The black floral jaques vert one is lovely! Just stuck some shapewear under and you'll be rocking and rolling! The red/orange one from asos is also a lovey shape- but not sure of the colour, if it works for you then go for it!

ginger I saw a few amazing dresses on oasis I haven't shopped there for years. If the orange dress doesn't work I know where I'm going to head.

Will post a pic tomorrow of the Orange dress on.

very wedding-y in y opinion. it was my firrst choice but sadly didnt fit.

Mrsmaudwatts · 10/08/2016 23:22

Racheyg · 11/08/2016 06:19

I don't think the orange one does anything for you - the straps are bunched up at the back (think you need a slightly longer torso for it).

Loulou0 · 11/08/2016 21:08

Lindybop do a great selection of 50s style dresses. Would look great with tattoos and they are reasonably priced too

I think both the original outfit and the orange one have too much flesh on show. You're not 'too fat' at all - you have a lovely figure - but sometimes less is more.

Whistles sale

You seem to like lace and prom style something like this maybe? Would need to see irl, as the fabric could be horrible.

Are you a 12 by any chance? Lovely

HairySubject · 11/08/2016 21:17

The second dress is nicer but I think it swamps you a bit. I am little too and find it hard to find a dress the right length/shape.

I live the lilac separates from boohoo and the pastel one linked by gingerbread.

burnishedsilver · 11/08/2016 21:18

Tbh when I initially saw the first dress I was looking at a small picture on my phone and I thought that the middle section was a belt. Its doesnt work as a two piece and the top doesn't fit your boobs properly. The orange one is better but again there's something not quite right with the fit.

Racheyg · 11/08/2016 21:22

Tbh I hate the outfit. The length was all wrong. I'm only 5ft 4 maybe midi dresses aren't for me?!

remus good guess I am a 12.

lou thanks for the lindybop link.

You guys are amazing it's like having your own personal shopper Smile

i think the orange one shows what a lovely figure u av but is too loose at the back and not right at the front. i dont like seams arpund the middle theyre weird unless theres a belt too.

Rachcakes · 11/08/2016 21:25

Look at jumpsuits. Honestly. I've seen a few wedding guests totally rock them.
I have two and they are super flattering as you get the top-to-toe colour, nipped in at the waist.
With your figure (which is lovely) I'd go for a V neckline, to show a hint of boob. Not trashy, just elegant.

I was just about to link to that Oasis one - it's gorgeous!

This is pretty too, and super-cheap!

Rachcakes · 11/08/2016 21:38

I think midi is a tricky length for anyone. It looks great in magazines and on high fashion types but for us mere mortals it's a bit....middle aged?

nice with gold or rose gold waist belt and accessories
