My travel plans worked and I am at my meeting venue with an hour to spare. Camden is very quiet this morning. I am the only person in the café!

Mara I absolutely love that bag. Sounds like a very successful Biscester visit.

Shop poor DS. He'll be fine once he gets there. Enjoy your day - have you anything nice planned?

maradesbois · 09/01/2017 10:03

Morning,

Phew, have finally shut the door on house guests friends of dh who proved to be quite stress-invoking. Felt a bit guilty yesterday about spending so much just after Christmas but now I can breathe think I have earned the new Gucci bag Grin

Shop poor little one, I always hated going back after Christmas. He's had a nice long holiday though.

QueenC thanks for sending the colours article. Liked the bit about neutrals.

lib good call on setting off early, the uber app was down this morning think from the volume of people affected by the tube strike

Need to get on, my last day of freedom for a while and so much admin stuff to sort out

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/01/2017 10:20

Morning!

No update yet on coat. I keep refreshing the tracking page!

Mara that bag is gorgeous! The leather looks so nice, I love that really grainy leather. When do you start job - tomorrow?

One hope your week goes smoothly. And does this mean we will see you at the next MU? :)

QueenC we could meet here for some outlet shopping - not as big as Bicester either so could work well.

For Dry, OOTD is Uniqlo cream pussy bow blouse (wanted to loop it round my neck a la Lara but didn't work so I just have it knotted), cream heattech, navy wool J crew pencil skirt, black opaques, R&B shoe boots and pearl studs.

Everyonelovessparkles · 09/01/2017 10:50

Gorgeous bag mara, often they just have hideous colours in the outlet shops so you did well! Was it worth a visit? Glad the galette was a winner! Whereas it's nice hosting, it's also nice when they go and you get the house back to,yourselves. queenc I think you can get the train all the way now from London as previously you had to get a bus from the train station to the shops.

Fingers crossed blair. So close! I've never heard of hackney walk before but that looks good. Like the OOTD.

Glad your travel plans worked out lib. I think I'm just going to work at home this week as the travel looks a nightmare all week.

one after I sold my flat we had to live in my brother's spare room for 5 months whilst our house purchase went through and plan a weddding and I had to live in the same couple of outfits for all that time. I thought it was going to be horrendous but it wasn't as bad as I thought. You just have to pick carefully! Though it was pretty depressing rummaging through a storage unit trying to find summer clothes to take on our honeymoon.

queencerulean · 09/01/2017 10:55

blair your outfit sounds so grown up and ladylike-really love that style but completely overdressed on me. I saw that place on the frugality and it looked good but if I come to London I think I'd rather just do regent st.

My skin has gone to pot recently. It's probably a combination of too much sugar (always make my skin dull and grey), hrt (my face definitely seems 'plumper' and less dry but as a result is more oily!) and new powder (possibly blocking my pores?). I've started using cetaphil and a week of no sugar and 4 days of no make up seems to have made a difference.

Have good days everyone.

queencerulean · 09/01/2017 11:08

golden globe dresses to drool over or laugh at. A surprising amount of yellow.

kittyhello · 09/01/2017 11:35

Mara love love the bag, also loved the other colours too, after dealing with stressy house guests, you deserve it. Good luck with your new job tomorrow.

Blingy all the best for you for tomorrow too, bet you'll be the most slammed up patient the surgeon has seen Grin

Shop how was minishop this morning, any better?

Blair very classy ootd, I'm sure the trench is just moments away

I've only ever been to Bicester once and that was years ago, pre dc, would love another visit. Although it's a bit of a trek from where I am Sad

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/01/2017 11:41

all being well, unless it's a weekend i see Ds, then yes blair i will be able to come to MU's from now on Smile

i'm so worn out already but have to just keep pushing through. it's only a few more days and then i can sleep and sleep as much as i need to to get caught up!

LinusLovesBretons · 09/01/2017 13:59

Good luck today blingy!

I love that bag mara, it is such a lovely red colour. I have been looking for a red bag for ages but I can never find the right red.

blair your outfit sounds great. Fingers crossed that the coat gets delivered today!

Glad you arrived well in time lib. Things like that stress me out as I hate being late for anything.

Will have a look at the GG dresses once I've done the schoolrun.

Stokey · 09/01/2017 13:59

I thought it was just today Everyone ? I've got something I need to return to & Other Stories. The last day for a refund was today but was hoping they would honour it if I went tomorrow as I won't be able to get there, the whole Viccy line is shut & buses are a nightmare. Oh & it's raining so I'm not cycling!

Have you seen the IT Crowd where Moss goes on Countdown Amber? It's hilarious, they have a special Octo-champs club which I'm sure you'll be in Grin.

Good luck with the op Blingy, I'm sure you'll be the most stylish person on the ward.

