Ahhhhh, the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness...if for you that means the joy of cosy jumpers, retrieving your favourite coats and jackets from the back of the wardrobe and an excuse to buy new boots then this is the place for you Smile. Come chat about clothes, make up and accessories, budgets from Primark to Prada. Lurkers, newbies and old hands all welcome.

Hi to everyone remember me??
I have been awol for a long while then put off by all the hackergate stuff and new logins I could never remember. Also even though ds is at school now I find I am busier than ever.
I am not even going to try to catch up beyond the last couple of pages.
Love the camel coat Blair good choice it looks so luxurious just as camel coats should.
Loved Libs cos dress, forest green is one of my favourite colours, the boots are gorgeous too.
Lara those moschino bags are just yucky I don't think chanel need to be bothered by them!
This top arrived today, the print will not be to everyone's taste but I love it
raoul top tried on with black trousers and my new pointy flat teal colour sergio rossi pumps, looked nice.
back later

AmberNectarine · 30/09/2015 16:34

Yes I use my big matches/NaP boxes for storing flat sandals and hiding credit card statements under the bed.

Lovely coat Blair

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 30/09/2015 16:52

Hi justa! I really like that top and the whole outfit sounds great. Hope you're well.

I keep my knitwear under the bed in a J crew coat box, but it's full so I'm hoping I can put a nice Matches one next to it now.

Thanks for the coat love! The only thing that bothers me is the bracelet length sleeves (which are 82cm long according to the site Hmm - helpful) but I'm going to try it with different tops and gloves. It could be glamorous in a Jackie O kind of way, but also rather unpractical...

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/09/2015 18:01

i don't like that particular moschino bag but in general i think the brand as a whole is an acquired taste, it isn't at all classic, it's not really glam or grown up, it's a very odd and decided 'look' if that makes sense. it's not the sort of thing i'd picture shop or marsha in for example but there are some things I could see Amber or me with. only select pieces mind you, a lot of it is too far out there even for me and that's saying something i think

Drywhitethanks · 30/09/2015 20:18

Moschino seems to me to be a brand for people with far too much money and no taste. I'd rather invest in classics than "ironic" rubbish.

Funny how you thought if me in Me +Em.

OOTD:
oasis navy bird print floral pencil skirt
Uniqlo merino grey/blue l/s crew neck
Silver pointy flats
Nude tights Smile

Trying to wear as many summer clothes as I can before it gets really cold. Lots of positive comments at work

KittyHello · 30/09/2015 20:51

Gorgeous Maxmara coat Blair

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 30/09/2015 21:17

Thanks Kitty!

Dry I'll join you on the anti-irony soap box. Your outfit sounds fab, lately I like the idea of a printed skirt with non-plain knitwear - probably inspired by this which I think is Valentino? Anyway sounds like you nailed it.

Bought this H&M top which is a rip off of this Celine one. Also love how she's styled it here. I dream of looking so effortlessly cool!

libertydoddle · 30/09/2015 22:44

Welcome back justa. I had wondered where you were. Hope all is well. Lovely top.

Great dress links Bernice. Yes we both do have an inner hippy!!

Beautiful coat Blair. Hope the sleeves work. H&M top looks good.

dry your work outfit sounds great.

Night, night all...

Morning all
Waves to justa
Innerhippy for you and Lib made me smile Bernice
I'm struggling with recuperation - walked less than a mile yesterday and am struggling massively with pain last night and today. Haven't left my village for 2.5 weeks now. Going stir crazy. :(

shopafrolic · 01/10/2015 07:45

There's 1/3 French pharmacy here

shopafrolic · 01/10/2015 07:57

And I never answered the LBD question. I have the James Perse, the Ganni that I wore to the last MU, and my leather panelled Joseph

