Morning!

dry hope your DS is getting better! My DM is a trained nurse and even she felt squeamish about giving her DC and DH injections.

Phew, I am knackered after our holiday. It's just not relaxing with two small DC who need constant looking after and who's whole routine has changed.

But we're back home now so hopefully we'll all settle back into normal life soon.

No fashion news to report as it's that time of year when the dregs of the sales are rubbish and it's too summery to think of A/W yet.

Fedupnagging · 04/08/2015 08:48

Novice you sound seriously sexy on holiday. nope, not at all envious

Dry injecting ds am sure you will manage though. Hope he's ok. I am a big fan of the boden cropped cardigans and would highly recomend - I think they suit the slight shorter ladies. They also have 3/4 sleeve which I love.

Grin at Cranagh replacement shirt - like your style!

Linus glad you had a good weekend away - hope you manage to get some rest now you're home.

I had several compliments on yesterday's ootd - chambray jumpsuit, yellow s/s cropped cardigan and bronze flats. Today atm I'm wearing a grey and white stripe t shirt dress as doing lots of jobs.

OneLittleLady · 04/08/2015 08:54

Off to do some sewing this morning, finally going to get to use the fabric i bought in america, hopefully i will have something worthwhile to show by the end of the morning!

novice you sound confident, beautiful and foxy Wink

shop glad the guy can be charged

dry hope DS is okay and doing as he's told and you aren't finding the injections to difficult to give

cranagh glad the move went well, I'm sure your DD's will do just fine at their new school Smile

libertychick · 04/08/2015 11:32

I posted earlier but no sign of it Confused

Cranagh good to hear your girls are settling well. Which shirt did you order? Jersey shirts sound potentially good for work?

dry you need my DH. He took huge delight in injecting me daily when we had IVF I was black and blue

one have fun sewing. Has DSis moved in yet?/

Linus sales dregs are depressing!

santamarianovella · 04/08/2015 11:42

Hello...? hope You all still remember me Wink, were there any faux pas committed in my absence? i see boden mentioned here quite a lot Confused , was on a hiatus from the thread for a few months, had some issues and was feeling very down, feeling a bit better and ready to rejoin, no way to do a proper catching up, so, I'm gonna jump right in, I hope you DS is doing better dry Flowers,

I'm still on holiday, weather has been terrible ,was way too hot and humid, when we first came here thankfully it has improved a lot now,

I'm a year older since I was last here Wink, bought this valentino dress , for the occasion , I absloutely love it ,very versatile and I've worn it quite a few times for day now with flats,

Hope you all are having great holidays! X

maradesbois · 04/08/2015 11:45

Hello,

Agree with Linus about fashion lull period between sales and a/w. I neither want to trawl the dregs nor think about cold weather just yet.

Ootd is Zara blush pleated maxi skirt with white vest top and gold lkb flats that are on their last legs. Having tea in my minuscule city garden and admiring my hydrangea planting. Off on hols in just over a week and enjoying all the reports from sunnier climes. Love Novice's adoption of accessorize holiday bling.

Blair your dh's '90s comment made me chuckle. Think a bit of my soul is still in that decade.

Cranagh glad all went well with the move and that your dds are happy. Changing schools is a big thing, am getting complaints from ds about it but think he'll be fine when the time comes.

Dry hope ds (and you!) are recovering well. Btw not sure airport shopping is cheaper either but if your dh is willing go for it. Word of warning re the hermès leather bracelet, can be a pita to exchange if bought duty free. I did it once and definitely lost out on eur/£ rate.

Marsha am really keen to do the Southbank expo but grateful for your heads up about height restrictions as ds is only about 105 cm. Enjoy your well-deserved hols.

Shop pm

bettykt · 04/08/2015 12:36

Santa lovely to see you back, without you to keep us on the straight and narrow we've turned to Boden. Come and rescue us Wink have missed your links. Great dress btw, love the colours.

Mara love the sound of your ootd

How's Novice the resident flasher Grin I'm just jealous that you have boobs, can wear a bikini and accessorise it with bling!

How's nurse Dry? hope ds's injections aren't to painful for him.

Like everyone else I'm waiting on a/w to go shopping. The catalogued are starting to drop the the door, some nice stuff at Me&Em.

Cranagh · 04/08/2015 12:53

Hi Santa!

Nothing wrong with the odd bit of non-patterned Boden. Although ideally I'd prefer to be in DVF the whole time! It's this shirt. Liberty. www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Clearance/Womens-Tops-T-shirts/3_4-Sleeved-Tops/WL905/Womens-Easy-Jersey-Shirt.html

Stokey · 04/08/2015 13:35

Hello MNVers.
Have got wi-fi again after a few days so am catching up. Lol at Novice flashing, I wore a non halter neck Freya bikini on the water slide yesterday and it held up well.

I'm actually thinking I'll return to Freya next year as my Hoola one has already got a bit of the wire poking through after just one week, unimpressed at the cost per wear and will definitely post a shirty review on their website. I couldn't do triangle ones, boobs would be everywhere.

Seafolly kaftan had been great though, I've worn it every day.
Enjoy hols everyone who's still away and about to go.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/08/2015 13:55

Yay The Santa is back! That Valentino dress is to die for. Glad to hear things are better for you :)

Hey Stokey hope you're having a great time.

betty I got the Me+Em catalogue too, thought it was a bit thin, an A/W teaser! I love the boots they've styled everything with.

libertychick · 04/08/2015 14:37

TKMaxx alert!!!!! They have Hipenama bracelets for £20. Just got a lovely orange toned one during my lunch break Smile

maradesbois · 04/08/2015 15:19

Good alert Lib, Novice was after one of those after trying Stokey's at the mu.

to Santa, great to have you back. Love the Valentino. Enjoy the rest of your hols.