Gorgeous bag Mara - I've never been to Bicester, think it may be a bit formal for me.

Stokey · 09/01/2017 14:14

Just read the ST article - it made me an Autumn because of the last three questions - silly quiz, I only got one winter!

The HoC consultant she goes to is the same one I used though, b ut don;t think the article would help you know your season. Am sceptical that Alexa Chung wears Ketllewell too.

Everyonelovessparkles · 09/01/2017 14:21

stokey I think southern are striking again this week but that the tube strike is just today, so you might be ok? Hope you manage to get to the shops.

Stokey · 09/01/2017 15:47

Thanks Everyone - luckily I have no dealings with Southern.

Drywhitethanks · 09/01/2017 16:16

Fab bag Mara

Love the outfit Blair I need to PM you wish I could wear heels to work but make up for it on weekends. And your coat better come soon, must be the longest wait on MNV!
Good luck One it will be worth it tone nearer DP.
Blingy will be thinking about you tomorrow xx

Was thinking about my wish list and I think I need to invest in quite a few shoes/boots this season. Still looking for block heeled black ankle boots have my eye on a pair. Think I'll be sensible, avoid wasting money on little bits and go to R and B.

DH is going away for 10days Sad hate it when he goes away over weekends and goes on safari without me

Love the gucci mara

FedupNagging · 09/01/2017 16:39

Has it arrived yet Blair? Am on tenterhooks!

Love the new bag Mara, fab colour. Well deserved I say after your weekend.

Managed a quick look at the GG dresses - some lovely and some not quite as lovely as is usual. Love the trouser suit worn by Evan Rachel Wood and Viola Davis looked stunning in her yellow dress.

One you're on the home stretch now so just keep going for a few more days.

Sympathies to everyone struggling with the tube strike today - extra brownie points Star to Lib though for arriving early.

The weather is awful today and I've just been doing jobs so ootd is not worth a mention. Yours sounds lovely though Blair

LinusLovesBretons · 09/01/2017 17:05

So the Gloden Globes dresses!

Liked:

Viola Davies: stunning yellow
Naomie Harris: she's usually a bit quirkier but I loved this dress
Gillian Anderson: it could have been too bridal but she just looks amazing in that white dress
Mandy Moore: love the style and the blackish/blueish colour on her

Didn't like:

Felicity Jones in Gucci: waay to busy
Sienna Miller: those pearl accessories were just wrong for that dress and she also needed to have better posture for it not to look like she had just thrown on a slashed t-shirt.
Jessica Chastain rarely gets it wrong but this was just a bad dress on a great person

Oh and anyone who can make Thandie Newton look bad deserves to be sacked!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/01/2017 17:10

No update :( It wasn't even out for delivery today.

Everyonelovessparkles · 09/01/2017 17:44

Oh no blair. Fingers crossed it's tomorrow!

Karcheer · 09/01/2017 18:21

mara the bag is lovely. Gucci is my dhs fav bicester store, we've both picked up a few nice things there. I've a couple of Stella blazers they are a great fit for me, I have serious regret for not buying a coat I saw in there the last time we went.

little\Mara the pearly (white) colour ones are on my wish list. Considering whether to get dh to pick some up next time he's in terminal 5 or find something similar cheaper :/

shopafrolic · 09/01/2017 22:16

Evening all.
Blair that is rubbish. Keeping everything crossed.
Blingy all the positive vibes your way for tomorrow
To all who asked DS has had a good day. I had a chat with the teacher after some sage advice from Dry - she spoke to him and he seems much calmer.
Weather looks bonkers for later this week - need thermals and snowboots!

MarshaBrady · 09/01/2017 23:12

Blingy big positive vibes for tomorrow, will be thinking of you Thanks

MarshaBrady · 09/01/2017 23:14

Emma Stone was my favourite, and I thought Reese W was good too, not the best dress but overall she looked good.

Just watched Walkabout for the first time, what a film.

littleredlipstick · 10/01/2017 06:29

blingy all the best for today xx

maradesbois · 10/01/2017 08:33

Morning,

Blingy thinking of you and hope all goes well, am sure you are in excellent hands Flowers

littlered lovely earrings

Blair fx it comes today

Karcheer I love Stella's tailoring too. My new blazer is really nipped in at the waist but will still work with jeans and trainers for casual.

Stokey the colour quiz told me I was summer which is no way true, to be Autumn they wanted you to tick boxes like rustic, am from the countryside but don't identify as rustic!

Shop brrr! Every winter I mentally thank Sleep for those snowboots we both bought a few years ago.

Dry yes to R&B, fewer and quality, don't mess about Grin

Time to get ready for my first day at work, am going for the Marant trousers with black skinny polo neck, black tod's brogues plus new red Gucci bag and black Burberry prorsum wool coat (old) that weighs about 10kgs but keeps me warm.
