BeJayKayven · 15/06/2016 19:23

The silk ones? GENEROUS 🙂

BeJayKayven · 15/06/2016 19:23

Posted too soon, size down definitely.

BeJayKayven · 15/06/2016 19:25

There's a lovely wee faux leather jacket in the Jaeger Outlet at the moment if anyone's interested.
I don't work for them btw.

AuntieMaggie · 15/06/2016 19:52

Thanks BeJay

Tanaqui · 16/06/2016 07:06

I looked for those shift dresses in our asda Bejay but no luck :(

The next ones look okay but prefer the £22 price- what was wrong with the armholes Jack- too tight, or bra flashing? Mind you I never buy in next so no idea on size, and have just bought a boden shift (last year's, £10 in hall sale) and one from apricot which is nice but 100% artificial will sweat buckets on a hot day, and how many shift summer dresses can you need?

TheVeryThing · 16/06/2016 10:29

If anyone is on the look out for a broderie type dress I can recommend the one from uniqlo. I got in black and it's lovely, really flattering fit and a bargain at the moment. They have it in navy and white as well.

SayAGreatBigThankyou · 16/06/2016 10:43

will try that one very - had to return the Sainsbury's one linked earlier as it was really short in the body.

On the look out for jersey trousers, long/tall length that I can wear on plane, slightly cooler days. H&M budget, Baukjen wishlist.

KanyesVest · 16/06/2016 11:27

Picked up a fantastic workhorse of a dress this morning. Its navy, mid calf, sleeveless, jersey shift with a slight cowl neck. It's the kind of dress that'll go with heels, flats or runners, cardi or blazer and I don't think it's possible to wrinkle it. Best of all, it was €18 (£12 ish I think?). I can't seem to find it online though to link so I'm just gloating. Brand is Christa Probst.

I got this lovely skirt at &otherstories (their other pleated ones look like your granny would wear and the black and navy plain ones no thanks):-

www.stories.com/gb/Ready-to-wear/Skirts/Shinjuku_Pleated_Mid_Skirt/590576-117331876.1

that was after finding a lovely pleated Whistles leopard (Carrie?) skirt on Ebay.

taybert · 16/06/2016 14:59

I need some work shoes. Black heeled ones with covered up toes. But every time I look on any shoe websites for a nice plain black court I get sucked in to looking at nice shoes. Which makes it difficult to look for the ones I need which is a pain.

Also, I've got a couple of the uniqlo jersey blazers which I love but as previously mentioned I am in danger of wearing them all the time. They're perfect over dresses and with skirts and trousers for work but I'm finding that I'm chucking the on with jeans on days off too. I don't really like to merge work and casual wear. What is everyone else wearing for casual jackets/cover ups? I'm trying to stay away from cardigans as I feel like I can start to look mumsy pretty quickly (that's not a comment on cardigans, just when I'm wearing them!)

TheVeryThing · 16/06/2016 15:16

I've been wearing the uniqlo jersey jacket for work and casual too, not sure what else to suggest taybert.
I stopped buying cardigans a year or two ago, for similar reasons. I'm finding my denim jacket handy too, but not with jeans.
Every now and then I have a big debate with myself over the whole work vs non-work wear and when to mix (I even started a thread about it once Blush).
I think I've conceded that it's ok to crossover one or two items, as long as most things are separate.

taybert · 16/06/2016 15:32

Yeah, Denim jacket is nice but not double denim! I was about to explain why I like to keep things separate but I realised as I was typing that I sound like a right twat so perhaps that's a sign. I was thinking of maybe buying something similar but not the same for work then using the uniqlo for casual only then I realised that was a completely pointless waste! I'll keep my eyes open. Everything else is separate so I doubt I look the same all the time.

lurkingfromhome · 16/06/2016 16:29

Very, would you mind posting a link to that Uniqlo dress, please?

J&D is usually here shouting at everybody if they don't do links but she must have missed this one Grin

TheVeryThing · 16/06/2016 17:07

Happy to oblige lurking, link here
In my defense, I did actually link to it a couple of days ago Smile.
I don't know why they've stuck a belt on the black one, it looks all wrong. The navy pic probably gives a better idea of what it's like.

JohnCheese · 16/06/2016 17:12

That is a nice dress. Shame they don't give the length. On the model with the horrible belt it looks knee length and on the navy dress model it looks more like mid-thigh.

What is it like on you TheVeryT?

lurkingfromhome · 16/06/2016 17:22

Thanks, very Grin. Lovely. I might have to buy myself one ...

TheVeryThing · 16/06/2016 17:23

I'm 5'4'' and it comes to the bottom of my knee iykwim.
