I know it might seem like we've nothing left to say but I'm sure we have :)

I have to tell you: Seville a l'Aube is on the TK Maxx website for half price - lots of other L'Artisan perfumes but that one is very special and I wore nothing else all summer!

SOTD: Cuir de Russie. Like a fuzzy hug with vague undertones of marauding Cossacks from the 19th century.

And maybe a post-coital roll-up, shedding bits of tobacco in the sheets.

The cat really likes Salome. He is climbing over me to lick more. DH said "Please can you either wash that stuff off, or change your knickers, whichever will get rid of the smell fastest." Grin

Always - you can get SJP's Lovely from allbeauty. Online, yes, but I've never had anything duff or fake from them, and their service is excellent.

On the other Friedemodin scents - I love Jardin Mystique, Vertine is interesting - overwhelmingly mint and basil when it goes on (I felt like pesto) and the fourth one, Rosee de Soir (?) is quite run of the mill. I also get pencil sharpenings from Feu Follet.

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/02/2016 14:49

And yes to what FF said - try Narciso Rodriguez for Her, if you don't want to trust online.

YetAnotherNC · 13/02/2016 15:33

MrsS haha! Grin Yes, reaction much the same here, but I don't give two stuffs what H thinks at the moment, so I am enjoying Salome pretty much everyday. Slightly worried not that worried that other people must think I'm having a fabulous time of it at the moment, what with the naughty knicker smell....Blush!!! Glad the cat likes it, obviously has taste.

getoffthattabletnow · 13/02/2016 15:53

I've found Rosee Nuit a bit of a slow burner. It smells so warm and cosy on my Woolly jumpers the next day, that I'm beginning to love it.
Jardin Mystique has the most alluringly scented top notes of any perfume .Half an hour later I seem to become anosmic to it.I'm just debating whether it's worth buying a perfume I actually can't smell.
La Religiouse is being tested on my hand at the moment.A heady sickly bouquet in a funeral parlour with a body on display - Yuk, must be the civet.

MissBattleaxe · 13/02/2016 17:49

alwaysalaugh- I buy the vast majority of my scent online and I have never, ever had a fake. I recommend allbeauty.com and Fragrance Direct. It's cheaper than the High Street as they don't have overheads and it's not worth anyone's while to sell fakes as there are so many regulations about it.

SecondSunrise · 15/02/2016 13:24

You've fallen off the front page! That won't do at all. I've not been into smells so much for the past few weeks after a horrible bout of d and v. Gradually I've been finding I'm wanting to put perfume on again; mainly craving smokey tobacco scents. SOTD Back to Black By Kilian.

I was also wondering if there would be any interest in setting up a travelling sample box between us? Sounds like we all have a good stash and it would be nice to share our loves. I wouldn't mind setting it up. We could get a list of anyone who might be interested and start there? I can fill it with what I have spare, and then people spray a bit/test over a couple of weeks, add in anything they want to, and send to the next in the list. As long as I got it back at some point to sniff some new stuff we could keep sending it along. What do you think?

FrustratedFrugal · 15/02/2016 17:23

Page 2 won't do! I'd be happy to contribute to a travelling sample box but I'm not in the UK. Please write down if there is something particular you want to try. I have some duplicates and unwanted stuff, would be happy to share.

Today's conservative SOTD is Vega. A perfume that alwas makes me feel so pulled together. But need to find my Kilians! Beyond Love and Love are fantastic, and I've been thinking about the trashiness of Good Girl Gone Bad. Has anyone tried Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?

Winter is always the time when I'm really into perfume. In fact I'm organizing a meetup for some of my RL perfumista friends next week. A portable perfume bar! Blind raw material sniffing! New samples! Unlimited perfume talk!

