin & Wills print silk shirt and green mohair mix jumper (both via a swop session with shop 2 years ago 😀) and my new matching necklace and earrings.

Girl on the Tube is wearing cracked gold Cuban heeled ankle boots. Have major boot Envy

shopafrolic · 19/01/2017 09:51

One glad to hear you're all getting settled
QUeenC the link didn't work for me either
Lib I love how well you're getting on with my old Autumn stuff. Fab. BTW did you post that thing? No worries if not but I haven't received it if you did......
DS is off school today with a nasty cough so that's my facial cancelled. DH is away overnight on business so the school mums are coming round this evening for a bucket load of prosecco. Will wear my ASOS sequin sweat and skinnies. Sunny and cold here - nice.

libertydoddle · 19/01/2017 10:41

Sorry shop have not managed to get to PO this week. Will be Saturday and I'll text you when it's on the way. Hope DS feels better soon.

maradesbois · 19/01/2017 13:26

Hello,

Glad to hear you're feeling settled already One.

Lib love the new necklace, so delicate.

Am starting to feel more settled now at work, took a few days to learn the systems and structure but can feel my confidence returning by the day. Dress code is all over the place though, some in jeans and trainers and others suited and booted. Overall though people have a bit of style and edge about them whatever their look. My ootd is khaki cashmere sweater dress from theory with opaques and tan suede choo biker boots.

Have laid off the spends this month after Christmas extravagances. Gucci bag from bicester doesn't count as dh paid for it Wink. Really need new blue jeans but don't want to spend much, will probably buy another top shop pair to keep me going until I reach my target weight, 12 lbs to go!

maradesbois · 19/01/2017 13:27

Poor ds Shop, hope he's feeling better soon, must be coming up to birthday time for you too

shopafrolic · 19/01/2017 14:44

It is Mara just been panic buying formula one themed party tat from Amazon Grin

littleredlipstick · 19/01/2017 15:31

Oh no shop hope the cough goes away soon and he feels better.

I have just been for another dr appointment as antibiotics and steroids have done nothing, now on an inhaler and been signed off work for 1 week.
Though have just noticed it's been dated 2016! So another trip tomorrow for a new one Hmm

My ootd is Dorothy Perkins dark grey skinnies, white gap t-shirt, grey mark cable jumper and rocket dog biker boots with a padded gilet when I went out. Warm and snuggle. On the upside of this infection I have lost 4lbs this week from not feeling hungry Confused

FedupNagging · 19/01/2017 15:56

You've dropped off my feed Shock - I caught up the other day but got distracted and didn't get a chance to post.

Flowers to those coughing and spluttering -Littlered, sounds nasty and hope minishop will be better for his birthday.

Mara so pleased you've settled in now; starting a new job/venture is always a challenge but you've worked so hard to do this I know you'll make a success of it.

The only fashion news I have is that after washing my Jigsaw batwing sleeve jumper (handwash cycle) it now has several holes Sad. I think I've probably had it too long to return and don't have the receipt. I wore it a lot but this was only it's 3rd wash as it shrunk on wash #1. Grrrr

libertydoddle · 19/01/2017 17:55

fedup I decided about 6 months ago to stop buying Jigsaw knitwear. It's rubbish quality and washes really badly. How annoying for you.

Littlered hope you feel better soon. I'm Shock at pharmacy dispensing an ood inhaler.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 19/01/2017 18:00

Shop i hope Ds is feeling better soon and you too littlered there's a lot of nasty coughs around this winter, i know loads of people who have been laid up with it

How are you doing blingy? the cashmere joggers sound AMAZING tbh, that level of snuggly is right up my street Grin

all i've bought recently is two shirts from good old Primark. cheap and cheerful to go with some skirts ive got that needed something more than just a tee. One of the shirts is a blush colour with swallows on it and the other is ivory with a delicate little repeating floral pattern. The one i wanted, which has been posted upthread, they didn't have in my size so i will check back in a few days to see if it gets restocked.

just waiting on Dp getting back from work, he's got an appraisal coming up soon, so fingers crossed the outcome is good Smile
