I hope I have remembered the chosen title correctly - I have used Crem's title (think it was Crem's) as the old thread is full.

Herbs - will be fab to have lots of time en famille in the summer but eek re new job on horizon.

Inspired by CV and Rose I have put 10 things on Ebay. They range from size 10 to 16. WTF.

dd is deffo below average height and bony and I'd LOVE it, thanks MI!!

bigTillyMint · 10/06/2016 17:48

I'm having a medicinal gin after a shouting match with DD who has been off school post ASs for 2 weeks and should be calm and chilledHmm

And there is footy on tonight Sad!

bigTillyMint · 10/06/2016 17:50

So is anyone else up for a drink tomorrow evening (see footy above)?

wordassociationfootball · 10/06/2016 18:02

I might be stabbing a bouncy castle BTM Grin

Collymollypuff · 10/06/2016 18:25

I haven't properly caught up - at all - but have skimmed, and am mostly filled with Schadenfreude about MrsS's colleague who was mean to her and is now demoted. Also very glad to hear about the biopsy. Sorry for everyone struggling with parental and work problems. And waking up in the early hours to worry.

I don't think I can make drinks tomorrow, BTM, tempting though it is. I hope all Crepeys have a fab weekend. I did manage to climb Cleeve Hill last weekend and do my steep 8-mile walk, so I am triumphant. My little not so little legs are proud of themselves.

bigTillyMint · 10/06/2016 18:45

Well done Molly! Star

Blackduck · 10/06/2016 19:50

I'd love to am home alone with ds whilst dp jets off to Stockholm...

hattymattie · 10/06/2016 20:17

Have caught up a little bit - great news on biopsy Mrs S.

BTM - that is dreadful about your DS - what is the matter with people?

WAF - thank you for your kind words, hope you're feeling better and good luck for tomorrow.

Have had a day with first world problems. My car was perfectly parked in the street and somebody knocked the wing mirror off - on the pavement side Confused. My new prescription sun glasses have some sort of problem in the left lens - as if there is a small shadow - will have to go back. There was a third small but annoying problem which I have actually forgotten after wine. The excitement of my life.

School interesting today - the teacher told the whole class (8 year olds) that they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and there were only four she could trust to sit alone and get on with their work. Cue everybody looking around to identify the four. There was a lot more but they are frankly irrepressible.

DH came home early, so we are slumped on the sopha searching for a good film.

bigTillyMint · 10/06/2016 20:29

HattyEnvy how come you're not supporting your country of residence, watching wall-to-wall footy like we will be here?Envy

BD, it could be worse - if your DS liked footy!
Sending you virtual hugs,Wine, Chocolate, Cake

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/06/2016 20:50

Bit pissed. With hindsight, appraisal chat in pub ntgoodidea.

CointreauVersial · 10/06/2016 20:53

My day off continued in relaxed mode - I even managed a small snooze on the steamer chair in the garden - I feel restored! I could do this every day, and am very Envy of NU, who CAN!

Small moment of panic earlier when I couldn't find the bag of DD1's presents, stashed "in a safe place" ahead of her 15th birthday on Monday. I found it eventually, after a lot of flapping, blaming DH for having moved stuff about, and turning several cupboards upside down. At least it wasn't as bad as the time I hid my wallet while we went on holiday, and ended up having to cancel all my bank cards, because I couldn't find it for three months. Blush

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/06/2016 21:19

Now have hiccups but home and have ordered pizza.

Two people in pub thought I was younger than my minion. Mwahahahahahah. He was less impressed though.

herbaceous · 10/06/2016 21:43

Buggering hell.

Geared up for lovely evening at home with chums, fizz in the garden, jerk pork ribs by DP.

Get call from sis and various carers to say care at home isn't adequate to look after mum in her return from hospital. So she's staying in for another night. And the 24hr care we were promised turns out to be Monday to Friday only.

So I schlep up the m11 to look after dad, who has been on the wine and is in full on pity mode.

Eg

What have I done wrong? Didn't I look after my wife well enough?

Why have I got my pyjamas on? ( x3)

Me: your carer out them on earlier (x3)

Me: you could go to bed if you want. Though it might be a bit early. What time do you normally go?

Him: I don't know, but no doubt it will be all wrong.

Me: pours wine.

Him: how do find the volume on this telly (x3)

It is ear-bleeding loud. But I say it's a bit muffled.

hattymattie · 10/06/2016 22:18

BTM - the whole family hates football - lucky for meSmile

motherinferior · 10/06/2016 22:35

Oh herbs, darling.

Cremo · 10/06/2016 23:47

Herbs.Sad
Tomorrow is another day......Flowers

herbaceous · 11/06/2016 02:48

Tomorrow is mainly the middle of the night. Can't sleep, as listening out for dad getting up and being confused. When sis was here he started to ring 999 when he couldn't find Mum.

bigTillyMint · 11/06/2016 06:59

Oh Herbs {{{{}}}} It sounds a lot like DM before she moved to the home. Hope you got a bit of sleep.

Why are the carers only there during the week? DM's worked 7 days a week. If they are self-funding, then surely they can have whatever care they need?Confused

Blackduck · 11/06/2016 07:52

Herbs so sorry :(. It's pants isn't it.

Agree with BTM - why isn't it 7 days a week?

Lalsy · 11/06/2016 08:08

Oh Herbs Sad. Hope you got some sleep.

wordassociationfootball · 11/06/2016 08:13

Oh shit Herbs, that is utter pants BrewFlowers

herbaceous · 11/06/2016 08:18

I did go to sleep about four. That's when dad got up, every half hour, and came into my room looking for mum.

No idea why it isn't 7 days a week. They don't stop needing care just because it's the weekend. Ffs. Maybe we need to change agency.

I hate the feeling this all gives me. Panic, tingly head, tearfulness, resentment, panic again...

herbaceous · 11/06/2016 08:20

To be clear, the carers do come in. On and off. On the weekends, but don't do 24 hours.

hattymattie · 11/06/2016 08:41

Herbs - just came on to say, sorry about the massive Xpost last night. It is dreadful to find yourself in a set of circumstances which you cannot control. Especially with people you love. I hope something can be sorted with the carers.Flowers and hugs.

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/06/2016 09:14

Oh FFS Herbs, that is utterly pants. Sending you love, wine and gin.