FrustratedFrugal · 15/02/2016 17:24

Sorry about typos

YetAnotherNC · 15/02/2016 17:56

I think the travelling perfume box sounds a fab idea. I'm happy to add some in. Star

YetAnotherNC · 15/02/2016 17:58

SOTD Rien Intense. Sillage is huge, I am trailing a cloud of incense!

cressetmama · 16/02/2016 10:07

Good to see you back on the front page. On holiday and travelling with only two decants (MMM Untitled and Dzing!) so nothing much to add. I'm sure I could have my arm twisted be persuaded into a travelling sample box.

DH has discovered Hell on Earth. A sealed house filled with electric Glade air freshener puffers or other noxious scented products from supermarkets on every surface and in every room. Olfactory overkill would not be an exaggeration.

MsBojangles · 16/02/2016 14:01

Hello perfumistas, I wonder if I may pick your collective noses, so to speak.

I've an insatiable yearning for all thing coconutty, think rich and creamy perhaps with almond or white flowers, nothing too sickly and synthetic.

All suggestions welcome Smile

MissBattleaxe · 16/02/2016 15:50

Hello Bojangles! Try these:

Avon Tahitian Holiday, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, Fracas, Madonna Truth or Dare, Creed Virgin Island Water.

MsBojangles · 16/02/2016 16:17

Thank you MissB!

Lots to go on there, I love Creed VIW, my bank account not so much sadly. I've managed to avoid Bronze Goddess thus far thanks to my inner Hyacinth Bucket but I suspect I'll like it as much as everybody else does.

Off to source a sample of Fracas...

cardoon · 16/02/2016 16:27

My favourite notes too - mostly wearing L'artisan Premier Figuier and Frederic Malle Carnal Flower ATM

MsBojangles · 16/02/2016 16:36

Have you tried Diptique Do Son? It's a gorgeous creamy tuberose, heady as hell and only works on me on a really hot sticky day but absolute luscious in the right conditions.

MsBojangles · 16/02/2016 16:56

Oooh, Mr eBay is tempting me with L'Artisan Premier Figuier...decisions, decisons.

MissBattleaxe · 16/02/2016 17:38

If you can get hold of any Bath and Bodyworks stuff, they have a fragrance spritz that smells very similar to Creed VIW. I think it's coconut lime breeze. Try ebay, it's MUCH cheaper than VIW!

MsBojangles · 16/02/2016 18:04

Thanks for the tip MissB, didn't realise you could get that stuff on eBay...the interwebs, what the hell did we do without it.

MissBattleaxe · 16/02/2016 21:46

I know! The internet blows me away. I wonder how we ever managed sometimes.

The Bath and Bodyworks Fragrance spritzes are surprisingly long lasting, more like very good eau de toilette, but a fraction of the price. i really stocked up when I went to the states.

wiltingfast · 17/02/2016 17:47

On a Gucci Envy bender for the last few days. Getting to the end of my bottle though Sad

This remains quite strong on me all day, quite a persistent hyacinth I think. It reminds me of cut flowers. Only like it in the winter for some reason, gets too shrill in warm weather...

Have totally run out of LADDM, anyone know a cheap source of more??!! might tell DH to buy it for my birthday but that's MONTHS away Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 17/02/2016 18:52

I took Vertine and Jardin Mystique away with me on a work trip. I liked Jardin Mystique a lot, and used it in the evenings, and had Vertine for my day scent, which worked well, with the fresh and cool minty notes, as it was hot. I was in Ethiopia, and everything there smells of incense - even the money. My purse smells divine! Someone needs to bottle that smell - incense, heat, dust and sunshine.

DH wears VIW. I agree re the Bath and Bodyworks spray - it's very similar indeed.

MissBattleaxe · 17/02/2016 19:43

Adore Gucci Envy. I have a mini, a bottle on the go, and an unopened bottle in case they stop selling it on Amazon. Madness that they discontinued it. Lunacy.

Homeriliad · 17/02/2016 19:59

Anyone familiar with Caron pour un homme? I'm after a non cologney cologne iygwim, and that seems like a possible contender but have never sniffed it before.

MissBattleaxe · 17/02/2016 20:17

I've tried Caron 3rd Homme which was very good, if that's any help?
