amber has had us all buying shoes this week. She spotted these for me. Love them. They're a little cheap and plasticky hence the price but have been assured that they don't look it. Plan on wearing them tomorrow although like fedup'my waistline has expanded and I'm limited by which jeans I can wrar. Exercise regime starts in earnest on Monday as well as stopping eating the crap as the kids. I'm also back on the sugar but that's going on Monday too (can't do it sooner as making a cheesecake for guests tomorrow).
one sorry you're having a crap time. Is your sister still there to support you?
Will check out grabble later.

shopafrolic · 04/09/2015 17:35

Quick wave to all - loving all the shoeboot action.
Novice enjoy
The All Saints cardigan turned up. Nice quality, light / medium weight knit but plenty warm enough. I ordered a 12 but am going to size up to a 14 to make it slightly roomier. Definite keeper though.
Had kitchen people round today to quote for a new one. We had planned a build outside but it is looking £££££ so the alternative is new kitchen and outside landscaping - I'm quite excited.....
Any kitchen tips (especially round integrated appliances) much appreciated.

LinusLovesBretons · 04/09/2015 17:41

Evening!

Glad to hear the Choo bikers are a success. I can't wait to wear my old ones again.

one so sorry to hear you had a horrible time with your neighbour. (((Hugs)))

blingy your outfit sounds great! Have fun!

I love hearing about the little fashion conscious DC. Mine are not really interested so far but they're still quite little.

I went into town today to have a look at some A/W stuff I'd seen online IRL but nothing I wanted was in the shops. Hmm

I did buy a lovely pair of grey trousers at Brunello Cucinelli (sorry, can't find a link) which I can see myself wearing a lot this winter.

I remember my colour of choice last winter was grey but I had trouble finding the right kind of grey but these trousers are exactly what I was looking for.

AmberNectarine · 04/09/2015 18:40

My shoe fetish is infectious...

safetyzone · 04/09/2015 18:49

So to continue the shoes theme, this is what I bought from eBay last week... Hope I don't regret it!

Nice Safety!

AmberNectarine · 04/09/2015 19:36

Hard to regret Manolos I think. Though I would have said same about Louboutins until I owned a pair. Fucking horrible things. I watched that doc on him the other day and he admitted even Kate Moss found the Pigalles painful which made me feel a bit better.

Stokey · 04/09/2015 19:43

Loving the Choos (puntastic) & the Manolos Safety

& the Ash snake print Fedup

You've reminded me that I want a pair of cobalt Ash Virgins and a pair of black biker boots. Think I'll have to choose between them. This thread IS dangerous.

safetyzone · 04/09/2015 19:49

Louboutins are literally torture! Bought 2 pairs at the height of their popularity and by god they hurt. My manolos were a dream by comparison. Worn a pair to death.

That reminds me, I should really try to sell the things...

Drywhitethanks · 04/09/2015 20:09

Evening all, went to my new work place today, apparently one of my references said I was "superwoman" Confused nothing like setting the benchmark high Hmm

Loving all of the shoe purchases.

Feeling quite tipsy, both DCs are at parties had to buy cider in Asda today for DS, the shame Shock and DH and I have had lobster and caviar hate caviar with a rather excellent bottle of Chablis. Second one opened just now.

I took the opportunity to give him the card from Longchamp don't worry, I photocopied it with all of the details of the red handbag, stressing 8 WEEK FOR HANDLE SHORTENING!!!!!!!!!!!!

onemightywizard · 04/09/2015 20:20

QueenC yes, my sister is still here for the time being. i'm hoping he'll leave me alone now but i've been told to keep a record of anything he says or does towards me from now on and just have to wait for the police to do their job

Stokey · 04/09/2015 20:22

Superwoman Dry? Get that cape on! I'm sure DH will manage, bless him.

Hope you're OK Shop. I meant to say Hush harems are my go-to "trackie" trouser now and they definitely do long length. No knowledge about kitchen I'm afraid, we need to wait til we can remortgage in 2017 to hopefully knock it all down and restart.

shopafrolic · 04/09/2015 20:26

I couldn't see long length harems Stokey? Just regular?

Stokey · 04/09/2015 22:25

Weird Shop, they've just changed their sizing so maybe have stopped doing them? I just looked at the website and on the description they have inside leg for longer and regular length but I can't see it in sizing Confused. Annoying.

onemightywizard · 05/09/2015 00:08

I know many might think it's a wee bit wrong but I am massivelt attracted to THESE GLOVES amber you'll back me up right? RIGHT!?!

In my only defence, they would totally stop me getting callouses on my hands from my crutches and would look way better than say, fishnet fingerless gloves

AmberNectarine · 05/09/2015 06:46

Oh yeah, I love a fingerless glove, me. I have a leather studded pair from last year kicking about somewhere.

