Blair speaking from the same perspective as Blingy, the name doesn't matter - recruitment is very impersonal within our organisation.

queencerulean · 08/01/2017 08:28

Morning. blair , I agree, just address sir/madam.
happy that would drive me mad being draughty on one side!

one have these this morning.

queencerulean · 08/01/2017 08:54

for dry

queencerulean · 08/01/2017 08:56

for amber

FedupNagging · 08/01/2017 09:55

Happy I love the colour of your jumper - I'd love it but with 2 sleeves!

Blair good luck with the job application.

I picked up these brogues in the sale yesterday - another impulse buy and even better, when I went to pay, they were £22!! They look great with jeans/skinnies (my ootd today) but think I need to play around with skirts and dresses. Lib how do you style yours?

Everyone happy birthday to minisparkles, am sure he'll love his cake.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/01/2017 10:41

Thanks Fedup Amber Karcheer & QueenC! :)

Coat has been "collected by hermes"!!! Grin Hope this means I will get it tomorrow

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/01/2017 10:44

Everyone happy birthday to your DS!

Fedup I have the monk shoe version of the Clarks brogues (2 buckles instead of laces). They're really not me, but they do look good and are so comfy. I would look quite silly in them with a skirt so can't help there, but I have worn them to work with cigarette trousers.

Longislandicetee · 08/01/2017 10:59

Oooh Blair that's so exciting. Phew!!!!Grin I agree with the Sir/Madam. Believe me I wouldn't care that it isn't addressed to Blingy.

QueenC, oh I love that red jacket. I have errmed and aaarghed over the white version but the blue one is irresistible.

Amber your post reminded me that you asked me ages ago what my new role was - just PMd you. You will understand my excitement.

I was up early and in pain so showered early and lying on sofa. Ds joined me for a long cuddle session. Bliss.

My NAP order:

Chloé trousers linked by Lara a few days ago. I am obsessed with having the perfect trousers and after years of searching found the J crew Campbell ones but couldn't resist giving these a go.

J Brand trousers love the idea of these but not sure if they will suit me.

Aquazzura Christy flats which I love but may not stay as pointy flats don't tend to suit me but couldn't resist.

Nike top which is a hopeful buy considering I have neen crippled for 2 months! Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/01/2017 11:02

Oh dear, just had Hermes text. Coat is out for delivery today - but delivery address is clearly an office address. They should try to redeliver tomorrow right? Wish it was DPD :( I've never had this happen before!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/01/2017 11:07

Sorry for multiple drama llama posts btw!

Blingy hope you like the Chloe trousers, I tried the Campbells and they didn't work for me, I just don't wear trousers now.

Sorry to hear your pain is bad today. You always sound so upbeat and I am in awe - when I was ill all last winter I was a total miserable cow. Same to One really, I hope you're feeling better today Flowers

libertydoddle · 08/01/2017 11:51

fedup Great bargain on the brogues. They are the most comfortable show ever. I usually wear mine with opaques and a short (above knee) skirt. Something like this or this.

So for example I wear them with this dress, navy Uniqlo V neck cardigan buttoned up and navy opaques or with this dress, tan belt, cardigan and navy or brown opaques.

Lovely buys Blingy, very interested in your verdict on the Chloe trousers.

Blair I'd be a wreck if I wasn't sure if a Burberry coat was actually going to get to me or not!! Fingers crossed.

Hope your DS has a great birthday everyone. Well done on the cake. We have DD's birthday party yesterday and my cake efforts extended to a trip to M&S Blush

libertydoddle · 08/01/2017 11:53

Shoes not show - this predictive is driving me crazy...does everyone else obsessively preview and edit everything?? If I don't preview there are ALWAYS typos Angry

Longislandicetee · 08/01/2017 12:41

yippee Blair almost there! Hopefully you will have it tomorrow when they redeliver (my lovely Hermes guy does).

love the Brogue styling Lib even though I am not a fanGrin

Sunday fashion emergency. I only have chemises which definitely aren't appropriate for hospital. Hopefully pj's are okay!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/01/2017 13:26

oh they are super fab QueenC love them!

hope all goes well blingy and i'm sorry you're feeling so crappy today. I hope you are on the up soon lovely Thanks

thansk blair i do appreciate the kind thoughts. I'm still in a lot of pain but it's not as bad as it was on friday at least. I'm used to a lot fo pain but friday was something else, i think it's basically just a build up from allt he work ive been doing that i really shouldnt have been and now i'm paing the price for it. ah well, it will be over soon, soon soon soon

queencerulean · 08/01/2017 13:51

Great news blair. My Hermes guy redelivers so hopefully yours will too.
fedup I like brogues styled in a librarian chic way although they don't suit really me.
blingy I never imagine you as a trouser person. To me you're either Jeans or dress. Love the flats.

