I know it might seem like we've nothing left to say but I'm sure we have :)

I have to tell you: Seville a l'Aube is on the TK Maxx website for half price - lots of other L'Artisan perfumes but that one is very special and I wore nothing else all summer!

SOTD: Cuir de Russie. Like a fuzzy hug with vague undertones of marauding Cossacks from the 19th century.

Can someone talk to me about Chanel Les Exculsifs? I tried both Coromandel and Cuir de Russie at the airport recently and then I got confused and couldn't remember which wrist was which. I think I liked them both. I'd be interested to know if you have a favourite and where you can get it for less than £200 Shock.
I'm generally into quite woody and oriental smells. SOTD is Serge Lutens Femininite du Bois which I love. Also a big fan of Chanel Coco in the winter.

Judydreamsofhorses · 20/11/2015 09:58

SOTD is Clinique Wrappings. Love this at this time of year. Yesterday was Chanel 19.

LovelyFriend · 20/11/2015 10:07

SOTD - Fragonard Reve Indien - one of the heavier scents I wear.

I'm getting to the end of the bottle now, but I've had it for quite a few years. If you are ever in Grasse, France, the Fragonard factory is well worth a visit.

LovelyFriend · 20/11/2015 10:10

Ville Feminite Du Bois is my all time fav scent ever! I have the Serge Lutens one and also some precious mls of the Shiseido version left.

have a very happy day wearing it.

MissBattleaxe · 20/11/2015 10:10

How have I missed this? and you're on page five already.

Still chooisng my SOTD but Vanilla D'Iris by Ormonde Jayne is looking like a contender.

shins · 20/11/2015 10:46

Idiot TKMaxx smashed my Tea for Two but they've refunded and I've reordered.

Cresset: Your package came today -thank you so much! I quite like the Nicolai. It reminds me of RL Safari, which I didn't originally like, but have grown to appreciate. Thanks for all the other stuff too! I will send you some things after the weekend.

ToysDontWorkNoMore · 20/11/2015 10:57

I like Tea for Two, but it's not quite sweet or rounded enough for me.

kittykarate · 20/11/2015 11:34

I tried the Annick Goutal L'lle du The. It smells like the bottles of sweet green tea you get from vending machines in Japan. Possibly a bit of blossom too, but maybe that's just because I got Japan jammed in my head.

kittykarate · 20/11/2015 11:37

I love Cuir de Russie, I got a decant of it as I couldn't justify the full bottle initially.. I haven't found anywhere that does any deals on them in the UK, Chanel has the pricing really locked down. I haven't found a convincing dupe for it either.

cressetmama · 20/11/2015 12:13

Toys: That was quick; I only posted it yesterday afternoon. Interesting that you compare the Nicolai to Safari as I used to like that, quite briefly, and then I didn't see it anymore. The rest was a bit random TBH, but I saw you liking Bendelirious and thought you might enjoy some more ELdO samples.

My claim to fame (or notoriety?) is that I am the only person ever to admit to liking Secretions Magnifiques! I don't often choose it, but wore it for 12 days on a boat once; it seemed appropriate!

shins · 20/11/2015 12:30

I love Cuir de Russie. It's really expensive though so I had to stop dh from nicking it ( he has an unerring knack of favouring the most expensive perfumes I have!)

MissBattleaxe · 20/11/2015 18:52

cressetmama- you are indeed unique if you like Secretions Magnifique. It smells of spunk and blood and made me gag.

maybemyrtle · 20/11/2015 19:09

I love Chanel's Cuir de Russie - like others I have a decant that I eke out. How much is a FB, and can you buy it in the UK - I think it used to be Paris only? Haven't tried Coromondel.

SOTD is Tea for Two, yet again. Not bored of it yet though! Grin

cressetmama · 20/11/2015 20:32

On a boat, it smells great on me. Its goes all soft and goo-ey, Like a slightly smelly baby, not at all horrid, but like I said, I may be the only person who doesn't hate it. Not something I'd choose for everyday real life: I'd like to be more glam than spunk and shit.

cressetmama · 20/11/2015 20:38

Liking Secretions Magnifiques is a secret.... except that I have told you all. So what do you like, outside them envelope of good taste?

cressetmama · 20/11/2015 20:38

Typos!!

MissBattleaxe · 20/11/2015 21:43

So what do you like, outside them envelope of good taste?

Papillon Salome. Superb and filthy.

MissBattleaxe · 20/11/2015 21:43

actually its not outside the envelope of good taste, its fantastic. It does really smell of sex though.

ToysDontWorkNoMore · 20/11/2015 22:22

I wish I could like really skanky stuff, but I hate Musc Koublai Khan (straight up poo) and the dirty knicker one from ELDO (I forget the name now).. My tastes are really not that unconventional.

flightywoman · 20/11/2015 22:26

Missbattleaxe - sex and something else a bit more base, I thought! I kinda love it though!

upaladderagain · 20/11/2015 22:47

A couple of years ago discovered Sisley's Eau de Soir. It smells like the scent left on an old mink coat by an ancient, but once very saucy, old duchess. Has to be used sparingly but I love it.

upaladderagain · 20/11/2015 22:50

Oh God, just realised how mainstream mine is.

MissBattleaxe · 20/11/2015 22:54

Eau du soir is a classic chypre. Good choice.

LovelyFriend · 21/11/2015 13:39

SOTD 4160 Tuesday's Lion Cupboard. Tobacco!
