ootd is a pair of thick black thermal tights, red and white polka dot swing skirt and white with black peter pan collar tee that has swallows printed on 44it in black

Had a quick look at the GG dresses. Didn't really think much of them to be honest.
SJP looked like she was wearing a duvet
Emma stone's was nice but maybe a bit too low cut
Agree that the pearls with sienna millers didn't seem to go and her hair wasn't great.
Jessica biel's was too low cut at the front and the sticky out skirt made her look really hippy
What has happened to Nicole Kidman her husband looks like he's been on the Botox too
I wasn't sure about the sleeves on Claire Foy's dress but thought it was quite nice close up.
Not sure the style suited reese Witherspoon, I've seen her look better.
Viola Davis looked lovely - the yellow really suited her and that style was good on her.
I quite liked Busy Phillip's dress but maybe the train was a but long.
The style of Michelle Williams dress was nice but wasn't sure about the sleeves or bow round her neck.
Brie Larson looked good in her red dress.

I like quite classic styles and think Jenny Packham always has nice styles for this kind of event, so a lot of these were too fussy for me.

Mara fab outfit for your first day at work - I have my new COS black polo neck on today. A little looser than my Uniqlo one so more forgiving of the few extra lbs I have put on around my middle.
I loved being back at Pilates yesterday - much needed and it felt good to get the gym gear back on after too long a break.
Freezing here today - yes Mara those snow boots that Sleep recommended will definitely come in handy.
DS is very hopeful of some sledging this weekend :)
Not style related but may be useful to some - we have just ordered him an Amazon Fire tablet as his birthday gift - it is very clever - you can set parental controls and have a screen that only I can access - you can control purchases and it is guaranteed for 2 years with a year of books, apps and downloads for free. Seems like it will be good and also means I will get some space back on my iPhone :)

I love my amazon fire have a book about creating an easy wardrobe on the go ATM.

Trying to keep my phone as a phone and everything else on the fire.

My outfit is opaque black tights,dune suede loafers burgundy tartan tube skirt from sainsbury and burgundy fine knit jumper. Needed my black Ben de lissi for Debenhams coat this morning with my big scarf from joules though it leaves fluff everywhere!!

The parcel is in my hands!! Yay :) I'm so relieved... now just hope it's perfect and I haven't got to go through the rigmarole of a return.

My OOTD is boring - printed pencil skirt and grey cashmere v-neck from Uniqlo. I really hope Uniqlo do some lovely things this season, dresses etc.

shop we got DD one of those tablets for Xmas and she loves it. Much better than her using ours all the time. We've got DS one too but waiting till he understands not to keep touching it all the time before giving it to him

I need to get back into my exercise routine as well. So easy to break the routine, yet so hard to get it going again....

I have opened it now... (lunch break) and can confirm they've sent the right item in the right size and colour! Such a relief! I will wait to try it on at home though, because otherwise colleagues will get nosey and I don't really want them to realise that I've spent that much on a coat

Oh and can't really do a live unwrapping, as it's in a boring Flannels dust bag, no glossy Burberry packaging. But will do photos!

Blair at long last you have your trench, fingers crossed it's perfect.

Dry I'm much happier with Mara's mantra fewer and quality, R&B do great bags and footwear and, when compared to high end designer prices they are actually well priced. My Charming ballet flats and loafers have been going for years and still look great.

I popped into boodles to get a couple of things cleaned, they have some really lovely things in there. I saw some rain dance earrings that I'd never before which I really want!!! Haha!

I like Uniqlo camisoles Karcheer, they are fitted and stretchy but also slightly silky. Very plain and you can get nude colour.
