Lipstick challenge for January

Don't worry, its not a 'thing' - you don't have to post photos on Facebook or get sponsorship for charity. Just something I'm planning to brighten up a dull January

The idea is that you wear a different lipstick / lipgloss every day through January. I'm planning to stick all of mine in a big box and do a 'lucky dip' every morning. It will be a bit of fun (in a slightly pathetic way) and will be interesting to see which lipsticks I get excited about pulling out and which I'm maybe not that fond of anymore

Anyone else fancy it?

I've been googling some of your lipstick suggestions, more to add to the list! Any thoughts on the 2 new Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks launched yesterday?

In other news I'm going to get dressed, wash my hair ( it's been nearly a week eek). Then put some make up on - woo. In honour of this thread something for my lips!

Tom Ford lipsticks are silly expensive but I'm glad I have them in my collection & due to this thread I will make a considered effort to wear them more. However I do have my eye on 'Pussycat'

In all honesty I've only started wearing lipstick in the last 18 months. I use to get picked on in my teens for my lips, anything that highlighted them was not good! ( making up for lost time now!)

My lipstick today started off as Rimmel colour show off in Shocking Pink, which is quite old and the range was discontinued in 2012, then after I had lunch I put on my brand new lippy, Max Factor matte lipstick in Blush. I saw them yesterday when I was skulking round Superdrug buying cheap things, and they were £3 off, so I had to buy it to try it. It's so new, in fact, I can't find any pictures! So I had to take one.

Thanks Sapphire you are my lipstick inspiration, I've just been told I look 28 yet I'm 38 and too look younger I should ditch the dark lips! Yet she thought I was 10 years younger! 😂😂😂

Boots have them on their website. I've had this on for hours and my lips are still pink and don't feel dry at all. It's not as bright as I like my pinks, but it's still lovely.

So, back in the world of the living. Wearing Charlotte Tilbury ' Coachella Coral' paired it with Nars ' Anse Soleil'. Kept the rest of my make up quite glowy & not too ott with eyes.

Thanks to this thread, I feel like I have my lipstick mojo back!

Yes. For a high end lipstick it delivers. She has a flattering collection. The Coachella has worn well. I also like the packaging. Love the lipliner Pillow Talk - worth the price tag.

I resisted for ages as I didn't have a counter near me. Just before Christmas a small stand pop'd up in my local HOF, so I swatched my heart out with the limited collection they had.

I was mooching about an Urban Decay counter today but didn't buy anything... Yet... I've got my eye on some of their lipsticks. Blue, purple, pink and black. Then I looked on their website and there's a bright orange and a green. Oh no!

Today I was wearing Lypsyl Cherry and Almond lip balm, my lips are dry, flaky and peely and I didn't want to aggravate them any further.

Several lipsticks lurking, I went to the cinema yesterday and wore a Boots, probably long discontinued, Moisture Drench called Pink Lemonade. A bit too lilac/goth for my everyday taste but not bad for natural makeup with lipstick look.

If anything, this has made me realise I've been ignoring lipstick for too long. Nearly all the ones I had were freebies from Clinique, advent calendars or beauty boxes. Went out and chose a couple of max factor matte lipsticks, didn't want to spend lots as I want to make sure I'll wear them first, got the Love (red) and Nude, the perfect nude lipstick for me. Got a few compliments when wearing the red one yesterday; it really makes my blue eyes pop. Making a list of other ones I want to try!

Sapphire- have you checked the Urban Decay vice app? You can upload a photo and virtually try the lipsticks out.
My lips need some tlc too. I need to drink more water. Lipsticks keep splitting, not sitting right.

Incidentally I'm wearing Urban Decay ' Naked' cream finish pink.

Delurking to say that I bought a blue lipstick yesterday and I am blaming you lot

It was an NYX one, only £5.50. I didn't want to spend big bucks if I look bloody awful!

Another Chubby Stick, I'm so boring. Fabulous Freesia, more of a a lip balm one.
