Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

I popped into Cos this morning and saw this lovely dress for lib

Was a lovely light fabric IRL

Stokey · 26/04/2016 10:49

Good luck with the cycling QueenC. I've just ordered a new bike too, I had a second hand mountain bike that was a monster. But should be getting this beauty in the next couple of weeks. Both the Dds learned how to cycle last year, so we're planning some family bike rides.

Have a lovely day with Sleep, Shop. I like the look of the Cambridge satchel bags but find I don't use mine that often as it has no inside zips or pockets which I find a bit annoying. I wish they'd add £20 on to the price and put something like that in.

Bored of this cold, what has happened to summer?

LinusLovesBretons · 26/04/2016 10:50

And this one for shop

Will try and catch up later when I'm home

shopafrolic · 26/04/2016 11:58

Love that Linus

libertydoddle · 26/04/2016 13:19

I saw that dress Linus and I do like the shape and the fabric but it's a little short for me. My knees only go on display on holiday #least favourite body part Smile

Have fun today shop :) hope Sleep can help your DH.

Mara that is what I was thinking (re: being fairly smart), so that is very helpful, thank you! I've cut down on the jumpers, and have my new pashmina as well for evenings. I have a couple of cotton dresses I can add in. I don't think I can bring myself to take shorts, it's just not me... As a last resort I can look in a few shops tomorrow when I go to try my New Look bodycon dress Grin

Love the trio, glad you've found The One :)

I went to Space NK at lunch and had nars tinted moisturiser and hourglass ambient powder put on. Feel very glowy, which is nice in this chilly weather!

AmberNectarine · 26/04/2016 14:37

I've been considering the hourglass powder Blair, is it any good?

QueenC · 26/04/2016 14:57

Hail stones. It's nearly May ffs! I hope it warms up for the MU as I didn't want to keep in a coat and boots and gloves.

Nice bike stokey. Here's mine. Pick it up at the weekend. I'm excited apart from thought of cycling home from the shop!

Drywhitethanks · 26/04/2016 16:53

Massive hail stones bouncing off my head at lunchtime today Hmm.... Boots back on Angry

Think I may take my camel coat to dry cleaners in case I need it for MU Shock

Mara lovely lovely bag.

LinusLovesBretons · 26/04/2016 19:02

Rubbish weather here as well. Soo cold and an icy wind making it even worse.

I was really impressed with what I saw at Cos but I was just too cold to try anything on.

viva well done on your achievement!

mara great bag. I don't use my burgundy one as much as I should but I think it's because of the colour as the bag itself is very versatile.

I forgot who linked those Baukjen trousers for me, but thanks! I love them but I am really trying to buy something other than chinos, which are my safe option and I want to try something different.

Gorgeous bracelet blingy. I wear my two leather Hermès bracelets a lot as they fit with anything.

shop I hope your DH is feeling better and that the consultation with sleep went well.

I can't wait for the MU to see all of you again and any MNVoguettes I have never met. Not long now!

shopafrolic · 26/04/2016 21:14

Linus when do you arrive?
Who is booking a restaurant by the way?

libertydoddle · 26/04/2016 21:37

Yes MU is shaping up to be a good one!

Linus Cos is the best high street shop IMO. Quality is good, lots of natural fabrics and affordable.

shopafrolic · 26/04/2016 21:42

Any ideas where I can find a necklace like this please?

MN Vogue Vol. 69
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/04/2016 21:59

shop voila! (This one is really nice)

Really hope I can make the MU! I don't have much experience of jet lag but hopefully I'll feel ok...

Amber I don't normally wear bronzer so I can't really say, but I liked it and it seemed to last all afternoon. Sorry I'm a total makeup novice!

LinusLovesBretons · 27/04/2016 07:52

Morning!

I am landing on the Friday evening shop, but quite late.

Still very cold here but atm there's a blue sky so that's ok. Can't wait to do some shopping in London but I'll have to time it around the MU.

