blair is this the one you buy?

maradesbois · 10/01/2017 18:31

Have no idea what they intended by rustic but I took it as a link to earthy colours. I love my khaki but in more of an urban way.

Blair am on tenterhooks for you about the trench, do update!

Karcheer glad that you are back to black. Nice blazer.

So first day went pretty well I think. The people seem nice and think I'll learn a lot. Fashion-wise i felt very comfortable, smart enough but not corporate. Love the new bag so much, the red is the perfect shade and the internal compartments are really well spaced so that stuff doesn't get lost.

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2017 19:29

It's a lovely Gucci Mara

Lara loved your Chloe blouse very much too.

Blair phew! So pleased it arrived!

Karcheer I have Paige skinnies which I love, but I don't think they are Hoxton

Karcheer · 10/01/2017 19:59

marsha I've ordered them, so will report back when they arrrive.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/01/2017 20:02

Karcheer no it was these ones but the one you linked looks lovely and possibly less underwear-y!

Thanks everyone for comments on trench - I delayed opening it when I got home in case it wasn't right as I knew I'd be devastated. Hmm But it is right, exactly what I hoped for! So happy Grin just need the weather to warm up now so I can live in it until then I may be sleeping with it tucked up beside me.

Blingy hope all went well and you're being well looked after in hospital. Brew

Mara so glad it went ok, sounds ideal. :)

shopafrolic · 10/01/2017 20:11

Yay Blair good stuff Smile
Karcheer I used to have Hoxton real straights I think. But it was a few years back. Love the brand though.

libertydoddle · 10/01/2017 20:24

Karcheer I have Paige Hoxton skinnies. Very happy with them. You may find you need to size down in them though for the best fit.

Good to hear your first day went well mara.

Karcheer · 10/01/2017 20:58

lib I'm not really sure what size I am, I'm a little bigger than I was Blush

blingy hope all has gone well. If you're missing hospital ASOS can help #hospitalchic

shopafrolic · 10/01/2017 21:50

Just an update on our lovely Blingy
She is out of surgery. The op has gone well and she is conscious and awaiting more morphine. She's v grateful for everyone's love and support. No doubt the bling will be back on in the morning (if it ever came off for the op) Grin

Stokey · 10/01/2017 22:03

Glad to hear Blingy is in recovery. Hope it all went well.

I've got some Paige Hoxtons Karcheer. They did go at the knees after a couple of years but I wore them loads, and still wear them as a kind of hybrid skinny boyfriend in the summer.

Drywhitethanks · 10/01/2017 23:05

Mara so glad your first day went well. Great outfit. And you are great at keeping me in check.
Kitty I agree , last year's R and B Chelsea boots fantastic and get loads of wear, also my nude quilty ballet flats still look great after 4 years!!!!! --bit stretched and baggy, may need replacing, excellent CPW)
Blair I love that A and O black jumper. I do the same look with Uniqlo black merino crew and Me and Em layering top.

so glad to hear blingy is doing okay. here's to a good and quick recovery!

so happy htat the coat is all you hoped for blair you'll get so much wear out of it. I need a new trench/mac, my red one finally gave up the ghost so i'm on the hunt for one now

LinusLovesBretons · 11/01/2017 00:35

So relieved to hear Blingy is doing well!

libertydoddle · 11/01/2017 09:07

Morning all and big wave to Blingy!!

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/01/2017 09:11

Good to hear blingy is doing ok. Flowers

So pleased the trench is perfect blair.

Glad the first day went ok mara. That bag does sound perfect. I hate it when things get lost in the depths of your bag and you have to rummage round for it.

I might have a look at Paige jeans as I could do with some new ones and the gap ones I had last year never seem to be in stock online in my size. I was reading the thread about whether 'designer' jeans were worth paying more for and the overall consensus seemed to be that it was, so might give it a go.

shopafrolic · 11/01/2017 09:56

Everyone I really do believe designer is worth the ££. I have some GAP jeans but they never feel as comfortable and never hold their shape as well as my Paige ones.

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/01/2017 10:19

shop good to know. Given how much time I spend in jeans it seems daft not to invest in a decent pair.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/01/2017 11:17

Morning!

Blingy hope you've had a good night's rest, good to hear it all went well.

Everyone I definitely agree on designer jeans. Selfridges denim bar is a really good place to try loads (do some research first on a few styles you might like), then you can come home and try to find them reduced online. I don't wear jeans much so one £200 pair of skinnies lasts me years. (The most I've ever spent)

shopafrolic · 11/01/2017 13:54

I've just finished the ironing. God I am so bored of my mum wardrobe. Skinnies, cashmere sweater, uniqlo thermal, Pistols. REPEAT ad infinitum.

So if anyone can be bothered who knows me - can you find an outfit on Pin that would look good on me as daytime mum? No skirts or dresses please......

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/01/2017 14:23

Shop I'm bored too (tights, shoe boots, pencil skirt, jumper) - I'm putting it at least partly down to the season. When it gets warmer there'll be less need to wear jumpers, and more opportunities for cool jackets, shirts, ankle-baring jeans and footwear etc. Will have a look on pin for you though :)

Stokey · 11/01/2017 14:29

Would trying a different trouser shape help Shop? I think you said you'd bought some wide trousers and weren't really wearing them, but would think they'd really suit you with a tighter jumper and trainers rather than Pistols? Something like this or this? I also think you'd really suit cropped flares as you've got such lovely long legs and jumpsuits.

I made it to & Other Stories today and picked up this striped jumper which is very me, silver mini skirt which i may not wear til the next festive season, and ordered the faux leather pleated midi on line as they've sold out in store.

I was in and out in half an hour and didn't get distracted by any other shopping, which made me feel very organised.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 11/01/2017 14:56

i am furious. th acupuncture appointment ive had to wait 18 months for, for my next session, has now been put back by FIVE months and i am so annoyed. ive waited do do long and now i have to wait even longer. which means it will have been almost 2 years between sessions and im nto even a 1/4 of the way through the sessions ive been told i can have!! i am definitely going to be complaining because i know there are waits but 2 years is just utterly ridiculous quite frankly and its not good enough

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/01/2017 15:44

one that is really bad. Is this on the NHS? Can you get private sessions in the mean time if you think it would help?

shop, I know the feeling! Working at home so much means I default into the same outfits most days. What do you think about shirts? Maybe something like this or this or something like the nice shirt amber wore to the last MU with black skinnies? Or what about harem pants? Something like this ?? Not sure if these are your style though?? I like the idea of shirts but they just don't seem to suit me.

Drywhitethanks · 11/01/2017 16:03

Shop I think you'd look fab in your wide legged trouser and trainer look.

Everyone one of the many fantastic fashion things this thread has done for me is to sort my jeans out. I'm addicted tp Paige Jimmies, have 3 pairs, cpw is incredible!

OP posts:
Karcheer · 11/01/2017 16:25

I have just sorted myself out a cleaner! I've been meaning to do this for ages, but working 3 days a week means it's now a necessity, I'm so happy!!!!

dry is there somewhere that says what the differences are between the Paiage jean cuts?what does cpw mean?
