Ahh, Rose, what are your family playing at? Hope ddad settles, though.
BTM, fab news re: sixth form happiness! :)
Rudy, enjoy the wine.
Here, the sixth form saga continues. I managed to get dd to go in to school for a meeting with the Head of Chemistry and another chemistry teacher, who is also the 6th form coordinator. They told her to get stuffed re: doing her chem A2 this year. And to do French as her third subject instead. Or to pick re-do AS chem and pick up AS physics and go on to do the A2s for both in Y14. She said an emphatic no to an extra year in school and frothed with suppressed rage and upset. So ended up having to agree to French. Then, in her usual style, left in tears, telling me that she was finished with school and had enrolled in an accountancy course at 6th form college. Fine, I said. Even though it was not fine.
I managed to keep my thoughts to myself and not have any kind of tantrum. Not even a teeny-weeny one. I did have a little cry, all by myself.
Then some time later, dd muttered that, in fact, she might do French. And she was "sorry for everything". She is out tonight at an 18th, but is working all weekend for a friend (of mine) at the country agricultural show. And then apparently going back to school on Monday.
