SayA how's the sizing on the jeans?

AmberNectarine · 14/06/2016 23:15

I have a red tulle skirt I wear with a black crop top and heels at Xmas.

Ordered this which I've been stalking.

Going to a destination wedding in August. Really dont't need another dress, but can't seem to help looking...

AmberNectarine · 14/06/2016 23:16

Who are you seeing DL? I'm going to Coldplay on Sunday night

CointreauVersial · 14/06/2016 23:29

Like that top, Amber.

I love the idea of a tulle skirt, but need to be sylph-like of waist to pull off the cropped top aspect. I'm very much not.

Kanye - Blush I assumed you were joking about ordering the swimsuit.

Polly - those shoes are gorgeous. And Comfort Fit too! My cup runneth over.

Bear - Hmm I think my Pippa doll had a dress like that....let us know what it's like IRL.

deutschland83 · 14/06/2016 23:39

Stone Roses at the Etihad.

Old enough to have been there first time round Grin

AmberNectarine · 15/06/2016 00:04

I think I got the waist to compensate for my big old haunches cointreau.

That is a much more credible option DL, hope you have fun while Chris Martin makes my ears bleed with his earnestness.

Nearlyadoctor · 15/06/2016 06:51

Just ordered this from M&S, really fancied one since reading these threads but didn't want to spend a fortune in the first instance in case I don't utilise it enough.

Thoughts- I ordered the midnight blue.

Floisme · 15/06/2016 06:55

I'd bloody love a tulle skirt. I'd get grey and wear it with plimsolls. It's ok, I know I'd look a tit but there's a still little girl in me who wants to be a ballerina. I've more chance of being a ballerina than looking good in tulle.

Floisme · 15/06/2016 07:02

That looks really good Nearly - let us know how it looks for real.
Hmm maybe that way I could afford a leather jacket and an Emma Peel coat....

Nearlyadoctor · 15/06/2016 07:04

Will do - hope it's not too fake and nasty looking.
Although the beauty of M&S is that it can easily be returned

Sonotkylie · 15/06/2016 09:30

Nearly: I have an M and S black fake leather bomber jacket which looks great, fits well and is often admired. I think it is obviously not leather but not plastic - y. I tried the brown one like yours and it looked a bit fake, but I think that was the colour. Fit and style was brilliant though (I nearly kept it) so I am confident your blue one will be a winner.

PixieMiss · 15/06/2016 09:44

Cool this is the link. They also do a non-petite version too. I am on 5ft so I have it in the petite version.

Asos dress

puppydogmummy · 15/06/2016 09:57

Am looking without joy so far for "lovely" summer dress that doesn't make me look like mama cass (although I am a size 20) I don't think such a thing exists! And prob the summer won't last much longer here in NI!!!!

deutschland83 · 15/06/2016 10:06

Amber, time to consciously uncouple from the mung bean musings.

I'm hoping to be sweaty and pogo.

I remember nothing of the Glasgow green gig. It was a good day Grin

CointreauVersial · 15/06/2016 12:54

Nearly - that jacket looks excellent and gets good reviews too. I think pleather has definitely improved in the last few years, and no longer screams fake/couldn't afford leather.

One of my fave purchases from last year was a pleather biker jacket from that emporium of unnecessary items, Lidl. I'm pretty sure I had change from a tenner. Well, you did say "nothing fancy", J&D....

Nearlyadoctor · 15/06/2016 13:05

Collecting from M&S on Friday, so will feed back then.

nearly love the idea of the jacket in navy/midnight. I really want leather though

JackandDiane · 15/06/2016 16:43

just tried on the next linen one £22 in white, black
If you have heavier thighs Wink it might suit. FOr me it was a bit shapekess, but OMG the armholes fitted.t.co/jSFUO7mtkA
The woman showed me another one ( white) at £45 was LOVELY but think might be too hattie jaques www.next.co.uk/g702018s2#442424

i have wedding at end of July
Doing the boden ruched dress in purple

OP posts:
CointreauVersial · 15/06/2016 16:54

Keepon - the Gap one would be too short for me, and being linen would crease like a bugger. It makes the model look quite broad, for some reason!

The Boden one is pretty; quite plain, but easy to accessorise. I prefer it.

AmberNectarine · 15/06/2016 16:58

DH is making me go, I don't like all that bed wetting shite myself.

I have the off shoulder green ruched Boden dress and really like it.

BeJayKayven · 15/06/2016 17:36

I have a few of the Next £22 dresses and the thighs
Lovely on. Posted elsewhere but worth mentioning, the Asda version of linen and cotton shifts this year are great.

Chatting about clothes we probably don't need..
SayAGreatBigThankyou · 15/06/2016 17:42

So so so jealous of Stone Roses at Etihad (less so of Coldplay Grin

tay GAP sizing all over the place. I am a 12 with a podgy hideous stomach and wear a 27 or 28 (these need hoiking).

The Next dresses look ideal for holiday (pool and beach with under 5s), but are always OOS in my size. Will keep checking.

Oh, and my most complimented, fave item is a blue pleather jacket from Sainsbos!
