Not quite sure how that went so quickly. Continuing the search for stylish bargains. Lurkers welcome - bring links and a smile :)

I have the medium in navy - large was too big (& heavy if full) and small too small! It doesn't quite drag on the ground and sometimes carry it over my shoulder.

It has been used as an overnight bag, day bag for spa/gym, beach bag and general have loads to carry bag.

maradesbois · 15/07/2015 22:54

Think they've changed the sizes of short handle ones, the one I was thinking of was same size as the large tote but with short handle whereas now there seems to be nothing between the medium handbag and the smallest travel bag which is still v long.

Fedupnagging · 15/07/2015 22:54

Forgot to say, black is not boring but orange would be fab!

Btw Dry your post at 21:35 - not too keen on wearing a kipper Grin Wink

bettykt · 15/07/2015 23:30

I'm 5"2 and have the large shoulder one in black, it's not boring, and very useful, I used it a lot in winter. I also have an orange one, same size, thanks to Shop which I love but oddly don't use as much as I thought I would have, mainly because I use my Le Pilage backpack practically all the time.

libertychick · 15/07/2015 23:50

Navy medium shoulder one here. So useful. I carry as a grab bag quite often as I use it as an overspill bag for work so often have it stuffed with papers for meetings. Great for shopping with DD at weekends. I think the black ones look great.

Love the Finery links Bernice but I am resisting. I've actually gone right off shopping takes own temperature If I do buy anything it will be cheap dresses for holidays in Thailand at end of November and maybe some tops for work.

Topazandpearl · 16/07/2015 07:03

I have the large shoulder bag in red. It is my go-to hand luggage bag as well as being great for shopping trips. I usually carry it on my shoulder. I think it looks great in black (and also navy or olive green).

I will be packing it up later for a trip to family. DM's operation was brought forward to Monday just gone and has gone very well. I am looking forward to seeing her and DF and looking after them while I am there, but I also know that I will be climbing the walls quite soon!

Like Lib, I have no inclination for shopping at the moment. This is just as well as our house move is imminent (Sept) and I need to try to keep DH from worrying about money! (He does this, he has a big idea, we decide to act on it and then he frets. Then he gets over it, so it is ok).

Enjoy your holiday Fedup and enjoy the MU all who are going (and don't forget the detailed round-ups please!)

LinusDKD · 16/07/2015 07:08

Morning!

I have two Pliages: a large (?) red one with long straps and a huuge magenta one with short straps.

I use mine mainly when we travel by car. The huge one to put all our shoes in and the red one with snacks, drinks, bibs, nappies etc.

Wearing one of my H&M dresses today as it's going to be a scorcher today, again. Apparently we haven't had rain for the last 25 days! Shock

shopafrolic · 16/07/2015 08:29

Large taupe and black long handles here. Only ever use over shoulder. Great as hand luggage. Best to buy at the airport if you're travelling over the summer Dry......The Orange is fab too but you won't get as much use with it.

Thanks Shop - just bought a T I have had my eye on for a while.

This one

Dry I also have a Le Pliage - large I think, the straps go over the shoulder. The colour is Hydrangea I think - deep pink, I am a fan of bright bags.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/07/2015 11:41

Thanks shop - argh I wanted so many things on the Just In today. Will have to see if there's anything else :)

I am Le Pliage-less! Good to read about them though, I would like to get one at some point.

OOTD is bright blue Uniqlo top a la QueenC, tucked into navy Whistles skinny trousers and a thin gold belt.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/07/2015 11:44

Oh and my Crocs have arrived! They came in a bag with CROCS in the biggest letters on the side Blush They seem nice but I'm wondering if I've gone too far with the comfy shoes thing...

AmberNectarine · 16/07/2015 13:00

Just went into Russell and Bromley for 'a look' and have come out with a Quilty bag. Sigh.

Stokey · 16/07/2015 13:29

I've got the large Les planetes bag from them in orange Dry and use it loads and always gets compliments. I have the big red Le Pliage too which is lighter in itself but less sturdy. The corners tore very quickly on my red one which is why I bought a different model second time round. I do use them for kids stuff though so am quite hard on them.

bettykt · 16/07/2015 14:42

What colour Quilty did you buy Amber?

QueenCardigan · 16/07/2015 14:55

Ooh yes amber which quilty? Im a bit disappointed with mine. There's a small on the leather which has scratched off and ive only used it a handful of times and keep it in its dust bag.

Lovely outfit blair. Was thinkng about the same outfit for saturday!

No le pliage here. I'd go for the ones without the tan handles so le planetes I think? I should have got the bright pink one but don't think there's any colour I like at the moment.

AmberNectarine · 16/07/2015 15:08

The panels are all different colours - red, orange and bright pink. It's mad but I loved it straight away. Was also half price in the sale. I figure it will be a good way to decide if I would use a Chanel much.

shopafrolic · 16/07/2015 16:50

Can't see a Planetes bag on the Longchamp website Stokey can you link?

OneLittleLady · 16/07/2015 17:13

does anyone know if any of the le pilage bags come with cross body straps or if the brand does a similar bag with a cross body strap? i can't carry antyhing other than cross body bags or rucksacks these days Sad

LinusDKD · 16/07/2015 17:26

I think they do rucksacks one, not sure about crossbody bags.

Will have a look later when the DC are in bed.

LinusDKD · 16/07/2015 17:58

I am on the bubbles after a yummy G&T as we're officially on holiday as of tonight.

DH has taken tomorrow off and the DC are at nursery so we have all day to pack spend some adult time together

shopafrolic · 16/07/2015 17:58
