Great to see we're getting a bit of a list! Cremo and others, are we still thinking about doing something during the day before the booze-up meet-up?

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/09/2015 19:14

Like what?

Cremo · 04/09/2015 19:23

Hi wilbur!
Oh RoseAngry my blood would be boiling.
BTM if there are less than 10 of us maybe we should think about Tas again. I don't mind.
I'll be back at the end of next week- we have decided to travel back slowly as dmil has made herself homeless and is installed chez nous.
V long story , but she is moving to new flat aged Shock82. I can help with bookings etc on my return

MollyLair · 04/09/2015 19:26

I am available for fun in the afternoon....I don't mind what...eg that Rip Ride thing that Beachy missed out on because of bad weather. Or anything.

bigTillyMint · 04/09/2015 20:01

Cremo, that sounds interesting re your MIL??? And yes, I had forgotten about the minimum booking thing. Tas would be fine tooSmile

Molly, you thrill-seeker, you! Let's make a proper plan when Cremo is back, but keep signing up crepsters!

Haha, how about a canter down Rotten Row in Hyde Park? Riskiest thing about that would be the mahoooosive cost. Wink

Seriously, I haven't visited half the places you lot have (from previous threads) so happy to go along with any suggestions.

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/09/2015 20:58

There is the gluten free resto near Lambeff Norf, if you want to go that way? It's not all GF, but they do pizza and pasta that are - the owner is coeliac and wants everyone to be able to enjoy good Italian food. Smile I don't really mind where we go - Tas is good for me, as I can wobble home afterwards.

Rose - bloody hell. hope you're feeling ok

Molly - so glam, all the riding stuff

Had one of those days at work where you feel like a complete impostor and don't know whether to fling your arms in the air and say 'I'm RUBBISH at this' or just KBO and smiling and turning up on time.

Crem and BD - my DS is going through the same sort of thing as you too - for much the same reason as you, Crem. It is pants. Horrible, horrible.

Ahh, Rose, what are your family playing at? Hope ddad settles, though.

BTM, fab news re: sixth form happiness! :)

Rudy, enjoy the wine. Grin

Here, the sixth form saga continues. I managed to get dd to go in to school for a meeting with the Head of Chemistry and another chemistry teacher, who is also the 6th form coordinator. They told her to get stuffed re: doing her chem A2 this year. And to do French as her third subject instead. Or to pick re-do AS chem and pick up AS physics and go on to do the A2s for both in Y14. She said an emphatic no to an extra year in school and frothed with suppressed rage and upset. So ended up having to agree to French. Then, in her usual style, left in tears, telling me that she was finished with school and had enrolled in an accountancy course at 6th form college. Fine, I said. Even though it was not fine.

I managed to keep my thoughts to myself and not have any kind of tantrum. Not even a teeny-weeny one. I did have a little cry, all by myself.

Then some time later, dd muttered that, in fact, she might do French. And she was "sorry for everything". She is out tonight at an 18th, but is working all weekend for a friend (of mine) at the country agricultural show. And then apparently going back to school on Monday.

bigTillyMint · 04/09/2015 22:24

Oh Stropps. How stressful. Fingers crossed the outcome, ie going in on Monday to drop Chemistry and do French, will be a good one. I think you need a crepey break at the end of SeptemberWink

Rudy are you coming then? Put yersen on the listGrin

I'm in, and happy to do something in the afternoon too....

We are ensconced in the Premier Inn, ready to move in tomorrow....

Honestly Rose, some families. It's great that he's in, but it would have been nice to know!

Don't mind where we go, but it will be lovely to see you all.

Strops - I reckon it has done DD good, having two school representatives laying down the law. Fingers crossed all is well on Monday (but enjoy the wine anyway).

Rudy - did DD not have a good day?

Rose - I can't believe they didn't let you know.... but at least he's in. Hope it's the beginning of a more settled era for your DDad.

Ruddy hope okay...
Strops - erm - much strength...

Sheesh I think we need culture interspersed with much refreshment and chat on 26th... I am feeling the crepeys all need a tad support and propping up for a range of reasons.

GGG - interviews??

Blackduck · 04/09/2015 22:56

Rudy - both?!

Sorry Rudy - that was my fault - glad you've jumped back on.
Dd's day sounds quite amusing - but obviously pretty anxiety making for her. I would have struggled not to snort re the Maths bit! Hope Monday is less random.

Excited about seeing everyone on 26th!

Rudy, well I laughed! "She had a good day" - that is the main thing. It sounds like she will be fine (unfazed and not anxious is great - don't I know it!), she just needs to get a bit more organised. And she sounds like great entertainment. Does she do bus-pole dancing too?WinkGrin
