Morning all - very chilly here, just 8 outside brr. DD1 begged to wear her Christmas jumper yesterday, I started off protesting that it was only September but caved pretty quickly when she pointed out it was jumper weather. We've got a local festival to go to this afternoon, think I'll be in high-tops, skinnies and a chunky jumper.

Thanks for the Gap advice Amber & sales tip Mara. I can't make it to a store but have a pair on their way with 30% off. On the jeans front, a friend came to visit yesterday wearing these Oasis flares, they looked great (although she is tall & slim ).

I think your DH is right about washer dryers Shop. We had to replace recently and separates fare far better. It has meant we now only have a washing machine while we figure out how to fit a dryer into our tiny garage. I'm also around for What's App frame fun on Tuesday .

Love the cobalt DVF top Queen one of my favourite colours. Hush has quite a few nice tops in it this season. I'm with Stokey on the Marthew Williamson dress, love it but out of my budget and no idea where I'd where it. I have some lovely grey suede Sam Edelman boots from last winter that I need to dig out for when it's a bit colder.

My sister has bought me this Next jumper which I can't wait to wear. Need to order the matching skirt but there is a long wait for some reason.

In case anyone was thinking of ordering - My uniqlo turtlenecks arrived and despite both being size S, the ribbed one fitted perfectly (was clingy) and the plain one was very loose. Not going to reorder as I don't think XS will be right either.

I've had a fab day. Took dd shopping and decided to hold up loads of clothes against her to see what colours suit. Held up what I thought was a hideous greeny-yellowy colour but it looked good and so did coral/salmon/orange type colours. She looks fab in peacock blues and teal and ive bought her a rust top which looks totally amazing. She is so autumn!
lib she'd like a lipstick for her birthday (10 going on 15). Do you have any recommendations for a cheap one? If she's going to insist on wearing lippy then I want to make sure it looks nice. Not surprisingly all my cast offs look awful on her.
I only bought a gilet for me (kids zara!). Will link in a mo. Need to try on with different clothes but I think its a keeper.

the colour of this blouse is amazing but I didn't try as I knew the neckline wouldn't suit me. I'd definitely like to get to a pine green top.

I was tempted to try this jumper on, again as it was the most divine dark green. But I knew that the jewels around the neckline would look naff on me.

this jumper is the perfect ice blue and looked amazing but the shape was hideous-short and flare-y.

Tried on this coat. I knew the style was rubbish for me but wanted to see what a blue coat would be like. I fell in love with the colour and am now considering a blue rather than grey coat.

Felt summery again today. Was about to pack everything away for winter as just don't have wardrobe space for everything in our temporary home but glad I held off. On way out to meet some old friends for dinner. Wearing brown Marni print silk top with pale blue frame jeans, flat gold sandals, wang clutch and hermès wool shawl. Feels good but can feel the jeans are a bit tight. Like a few of you have mentioned am also stepping up health and fitness regime from tomorrow. Went for a run this morning for the first time since before summer hols. Was tough but feel better already for going.

Hope September is treating you all well and back to school has gone smoothly (you too mara, have you started yet? - sorry if you've said, I've just dived in).

Sorry for being awol for so long- combination of being back to work and moving house. Loving the new house, although still surrounded by boxes, and will be for some time.

Expect me to be quite house-obsessed for a while. Have just been browsing the Lakeland site (waves to Blingy).

Blair I love the Next stripe jumper, I have a box pleat red skirt from Hobbs exactly the same as the (leather?) one they show with it and struggle to find tops to go with that aren't plain. Will check it out nex to week.QueenC love the S Mc tweed jacket, very me.
