Nice pics Adora love the cashmere colours.
Evening all.
Coats, boots and jeans for AW are hopefully sorted now as the lovely Sleep suggested I try a coat from Comptoir. On it's way to me so will link if a keeper. Still loving my Jagger boots from Office and have ordered some indigo skinnies from GAP as I am not convinced it is worth buying designer in an indigo wash as they all seem to fade. I also have my eye on a Parka from Parka of London but again, won't link until I've decided - it would have to be a Christmas present so will head into the Dressing Room tomorrow and try it.
DF is doing well at home which is a relief. Still v unsteady on his feet but happier in his own environment and life here is calmer as a result as I'm not constricted by hospital visiting hours. DH had another one of his colitis attacks last night - thought I was going to end up back in A&E with him! Eased off eventually after loads of meds. He had slipped a bit with his diet and is very stressed with work so I guess that hasn't helped.
Loving all the links and AW loveliness. Have a great evening Voguettes.

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2016 21:51

Shop great to hear your DF is home and feeling a bit more settled. Hope DH gets back on track health wise soon. X

Happy I'll have a look at M and S boots.

Had a bit of time to try OTK boots today I know!!!Shock

Tried :

AdoraBell · 18/10/2016 22:00

I also like artwork Fedup one reason I can't buy the expensive belt is I also want 2 Lalique cats. These are things I have wanted for many years, like 20 plus, but couldn't buy until now.

Amber hope today has been better for you.

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2016 22:00

these

Longislandicetee · 18/10/2016 22:02

Lovely things Adora!

Poor MrShop. You know how Sleep says I have patterns of the times I fall over? I think MrShop is the same. Tell him, I am thinking of him. Glad your Df doing better.

Which otk Dry?!!!

Question for everyone. I was in M&S at the weekend and they had a mannequin styled in a lovely chunky sweater, indigo skinnies and burgundy boots. The sweater was all size 12 above, I have enough skinnies so didn't look for them and the boots were no where to be found in the store or on line. Would they really have something in the store and not on line?Confused

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:02

Thanks guys, not really - have just put my laptop away

Never mind, two more days then a week off - have so much holiday accrued as I keep working through it and charging the time. Must be firm this time. Have horrible sinus infection and need a break!

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:04

I've got those in suede dry - really useful boots.

blingy I saw nice burgundy boots somewhere the other day, now can't remember!

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:05

shop glad DF is doing better at home. Hope DH sees some improvement pronto. Take it easy lovely x

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2016 22:05

And these

Also a very cheap pair in Next which were bad......raced out muttering "buy cheap, buy twice"

Verdict?
Well of course the R and B were nicer, tighter on my whole leg, the Clarks were baggy on my ankle albeit a nice boot.

Not sure they're really me......perhaps it was my legs, odd skirt outfit, age etc but I felt a bit Principal boy in them. Perhaps need to try again when wearing skinnies.

However.....

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:06

I find OTKs hard with anything but a short tight skirt (which can have other connotations!). Much better over skinnies.

Longislandicetee · 18/10/2016 22:07

Oh no Amber! SadFlowersYou need to stop! Sinus infections are the worse and unless you stop, it won't go away. You need the sea water nasal spray if you haven't got it. It's the only thing that works!!

Dry, I can totally see you looking fab in those boots!! What were they like?

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2016 22:15

the R and B were the best Blingy but need to go back with skinnies really. Not sure I'd get Enough wear out of them to justify the price.

these would be a lot more useful, I got them in tan last yea, wore them loads and think I'd get a lot more wear out of these then OTKs.........but I do like OTKs. Hmm.....

My shortened grey coat is great btw. Pleased I tried it.

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2016 22:18

And...they're bloody impossible to get off.....the lovely young male SA offered to pull them off, but I really couldn't let him do that, was worried I'd fall off the bench and look like an idiot!

Longislandicetee · 18/10/2016 22:20

GrinWould you wear either boots to work? Is this strict weekend wear?

I have just seen these boots which are like the M&S ones but in suede. I want normal leather else they would be perfect!

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:30

I've worn mine loads.

Yeah, it sucks blingy. Particularly enjoying feeling like I've been punched in the face. No chance of time off this week, sadly. Going to power through. I don't have any saline spray so will pick some up tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:31

Before I got the SWs I had a Dune knock off which were excellent and about £150, btw.

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2016 22:32

these - just as good really!

Longislandicetee · 18/10/2016 22:40

Amber, you need sea water spray every few hours, total godsend. I also used this stuff and sinus pain relief, specifically to reduce pressure. After 2 bouts of it this year, I wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Ds has finally, finally fallen asleep. I have been lying by his bed for ages. That's my evening gone then.Hmm

Merriboo · 19/10/2016 07:39

Blingy was it these ?

Everyonelovessparkles · 19/10/2016 09:16

Those dune boots do look very similar to the R&B ones and less than half the price. Dry if you're not sure how much you would wear them then maybe it's not worth spending loads on a pair if you do really want some? You could always get some then try them on at home with different outfits and think about occasions when you would wear them to decide whether it's those or the Chelsea boots? If I'm not sure then I always buy it to try at home as then I think you know - as long as you can take them back and get a refund!

amber sorry to hear you've had another rubbish day and aren't feeling well. Hope today is better, at least you've got a week off to look forward to.

Nice boots blingy and meriboo. I have a 20% code for m&s starting tomorrow until the 24th, which is OCT16A27 if anyone has seen anything.

Glad your DF is doing a bit better shop and that your DH feels better soon too.

Does anyone happy have experience of Zara sizing? I've seen a skirt but the sizing is S,M,L etc when I've looked on the sizing guide the M comes up as a 10. Are their sizes usually TTS or a bit on the small or generous side? The L is sold out and looks like it might be too big as bigger than a 12. V annoying. Why can't they just have one sizing system!

Stokey · 19/10/2016 09:37

Very much trial & error Everyone - for a skirt I'd probably go small (am 8-10).

Glad DF is doing OK Shop but sorry to hear about DH, hopefully getting his diet back on track will work.

I've also had filthy cold for last 10 days or so, I'm going to get the spray Blingy. My osteopath recommended going dairy free to clear congestion so am giving it a go.

I'm also thinking about OTK boots, am going shopping this morning so am planning on trying a few.

There's a metallic pleated skirt I keep seeing in M&S that looks good Everyone. I was planning on trying today but like Blingy said, chance of finding anything in small size in store is slim.

HappyGirlNow · 19/10/2016 15:02

everyone Grin I'd try the M. I'm trying to lose a bit of weight at the mo but when I'm a comfortable 12 on bottom then an M is mostly fine (though I do think things fitted).

Also their sizing can be inconsistent so for that reason too it's worth a punt.

Everyonelovessparkles · 19/10/2016 15:40

Thanks fedup and happy, I might take a chance and see.

Just seen that ted baker have 20% off with TEDSTREAT very enjoying as I ordered a black jacket the other week as didn't think they'd do another promo and I've worn it now so can't even send it back.

fedup did you see the metallic skirt in m&s? I've seen it online but wondered what it looked like IRL. That 20% code for m&s is to share if anyone has their eye on anything.

Everyonelovessparkles · 19/10/2016 15:41

Meant annoying about the ted baker code. I hate autocorrect sometimes.

Drywhitethanks · 19/10/2016 17:47

Sensible advice all, this is why I love MNV. Hadn't thought of Dune Amber, I get on very well with their stuff, always fits me well. Will order and try at home.
Blingy not sure whether I'd wear them to work.
