I'm off to Valencia with DH and some friends for a couple of days, it's the last MotoGP of the year...

What a day yesterday. I'm angry at the result but also in denial I think. Just doesn't seem feasible that anyone would want that clown (dangerous clown at that) as their President.. What an embarrassment.

Dryboth of those dresses are equally gorgeous, difficult choice, the green is quite understated and very much like the green of Lara's Chloe blouse, the slate grey dress is more "fun" buy both and do a mid party outfit change

Hi everyone! Lara great to see you :)

Had a fantastic time in NYC, weather was perfect, did everything we wanted to and even squeezed in a bit of shopping. We landed at 7am on Wednesday morning so missed out on the post-election stuff luckily, though we walked past Trump Tower on Tuesday only to find it cordoned off by police and huge trucks.

We went to Nordstrom Rack and had a good browse, didn't buy anything but I'd love to live near one, way better than TK Maxx. There were some deals in general shops on Election Day and I got the gold star Tippi and a few bits in Uniqlo.

Speaking of Tippis kitty your new Pin board made me smile! How many do you have now? I have 4! Love them so much.

I have no idea what I'm going to wear tomorrow, esp as the weather looks disastrous, but it'll get warm inside! But wanted to say Lib I don't think riding boots over skinnies is dated, maybe with other knee high boots yes, but I think that's pretty classic now (especially if you have a bit of "classic" in you).

Dry I prefer the green dress because it's more partyish, the other one looks more for a day event like a wedding. Also it's green so would look fab with a gold clutch for Christmas parties in future. But I suppose equally the slate one could be worn for future weddings!

Those of you who have faux fur coats - are they warm? I'm thinking there is no point me buying a new winter coat as I don't wear anything formal these days but could rock some faux fur. Or one of those parkas that Shop linked

Can't speak for faux fur coats Stokey but whilst my jacket looks cosy, it's most definitely not! I should imagine there will be faux fur coats that do keep you warm, it will depend on the fabric and lining.

I finally have an M&S advent calendar headed my way - am not entirely sure I'll be able to only open one door a day though or even wait until Dec 1st !

Yes I succumbed to another one went for a pink one this time was toying with turtle neck but couldn't do it, I think this pink will work with light grey, trousers/jeans/skirts my wardrobe needs brightening up. Think I have about 6/7 now

shop good to know about Parka London discounts - none in JL but I did buy the White Stuff Astonish metallic jumper. Fits nicely but undecided as to whether to keep it - luxe the fabric is not!

M&S order turned up - except for the beauty calendar which is awaiting dispatch, grrr. Most of it will be going back, but I do like the tuxedo trousers.

Spent today with a stylish Italian dude, such good taste without being ott or a peacock. Great attention to detail like just the right gap between jeans and shoes and perfectly cut jacket made by his local tailor plus blue overcoat with bright orange lining to make it less formal. I normally have no interest in men's fashion but we had a good chat about the importance of fabrics, will convey to dh who is pretty good too despite the odd abberation! Have barely seen dh these past few weeks, looking forward to cracking open the Friday night champagne with him later.

Am in denial about the weather (it's the south, it can't be that cold or wet, can it?) although I might bring a brolly. My main dilemma is footwear. I may have to mismatch with handbag (horrors!)

I'll do my usual and decide in the morning what I'll wear. No heels though - too far to walk.

I have a couple of work-induced purchases to report (gosh I was on a strict rotation there due to lack!) a new cobalt blue Proenza Schouler blouse and same designer red suede ankle boots. Would love to wear both with some Paige dark indigo skinnies but red and cobalt? I think not sadly!

I'm not sure which to go for. Will see if I can find links

This is the Proenza Schouler cobalt blouse, the styling is beyond awful here but much nicer in rl I think.

And PS boots

(also they were both not that much £!). The boots are brighter.

Maybe I'll just lego colour it up

Lib I agree that the right knee high still looks ace, esp if you have can do classic stuff. It just depends on the shape of the heel, toe and all that malarky

Vetements is interesting, so expensive and off the chart in terms of style but it seems to work (not sure I could do those jeans, but lovely to hear that you think I could!). I also just avoid The Row, as even though the stuff is beautiful the prices out of this world.
