Hahaha Bazza, spot on!

I've nominated this for classics. Although part of me wonders if this is all a clever publicity stunt?

I just sent the link to dh and asked for them for my birthday Grin
He asked if I've had a lobotomy and said they're horrendous.
I've convinced him I'm serious and he's said he'll buy them for my birthday gift as long as I don't wear them when I'm with him Grin crying here

Betrayedbutsurvived · 04/03/2016 11:51

Oh god, was holding it in well but cocolepew just finished me. Crying here.

"Actually the socks are quite nice.
I think Clarks should lower the price drastically and market 'em as socks with removable shoes
...with emphasis on the removable!"
Exactly what I was thinking. If they reduce them to a fiver I'll buy a pair.

"How about the Desert Fingers?"
I'd get them in brown...Chocolate Fingers

KatharinaRosalie · 04/03/2016 12:05

The explanation is quite obvious - the designer was fired, but forced to work the notice period.
Nissan and Fiat have previously made the same mistake.

I'm sure all those designers were extremely surprised when their revenge designs actually went into production.

The Desert Fingers would be great for the criminal class. They'd implicate the designer in their crimes.

Lynnm63 · 04/03/2016 12:25

I've just come back to this thread. I didn't realise there was a whole range of them. I showed the first photo to my husband he actually said WTF!

MrsArthurShappey · 04/03/2016 12:31

'Desert Fingers for the Sticky Fingered'?

SwivelOnYourRedChair · 04/03/2016 12:31

I actually like the Desert Kiltie Blush Grin

Vedamakesthebesttoast · 04/03/2016 12:32

I had to search for an image of someone wearing these bits this is the only thing I could find. Fair play to the stylist... They've tried REALLY fucking hard but still couldn't make them actually look good enough for a real live person to look even remotely decent in!

Vedamakesthebesttoast · 04/03/2016 12:33

Even the dress they've been paired them up with has tried to hang itself!

CheesyNachos · 04/03/2016 12:39

Dear God.

Bananasandchocolatecustard · 04/03/2016 12:44

This thread is the funniest I have ever read😍. I love the idea of the "designers" marching to the job centre wearing their "lovely" creations.

megletthesecond · 04/03/2016 12:45

Maybe the designer was also designing footwear for the new Mad Max film and got carried away.

Firstlawofholes · 04/03/2016 12:45

Like this they actually look quite comfy Blush

I'll get my coat.

My EYES!

holly989blue · 04/03/2016 12:51

No! Way! They actually have them in a 4. I'm so lucky!!! :-D

bilbodog · 04/03/2016 12:59

Such a brilliant thread!!!! OMG is all I can say".........

Puppymouse · 04/03/2016 13:00

Really didn't need to be laughing hysterically with the lurgy I'm now choking. I need to meet the person who designed them and give their head a wobble.

handslikecowstits · 04/03/2016 13:04

Clicked on the link thinking that I'd dislike them as they weren't to my taste but like so much on S&B I think, each to their own.

BUT...oh good god!

BRAVEHEART!!!

handslikecowstits · 04/03/2016 13:05

I'd think not I think.

I literally can't stop looking at them. I was actually thinking about them at work this morning and trying to visualise my colleagues in them.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 04/03/2016 13:15

I think they'd be great for my FIL who broke his leg and has it set in one of those metal cage devices. He does complain about his leg being cold.

And that's it……I can't think of anyone else who'd want those aberrations.

vitaminC · 04/03/2016 13:23

My MIL's German partner would probably wear those. In fact he already has some very similar that he wears even when it's raining, snowing etc! Grin
