This thread continues from our perfumistas thread which is now full. It is a lovely and friendly thread in which we discuss all things perfume-y, and ask for tips and share opinions and SOTDs ( Scent of The Day). Do drop in- we're not cliquey and we all smell nice.

SOTD was Miu Miu - about to run out of this, but have a new bottle lined up in wait.

Hi all - I've never managed to find a scent I really like but think I might have found it... Has anybody here tried 'Oud'ish' by Zarkoperfume?? Just curious! (Other than that, I like the Clarins one but they are more 'fresh out of the shower' smell - that I like!)

OneNight, this is actually the only time I haven't enjoyed Buddhawod Box. Last time, I sat in a car and drove six hours with DMiL, and it stayed close and quite fresh in heat and humidity. Must have been the skin, or something. Otherwise, from that selection, I think captured by Candlelight is my favourite. (I crowd funded).

Love the username shirking but don't know either the perfume or the house at all. Come back and tell us more.............

MrsS, the name does indeed not trip off the tongue. Sadly have become rather too familiar with granny's knickers to fancy a closer encounter on this nice thread!

SOTD is 4160 Tuesdays Maxed Out. it's very strong so just one or two squirts is more than enough. it's almost but not quite sour to start with, i suspect thats the cannabis note as ive always found cannabis has a sour smell. i like it a lot, it's hedonistic almost, long late nights, watching the sun come up with drink in hand.

Yes!! It is woody and quite oud-ish but not v strong. It smells quite green to me too and a bit musky (does that make sense)? Anyway, I loves it!!

SOTD was Marc Jacobs Honey. So utterly beautiful...I felt like I spent today wandering down a gorgeously honeysuckled and sun speckled country lane, abound with butterflies and bumblebees.

SOTD was Rive Gauche. An oldie, but a goodie.

SOTD is another 4160 Tuesdays, Sexiest Scent on the Planet (IMHO) i get so much musky weight in this, it's almost spicy but not quite. Its creamy, musky goodness on my skin

SOTD is Mitsouko. Wrong for summer, but I have horrible period pain and needed a hug of a scent as I lie groaning on the couch.

Sotd was Vero Profumo's Mito

I've wanted this for ages, my decant finally came through (with a blind buy, mona di orio's Bohea Boheme)

For me, it is a really amazing sparkling sherbet lemon perfume. The opening is just beautiful. It mellows quickly but for me remains a fundamental lemon scent. There is supposed to be white flowers (I get the faintest sense of headiness) and cypress ( don't get this at all), and oakmoss (gives it a bit of depth I think). I think it might be the warm weather, will definitely try again when it is less hot.

So I like it but at the moment would definitely not ever be buying a full bottle. Slightly disappointed given how highly this is reviewed as one if the best of greens. Hmm.

Otherwise, Corrigan , try ebay for Chanel decants . I got mine on a Facebook group where we split bottles. I'm not sure if there is a Chanel one on the go at the moment there usually is If you pm I'll send you the details. It's a private group. Be patient, am on hols! Internet is a bit of a luxury!!

The Bohea Boheme is much more interesting than the Mito btw. Will come back to it shortly!

SOTD was NONE!!I slept in this morning and ran out of the door without choosing one. I only realized when I parked outside work and instinctively reached into my bag for the scent. All I had was an Impulse Body Spray!

So I sprayed that but felt horrible all day...I think my perfume addiction is pretty full-on!

ive also had no SOTD, i have been asleep most of the day through sheer exhaustion. just tryign to decide what to put on now to go to bed with, i like to smell nice even when im in bed!

Hello Perfume Lovers

I was wondering if ibxould pick your brains? I have a bottle Dior Pure Poison that I have opened and used two squirts of, but I'm really not keen on it at all! I bought it blind, on the basis of it being a jasmine scent but I just don't like it!

Do you think it would sell on Ebay even though I've opened the box and if so should I list it as used?

I'm a bit of a novice perfumey-type so any advice would be gratefully received.

There is this scent that i am smelling a lot at the moment on other woman - randomly when shopping etc. I thought I had it, I thought it was Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia. It's not disimilar. Also quite like Carolina herera 212. Any takers for what it might be? Definitely a summer scent and definitely of the moment but I quite like it!

could it be the ck eternity summer flanker for this year maybe? i havent smelt it myself knowingly but they are usually very of the moment the summer flankers for eternity

And speaking of the latest 4160 crowd-sourced collection, has anyone received the book yet? And would anyone like to swap 9ml of the Apple and Pears for something else (spayed twice)? Reminds me a bit of Molton Brown's Apuldre.

Sure it will sell if you price carefully - take a look at what similar bottles are going for.'

Hello another lurker who is getting more obsessed by perfume and fear you guys are helping/ not helping!
I love how perfume can just pick you up and also as a way to start conversations with work colleagues when we are all in uniform and otherwise identical.
I'm wearing m&s Island Sunset to remind me of sunny holidays: cheap and cheerful!

Judydreamsofhorses I used to wear Mitsuko in the 80s as my summer scent. It was very coconutty on me.

Winter was Ysatis.
Then I switched to Arpege all year round.
Do you remember the mixed miniature sets you could buy from Boots?
Lulu leaked in my bag and soaked my Latin books. Mr Higham was not impressed as it stank for weeks.