As I was browsing earlier, I saw lots of tops/blouse with ties like the me and em one blingy linked. Definitely on my wish list for this year but I'm probably better with a tie in the middle rather than the side. I'd also like some ballet flats with ribbon ties round the ankle.

maradesbois · 08/01/2017 13:52

Hello,

Blingy sorry that it had to come to surgery but hopefully means you will be sorted out once and for all. Lol at hospital nightwear dilemma! Love your sales buys, am still considering some aquazzura flats but not linking until am sure!

On our way to bicester & want to see what I can pick up there before thinking about online shopping.

Blair sounds promising that your trench has been dispatched, am sure it will come good.

Galette update - dh had to order for today as Saturday list was full - a good sign hopefully! We picked up this morning and had breakfast at Dominique Ansel, didn't feel up to the cronut but the pastries we tried were delicious.

MNV Volume 75......the Christmas edition
maradesbois · 08/01/2017 13:54

Fedup great shoes, love a brogue. I wear with short skirts and opaques otherwise trousers. With longer skirts I feel too much like a policewoman walking the beat.

queencerulean · 08/01/2017 14:01

Has anyone read the colour analysis article in ST? It's not hugely enlightening but expect lots of threads on the s&b board! If anyone wants me to email the article to them then pm with your email address.

shopafrolic · 08/01/2017 15:33

I had a read QueenC - as you say not massively enlightening. It did make me smile when she wrote that her dad told her she looked good in black as mine did too. In fact it was the fact that I still felt good in black that made me sure my original colour diagnosis was wrong. The quiz diagnosed me correctly too......

maradesbois · 08/01/2017 16:04

Having a field day at bicester - dh is queuing at Gucci for a handbag - will revert later with link!

littleredlipstick · 08/01/2017 16:16

I love Bicester can't wait to see your purchase!

I want to head up there to look for some accessories wanted to check out Dior to see if they have any those pearl earrings

Longislandicetee · 08/01/2017 16:18

Oh can't wait to see Mara! Well done MrMaraGrin

QueenC can you email me please? So your words "I never imagine you as a trouser person" have made me think....what if I am not and I am just pursuing this trouser relationship that's never going to happen! (Although the J Crew Campbell is pretty much my man!) Also I think there is a me&em dress that is a front tie, I wasn't sure about it but you might like it.

One my consultant said to me recently "After this experience you will always have more empathy with people who suffer from chronic pain" and he's so right. I have always said you were brave but you really are Flowers

My nightie dilemma is resolved. I love the fact that I am in my 40s and my big sister is still looking after me.Grin She got me several things for Christmas including this nightie and this gorgeous sparkly top. The rubbish picture of the Ted Baker top doesn't do justice to it. That and my leather leggings is an exciting thought!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/01/2017 16:53

that's very kind of you to say blingy i have to be honest, i don't often feel brave about it and the honest truth is that i don't remember how it feels not to be in pain anymore. i don't remember how my body felt before the pain started and it's sad but i suppose you never think it will be you and then when it is, it catches you by surprise and you realise that you never thought about it before. this has been my life for 20 years now and short of a miracle, will always be my life. I can still hope for a miracle though can't i Smile

queencerulean · 08/01/2017 17:01

shop did you read our Stars? We need to give up being a control freak-like that's ever gonna happen Grin
one its awful that in day and age that we haven't found a cure/control for chronic pain.
blingy don't let me put you off, it's just that I don't think I've ever seen you mention wearing trousers before. You linked the nightie twice.

Karcheer · 08/01/2017 17:03

queenc can you email it to me? Maybe the quiz will resolve my concerns...

Pain is the absolute worst thing, I wish you both bling/one better.

I don't know where today has gone.

I loved the red iro jacket, although it definitely could've come from Zara don't you think?
I'm so tempted by the black trousers too.
I really want to get out of jeans so much. Especially as I now only have one pair that really fit me and don't have paint splatters on them. Plus, I notice jeans leave a mark on my cream seats in the car which annoy me!