So I can't drink too much in case I go shopping afterwards. Wink

Dreamqueen · 27/04/2016 08:20

I'm at airport on way home. I feel exhausted. Found a very nice relaxation area with chaise longes to nap on. Now afraid that I might miss flight.
Got jury service for the next 2 weeks so might give my new blazer an outing then if the weather improves.
Did a little more shopping this morning at duty free. It was exciting, I don't often travel in Europe and an used to rather pathetic gatwick shops.

FedupNagging · 27/04/2016 08:21

Morning all, had a few days to catch up on.

Viva that's a fantastic achievement, congratulations. Hope you have booked your massage and pedicure.

Blair you must be getting so excited. When its hot and humid I can't bear to wear anything more than loose fitting cotton especially not jeans.

Blingy fab purchases. Is your wardrobe big enough for this new obsession?!

Mara so pleased you've found your bag - I love that style and the colour is gorgeous.

Yay, Lib you've got your trainers. Great find Dragons

I had a massive shopping/trying on session at the weekend but only made 3 purchases - think I was trying too hard to wear styles in fashion (wide leg crops) that don't suit me (midi dresses/skirts) plus felt the pressure for the MU outfit!

I picked up this Cos top

Gap top - think you have this in the blue Queen its even cheaper in store than online

and this maxi dress for the beach.

Phew, sorry for the long post!

shopafrolic · 27/04/2016 09:31

Never knew they were called that Blair learn a new thing everyday
I love the simplicity of her one - will have a browse through the Shopstyle links. I just want a plain circle and a plain bar to thread through it.

KittyHello · 27/04/2016 13:07

Love the Trio Mara very you.

Great maxi dress Fedup

Dream hope you're safe and sound

Queen and Stokey I have bike envy, I'm seriously in need of a bike for cycling weekend activities with the dc, I need a hybrid one.

Have ordered this belt, hope it fits as I've just noticed it's an XS

Have also ordered sometime else but don't want to link here as they are quite distinctive and could out me Shock

Looking forward to the MU and meeting those of you I haven't met before, sounds like it's going to be well attended. Hope the weather plays ball.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/04/2016 14:25

Love the colour of that Cos top Fedup.

Hope you find one shop :)

Lovely belt Kitty, will go with loads.

Last minute packing panic question: if it's too hot and humid to wear jeans, what cotton things would you wear on your bottom half when not wearing a dress and wanting to look put together? I have these smart shorts and this grey maxi skirt. I can go to the shops tomorrow, but I doubt I'll be able to find any loose cotton trousers short enough for me. Maybe "smart" joggers-style ones? Confused

KittyHello · 27/04/2016 14:50

Blair I've bought these BR chinos I haven't worn them yet as I'm waiting for more footwear options and sun. I'm planning on wearing them with my Gigis and also some heeled sandals. I'm quite short so may not wear them rolled up like this. They are nice and light and a good alternative to jeans, I hope. Failing that, if I wanted to look smart then I'd roll out my trusty Boden Bistro crop trousers which can be dressed up or down. Biden currently have 25% off until Thursday and they deliver quite quickly, when are you going?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/04/2016 15:10

Thanks Kitty, I go tomorrow (evening flight). I think my only options are the high street shops in my town. Might look out for chinos, but I have issues with trousers fitting usually.

The actual weather forecast looks cooler now (24 degrees on Friday) but it will still be humid. Not sure how I've ended up in this panic Confused but loose fitting clothes are not me, so I don't own any! Maybe I'll just buy some more cotton dresses in H&M...

FedupNagging · 27/04/2016 16:05

Blair can you pop into Next and get a pair of their linen trousers? and go for a look like this?

I have about 3 pairs of these from previous seasons and they are so cool and comfortable to wear when it's hot.

I am about to do a Boden trouser order - along with Next they do the best petite fit for me - I don't know why I keep trying to go anywhere else!

Drywhitethanks · 27/04/2016 16:26

I used to live in that linen trouser look Fedup until I got baggy bum paranoia... May revive it, would look great with SS