AmberNectarine · 01/10/2015 08:19

Funny you should say that one - I have a moschino skirt that is one of my favourites (though it needs taking in) and I'm a big fan of Jeremy Scott in general. As with all things it's a case of different strokes for different folks. I find a lots of brands just unspeakably dull because I'm not about a pared back aesthetic or ladylike elegance.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 01/10/2015 08:54

I feel exactly the same Amber I just don't do ladylike unless I have to for a special event or something, in which case i'll grin and bare it. There's just a certain set of looks i could never do, they'd sit so wrong on me and i'd feel so uncomfortable in them, I've never been glam for example, it's just not for me!

libertydoddle · 01/10/2015 09:42

Oh "shop* Sad have you called your doctor? It doesn't sound right to be in so much pain still.

OP posts:
QueenCardi · 01/10/2015 11:03

Gosh, has it been 2.5 weeks shop? Didn't realise it had been that long when I texted you earlier. I guess the infection set you back though and they did say 6 weeks recovery time so hang in there. Can dh take you out at the weekend for a change of scenery? Even if it's just for a coffee. Are you allowed swimming? Maybe just gentle swimming or walking up and down the pool may be better than walking. Although I'm guessing you can't drive to get to a pool.

Sexy top blair

Maybe I was being a bit harsh on moschino when I said it's tacky. I think it's only the weird bits ( like the barbie stuff and the teddy bear) that come to my attention but I'm guessing they must do non ironic stuff too. I don't get anya hindmarch stuff either. First there was the Frosties etc stuff and now it's all roadworks stuff Hmm.

Boring outfit for me-navy jeans and navy sweatshirt. Just a day of doing chores. Going to try and fast again today to lose this stubborn last 2lb. I'm never great at fasting twice in one week so wish me luck.

libertydoddle · 01/10/2015 11:13

Good luck QueenC!!

AmberNectarine · 01/10/2015 11:35

Now you see QC, I really want this because DS is obsessed with Stobarts!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 01/10/2015 11:48

oh Shop it must be miserable for you. being in pain is exhausting, even if you do nothing all day. take it easy my love, don't over do things but i agree that the infection will have set you back a lot in your recovery. maybe a chat with the gp would help?

QueenCardi · 01/10/2015 12:40

Grin amber. It would be better if you could get your own name put on it like on a real Stobbart.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/10/2015 12:42

You can do it QueenC!

shop Flowers sorry to hear that the pain is bad. Only one more day until the weekend, when hopefully with DH around you can rest more and also be less bored. I bet you feel like you've done all the virtual shopping there is to do :(

The coat has just arrived. The box is wayyyy smaller than I thought it would be Hmm

Amber the price of that bag is insane! It looks like a pencil case!

QueenCardi · 01/10/2015 12:45

I've just ordered this blouse along with a couple from esprit (plain navy). Dd took a photo of me the other week in one of my blouses which has an elasticated bottom and it was not good. Hoping it was a bad angle but it's put me off wearing it and another like it so these are replacements!

QueenCardi · 01/10/2015 13:39

But how's the coat blair??

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/10/2015 13:52

I'm in the office QueenC, I suppose I could open it here but I quite like the anticipation of opening it at home, plus hate the faff of taking home an opened box. Sorry Grin

Larastheme · 01/10/2015 13:52

shop, Sad, maybe call your dr to ease your mind? Some people recover quickly, and others take more time, but you sound you are in a lot of pain which might prolong your recovery , hope you feel better Flowers,

Lovely blouse queen,

blair matches are famous for small boxes, the only big one I ever got was the one with my celine luggage , wonder if they still stock celine at matches.

Some of Anya's stuff are unique, and I kinda like how her handbags are a juxtaposition of classic bag designs and contempary pop art slogans, and I believe she was the first to start this trend, and the rest , are just blatantly copying her,

I was abit Hmm, at her SS16 ode to the British high street, but im beginning to like it, and I love that she add french supermarket Carrefour to the equation too, I really like this

Larastheme · 01/10/2015 14:01

help me with this one, trying to figure out if its JL or boots sign Confused