Bloody little knobs Kids have woken me up and now I can't get back to sleep.

Drywhitethanks · 05/09/2015 09:15

Shop what so you need to know about kitchens exactly? It's a big one, expensive. Invest in appliances. granite is expensive shop around but low maintenance . I would have got more deep drawers instead of cupboards. I love my kitchen, it's definitely the heart of my home.

maradesbois · 05/09/2015 09:48

Morning,

Raining here and we're off out for the day grr.

One yes to the gloves! Hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Dry hate caviar too but your evening with dh sounded lovely.

Gorgeous shoes Safety. Never had louboutins and no desire whatsoever for them. Surely part of the skill is to make heels that are relatively comfortable?

Shop re kitchen I agree with dry about choosing where to spend & save. Love the kitchen in our old house, spent lots on granite worktops, wanted solid black with no quartz & kitchen big so hard to find very long pieces. Went cheap on units, got howdens ones and our builders made doors which we painted in f&b and bought brass handles. Wanted the plain English look but not the ££££. Next time I'm thinking more stainless steel industrial softened with warm wood/brick. Need to buy a house first though! Also think ikea units are really good.

Stokey · 05/09/2015 09:59

Someone told me Habitat & IKEA kitchens are made at exactly the same place but just sold at vastly different price points!

Amber, you have the Gap Resolution true skinnies? How far did you size down? Thanks.

LinusLovesBretons · 05/09/2015 10:10

Morning!

Chilly here so I am wearing the cashmere Brunello Cucinelli jumper I bought in the sales last year and my trusty Jimmies (which I haven't worn in months but are like a old friend you feel comfortable with immediately)

shop I would love a new kitchen so I will watch your ideas with interest.

safety great Manolos, I love mine and would like to have a lifestyle where I could wear them more often. And I am reminded to sell the only pair of Louboutins I own as I rarely wear now.

one I like fingerless gloves but not really those ones. I think they are too Karl/Madonna.

maradesbois · 05/09/2015 10:18

Stokey you probably already know but gap 40% off in store until mon

VivaVegas · 05/09/2015 10:53

Morning,
Wearing the lovely Ganni sweat I got in the sales, very soft and comfy and nice and slouchy with skinnies and Gazelles. ASOS parka arrived and perfect for autumn/spring nice and light and brushed cotton with the all important hood!
We have recently converted and extended our downstairs including a new kitchen so can relate to the £££ it costs. Am really pleased with what we did as we now have a great space, still need to decorate and finish furnishing/accessorising it but that's the fun part.
Am starting to think about our Summer holiday next year, if anyone went anywhere this year that they would really rate please can you let me know and I'll PM for details. Wanting a short haul flight and nice accommodation ideally self catering (or eating out in our case) or B and B in a hotel, need a pool and like to be walking distance to a beach and nice local restaurants to eat out in. Have been very lucky with our choices in the last few years and find personal recommendations very useful. We typically go to Greece but would mind trying something else this year.

Longislandicetee · 05/09/2015 11:19

Morning! Still in my v sexy M&S pjs (ha!)but will be getting ready soon for wedding. Lovely family dinner last night with far too many drinks. Kids were gorgeously behaved and slept well. Hope they haven't peaked! Grin.

Dmil had a shopping spree yesterday so we were admiring her bargains. Anyone who thinks I am blingy would be Shock if they met dmil.

Shop we had my dream kitchen put in our old house and then we moved 2 years later. Sad. Best things we had in the kitchen were drawers for the saucepans, an island, integrated wooden chopping board, separate food larder cupboard and the corner cupboards had a pull out type drawer so you could use the corners properly.

QueenofCardigans · 05/09/2015 11:24

viva i can definitely recommend james villas.
one hope you're feeling better
shop when we did our kitchen I thought hard about exactly what I wantedvand created cupboard space for everything including a cupboard for shopping/plastic bags. If you can afford it a wine fridge is a must! Love our range cooker-it's got 5 jobs and 2 ovens. We got an integrated microwave/oven so that we actually have 3 ovens which is great for roasts. I only went for integrated microwave and dishwasher. Washing machine is in another room. Wouldn't change a thing except I wish I'd got an 8 seater table rather than 6.

VivaVegas · 05/09/2015 11:42

Oh yes, love my wine fridge! That an an island were the 2 things I wasn't prepared to compromise on! We have an integrated 'stack' of 2 ovens and a microwave, works for us and takes up minimal space. I must admit we spent so many hours planning what we were doing and it was worth it but at the time I got seriously fed up with looking at kitchens and appliances!
