Did anyone else get a beauty advent calendar? I got a Selfridges one and am stupidly excited about opening the first door tomorrow! Anyone else?

Liberty one is good today.
Re size, I think the value tends to
be made up in the full size products that come later on, e.g. last year Dr Senagh serum - retails at over £80
etc. Or that's what I'm telling myself!

Strawberryfield12 · 07/12/2016 10:22

Very happy with Liberty today!

CocktailQueen · 07/12/2016 10:55

I love the Sanctuary calendar. Everything has been useful and good sizes. Yay!

hrgmoo · 07/12/2016 14:08

Loving the Sanctuary one too. Everything so far has been used and I'm impressed with the sizes of all the products. Sadly enough I even loved the paper clip, but then I'm the kind of person who could quite easily enjoy an afternoon out in Staples!

Stitchosaurus · 07/12/2016 19:33

I love the primer from Liberty, my face is so flaky at this time of year and this has made a huge difference. The rose salve today is ok - what else do you use it for apart from lips?

Comedyusername · 07/12/2016 19:40

My first foray into the advent calendar world and I'm hooked. I'm hoping for more make up in the m&s one though

OverScentedFanjo · 07/12/2016 19:44

I'd love some make up in the M&S one. A lipgloss or something would be great now.

Strawberryfield12 · 07/12/2016 19:55

stitch I was reading that some people use it even as an eye cream for the smile wrinkles. Personally have only tried as lip balm today.

Whocansay · 07/12/2016 20:06

mowglik thank you! I shall use it on Friday night for my Xmas party.

Yesterday I got Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which I wasn't sure about, tried last night and am now going to buy a full size one. It was amazing!

Today I got a YSL moisturiser, which was also nice.

M&S do it again! Didn't even know they sold this brand.

CointreauVersial · 08/12/2016 08:24

I've heard lots of raves about this Liquid Gold - anyone used it before?

Needastrongone · 08/12/2016 09:00

No, but I am excited to try it I must say. Smile

Comedyusername · 08/12/2016 10:12

But make up wise, only an eye liner so far in the M&S...

SymphonyofShadows · 08/12/2016 10:19

Happy with M&S, I have already tried it. I'm grouting tiles today though so I don't expect any magic to hang around long! No7 was what I presume is a bushy eyeshadow brush but I am not an expert of these things.

mowglik · 08/12/2016 10:39

whocan what was good about the midnight recovery? I've heard it's good but not sure what it does

Happy with today's M&S offering, the liquid gold is a good size as well and will see me through to spring I think! Will use it less frequently than 3 times a week though as im planning to use the peel twice a week too... looking forward to lovely exfoliated skin next year - just need some good face moisturisers in the calendar now Grin

JemimaMuddledUp · 08/12/2016 10:51

Can you use the peel AND the liquid gold? or will my face fall off

Really impressed with the peel, I used it on Saturday and my skin is still really smooth and soft.

Also impressed with the filler, I don't have many wrinkles yet but I have some lines on my forehead and it totally fixed them!

OverScentedFanjo · 08/12/2016 13:47

Since using the peel and the filler my forehead is full of lines. I think it must be dehydration.

Come on M&S give us some good moisturisers now.

Also a bit of makeup wouod be good.

Strongbeatsskinny · 08/12/2016 16:26

I got nail varnish in my M&S one a lovely cranberry looks like you got different to me. Dh put a voucher in mine for the place where I have brows etc done that will come in handy as I'm booked in for a pamper on the 21st.

kerstina · 08/12/2016 16:51

Has anyone else got the you/ latest in beauty one . Mine arrived yesterday (late!) so had 7 days to open . Very pleased so far .

Strawberryfield12 · 08/12/2016 21:24

Liberty today has Malin&Goetz moisturiser. Never heard of them and the bottle was something you would expect to have cleansing milk or body lotion inside, so I was a bit meh initially. Had a look online and there are lots of positive reviews, so ended up being happy about it.

Had a quick peek Blush in tomorrow's box and it looks cool, I will be trying it out as soon as I get a free moment.

BrillianaHarvey · 08/12/2016 22:17

I have so many freebie M and G moisturisers. Unit cost must be incredibly low for them to give it away so readily. Also the packaging makes it really hard to get the product out.

Comedyusername · 08/12/2016 22:54

Had a rubbish evening with my boys' bedtime so just sneaked a peek at tomorrow's M&S box. Cheered me up! The baby's still awake though... Xmas Angry

VanillaSugarAndChristmasSpice · 08/12/2016 23:09

I sneaked a peak at tomorrow's Liberty one too Blush. What is it? I'm going to have to Google it!

kally195 · 09/12/2016 06:54

I'm a little bit disappointed with today's M&S offering, but only because it's not something I use. Too much faff taking it off for work. This calendar has been an adventure in unfamiliar profits so far though, so I'll give this a go!

It is meant to be brilliant stuff. It's also seems to be a limited edition colour that you can't get anymore.

SymphonyofShadows · 09/12/2016 07:36

I'm quite happy with it, would have preferred a lipstick though. No7 is a makeup item today
