I hope I have remembered the chosen title correctly - I have used Crem's title (think it was Crem's) as the old thread is full.

Herbs - will be fab to have lots of time en famille in the summer but eek re new job on horizon.

Inspired by CV and Rose I have put 10 things on Ebay. They range from size 10 to 16. WTF.

Crem hugs. This too will pass. You always handle DD brilliantly and she's lucky to have you, even if she doesn't realise it. Flowers Wine Chocolate Do something nice for yourself today, lovely crem.

I am taking DM to the synagogue today. Yes, my nasty, heathen Reform one. She looks down on it and insists on wearing a hat, even though she'll be the only one. I have had to warn her that there might even be women taking part in the service.... I can already feel the headache building. Hmm

Lalsy · 13/06/2016 08:36

Crem, lovely, oh I am sorry to hear this. She does feel safe and know she is loved with and by you. Take care.

herbaceous · 13/06/2016 08:41

Right. Off to teach another new course. < stress >

News from the parental home. Experimental sleeping down stairs did not go well. Dad got up a million times to go to the loo, and each time went upstairs, rather than the downstairs loo. Everyone was thus awake all night too. Back to the drawing board. And, indeed, the upstairs bedroom.

motherinferior · 13/06/2016 09:30

I feel I should say that DD1 came home from her DoE trip in one piece and put all her washing straight in the machine and did it. Then DP did the rest so we are off, literally, to a clean start.

NUFC69 · 13/06/2016 09:37

Crem, oh dear. Can only second and third what everyone else has said. It's very obvious to me that you're a great mum and DD is lucky to have you.

Herbs, good luck with the teaching. Sorry to hear about DPs' night time woes and hope something can be sorted. Under the circs it might be better if they do sleep upstairs. The exercise is good for DM in any case, although the logistics might not be.

Rose, good luck at the synagogue with DM. I was having a discussion with someone recently about hat wearing and church; it's not the norm any more in most Anglican churches, of course. (I do hate to see men wearing baseball caps in church - not unheard of).

I have been to the GP and have been referred to my lovely surgeon to have next knee replaced. Off to have it x-rayed this afternoon. I had been told that they don't refer any more to a specific consultant only a hospital, but no problem at all (not that it would have been an issue, but I have a lot of confidence in the doctor who did the other one).

Cremo · 13/06/2016 13:51

That's great news NU- will the op be soon or is there a wait?

herbs, thinking of your slavery today.Poor dps. They will have to get used to the bed being downstairs, unless ddad will sleep on his own upstairs ?Or would that be the Living End? Flowers

Thanks for support over dd. Sorry for being so criptic, but I cant write this stuff as it expends too much energy. I am in hiding work today. dd is stomping about the house and seeing friends god help em.
she is flying back tonight and I am going to decompress in a hot bath quite possibly with cv's gin and tonic sponge cake.
we are booked to go to see dd just after her 21st in July. I might contract a contagious disease just before that. [gah]

CointreauVersial · 13/06/2016 16:30

MrsS - hmmm....well, I'm not sure when he last went to the docs, but I'll raise it with him. Having said that, he's just been promoted at work, so is dealing with the new and unfamiliar experience of managing a department - poor chap's probably just cream crackered. He's like a proper oldster - nodding off in the middle of the news, waking himself up wih a big old snort.

hattymattie · 13/06/2016 16:53

Crem Wine and lovely hot bath for tonight. I am very relieved we have not got to head shaving yet. Mine are too vain. She'll look back at herself later in life and realise what a twat she's been.

herbaceous · 13/06/2016 17:14

Is there an arrrrrrrangement for Thursday? Him indoors is wanting to know timings.

