Hatty, your weather can't be worse than here - raining steadily all day and FREEZING cold. Have just put the heating on - dh will be pleased Hmm.
I have a horrible cold and to be cold as well is too miserable.

Much sympathy re dd2, am struggling to stay on best terms with ds1 daily atm. When I came in after trudging about in the rain most of the afternoon he told me I wasn't allowed in the kitchen as he was using it and then proceeded to eat most of what I'd bought on the way home for my late lunch. GRRRRR.

Better go and cook a supper I don't want to eat...

I may be along for drinks. DS has been looking at Barbara Hepworth at school (!), and I note there is a BH exhibish at the Tate. Got a notion of going there en famille, getting the boat down the river, bit of Tate Modern, cocktails.

Just popping in to say it will be radio silence from me for few weeks while I keep mostly made-up-people and their lives in my head as I re-draft my book ready to send out to publishers.

Mrs S, huge congratulations on your new job. BTW, I really like www.writersworkshop.co.uk/ I went to the Festival of Writing in York this year and it was great. I would trust them to do an editorial report should you want one done on your novel.

Wow - good luck WAF - I'm seriously impressed.

Completely zapped GBBO but didn't they just throw of the one who was really good all the other weeks. Seems a bit harsh.

Trying to catch up on Dr Forster now having missed the first week.

Here, I'm sans DH again - Geneva, this time, until Friday. He is staying in some sort of luxe palace on the shores of the lake, and has team-building exercises, including Lego and Lumberjack Skills. Better than last year, when he had to dress as a woman and allow his colleagues to give him a full face of makeup. Grin

A hot glue gun (most handy for uni, according to dd), T shirts or printed things with feminist or other slogans (Caitlin Moran, Zazzle DIY), a news photography of the year/decade type book, dd absolutely loved a thrilling little book about donkey-keeping from that site that I think you discovered MrsS.

Is it okay if I come to drinks if I can't make the meal? Sorry to be so annoying - I had told ds he could be jelly-like about these theatre tickets and plans before I knew it was MU day.