Re parental bed, we only suggested that they move downstairs as the ambulance man said it would be v hard to extract them from upstairs, should something go wrong. On balance, though, I think they're better off upstairs. Dad has to be in the same bed as mum, or he wanders.

motherinferior · 13/06/2016 17:45

Cremo darling please don't stress about the hair. I think this is probably triggering stuff for me too as hair was incredibly important to my parents and we were supposed to leave it long and luscious and there was the most inspeakable bust-up when my sister scissored hers short - my mum said it was a form of 'mutilation'; but it's just a shaved head. She probably has a very nice head. I've known two stunning women with shaved heads. I know it is also triggering stuff for your DDad but that isn't why she has done it.

I don't know of course what has been going on this weekend but all the sexuality and gender stuff...well, that sounds pretty normal to me. Really it does.

Cremo · 13/06/2016 18:32

Thanks MI, it's not really the hair or lack thereof, but another drama unrelated to previous dramas.
Fwiw, she is fine now. I am fine now. It is an ongoing health issue that is terribly terribly worrying. And obviously I "can't possibly even begin to know how difficult and life-ruining" her condition is.
Maybe not but I'm not stupid.

MontserratCaballe · 13/06/2016 19:25

Just popping on to hug Crem, Herbs, Bd and anyone else who needs or wants. Pre holiday stress levels are very high but I hope to be back properly v soon..... Preferably from a Spanish bar with a glass in my hand.

Love to you all xx

You certainly are not, Crem. Intelligence and warmth blast through every post. Sorry things are so worrying.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/06/2016 20:42

Evening Crepesters
For all of us lucky women going to see the fabulous Richard Hawley THIS THURSDAY THE 16TH JUNE - BTM, Herbs, Addle - it is at the Royal Festival Hall starting at 7.30pm.
I have the tickets - you lot need to bring yourselves and £30.
I can definitely get there in time for a pre concert gin and a natter - anyone else fancy that? Don't forget I'll have lovely dh in tow. he's v excited indeed at being allowed to come on a Crepey outing.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/06/2016 20:45

Crem, have been thinking of you with your challenging dd. What can you do except try to stay calm in the face of her provocation? She's just trying to find out who she is but in a way that makes it difficult for those closest to her... Deep breaths lovely. X

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/06/2016 20:54

Have pmed the Richard Hawley massive...

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/06/2016 21:22

I am always up for an early drink on Thursday. I will hobble along - where are you meeting?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/06/2016 21:35

Excellent news Mrs S!
I think the bar on Level 5 of the RFH is the one with the amazing views of the river from a big balcony / terrace? Do you know what I'm talking about? That would be nice - or do you have any suggestions? I think we probably need to meet in the RFH rather than elsewhere...

bigTillyMint · 13/06/2016 21:52

GGG, sorry, didn't see this (was out!) - yes to meeting at the bar on Level 5 - what time will you be getting there?

addle · 13/06/2016 22:01

Looking forward to it, GGG. Thanks so much for arranging.

Crem - nothing useful to add but to second Lalsy's wise words

Herbs - glad you're getting a crepey outing

BD - how are you?

In S&B news I bought an M&S summer beauty box on special offer - looks good or have I been completely duped?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/06/2016 22:06

What time suits all of us? I can be there from c 6pm...

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/06/2016 22:26

I have day off, and apart from another hospital appointment in the morning and a potential haircut, am free.

herbaceous · 13/06/2016 22:54

What time does Le Hawley take to the stage? And is food planned in at any point?

CointreauVersial · 13/06/2016 23:08

Addle - I have also ordered the M&S Beauty Box. After the success of the Advent Calendar I have high hopes. It meant I had to spend £40 on stuff I probably didn't need, but hey ho, I can always return it.

MrsS - what was the conclusion on your toe? Is it plastered or is that just you? Wink

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/06/2016 23:53

Toe was dislocated and pulled back into place, and possibly fractured too. They weren't very sure about the fracture so am sending me to the fracture clinic for them to have a look at my toe and the x ray.

Not plastered at all tonight, have hardly had anything to drink since Friday when I got very drunk very quickly in the pub with my team and was very loud.