Voluminous maxi skirt wasn't the best idea when trying to negotiate getting upstairs on the bus with ds, scooter and shopping but am pleased have finally managed to find good fish in London without having to get up at the crack of dawn to go to billingsgate. Salt crusted line caught sea bass and fennel for dinner tonight, yum. lunch was McDonalds

Drywhiteplease · 04/08/2015 15:56

We've missed you Smile..... Fab dress btw. I called Boden last night to say I was "a bit cross" teachers voice about receiving 20% discount and free p and p the day after I'd placed an order......refunding difference.

Betty sod DSis, I'm finding the injections very painful indeed Grin I told him he was under no circumstances allowed to complain. kind mother

Liberty please put your DH on train ASAP .

Mara well done on surviving the maxi/bus/full hand scenario. Pleeeeeease could you pm me that delicious sounding fish recipe.

So I spent the morning in pjs with my DCs on the sofa watching Come Dine With Me, my summer holidays have finally started Smile

LinusDKD · 04/08/2015 16:23

Yay, The Return of TheSanta!

I love that Valentino dress you bought. I have been pinning lots of their A/W stuff on my fantasy wardrobe board.

I have just been reading Lisa Eldridges account of her stay at the Mayr Clinic in Austria and it sounds right up my street.

A whole week of being alone pampering and treatments is really something I could do with now.

Shame it's so ££££

libertychick · 04/08/2015 16:47

Welcome back santa and happy belated birthday. Fabulous dress! What shoes do you wear with it?

Mara getting DC and all that stuff up the stairs is an achievement even without the maxi! Outfit sounds great.

Thanks for the shirt link Cranagh. Probably not what I need for work and I have enough casual clothes.

dry I'll send DH if you take DD too and I'll escape to a spa by myself for a few days Grin

Fedupnagging · 04/08/2015 17:05

Hey, welcome back Santa defiantly wearing boden crop jeans AND cropped cardi love, love that dress.

Ootd Mara sounds fab but not so practical for climbing on and off buses! Your dinner sounds delish.

How is it going with your dsis One?

Yay for Stokey and the return of wifi. Glad you're having fun.

This Mih breton arrived today and am definitely keeping. Sleeves are very long but will just roll the back artfully yeah, right

Have just had a quick count up of the stripey tops in my wardrobe and there are 9 Shock. 1 grey, 1 red 2 pink and the rest shades of blue. This count does not includes any dresses or skirts! Mners under no circumstances are you to let me buy any more stripey clothing!!

shopafrolic · 04/08/2015 17:29

No Boden here Santa Grin
Lovely to see you back - belated Happy Birthday and what a fabulous dress. Have missed your posts greatly :)

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 04/08/2015 17:41

Hmm I think Boden is good for plain, quality basics......not keen on the huge, identifiable prints. wearing vintage wash boden denim mini ish

linus can I join you at the spa?

LinusDKD · 04/08/2015 18:38

Oh shop how can you forget the Boden Sorrento swimsuit?! Wink

Please join me dry, but only if you try the colonic irrigation (I have no idea if they do that but it looks like that kind of place) before me. Grin

Seriously, the thought of having my back pummeled by some Teutonic Helga Robot seems very appealing after zero Me Time for the last few weeks.

I Vant To Be Alone...

libertychick · 04/08/2015 18:52

And the Boden cashmere shop... Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/08/2015 19:52

MNV spa trip! we so should one day

Just went for C25K second run, doing it straight after work was much nicer than I imagined it would be. Nice and cool and filled the hour between getting home and cooking.

I need some fantasy bag shopping please. I realised last week that there is a gap in my life for a large cross body - big enough for all the usual stuff plus a book or Kindle. On jury service I was lugging around my mulberry mitzy and my shoulder hurt.

Budget maybe up to £500, and I could in theory wait til discount codes/sales - any suggestions that would be within that range? Is the Pashli comfy to wear cross body? :)

shopafrolic · 04/08/2015 20:06

I meant I'm not wearing any Boden right now. Weird that you two have quoted practically the only Boden I own! 2 bikinis, 1 swimsuit and my cashmere sweater.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 04/08/2015 20:07

Hate the Pashli cross body Blair it's too structured to wear that way. Not sure how much an AH maxi zip satchel is but it's a fab bag....

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/08/2015 20:24

I thought the AH would probably get suggested shop, it is gorgeous. I just can't really see myself with it though, not sure why.

I do normally go for structured bags, but not sure whether it would be ok for me to have something slouchier for casual use. (thinking far ahead, I would like to keep this bag long enough to be able to use it when I have DCs and need to be hands free Grin)

QueenCardigan · 04/08/2015 20:34

I'll join you at the spa next week. Aside from getting home to my cats I have no desire to go home on Saturday. We went to visit friends on another part of the island today and it was lovely. The only downside so far this week that a big storm at the weekend is that the beaches are pretty dirty and full of debris.
'Fashion' this week is debatable. The kaftan has a rip in it and has salt marks on it and everything else is getting a little dirty but I cant be arsed to wash. The salt and chlorine have totally ruined one bikini and the kids swim stuff.
dry glad you are finally getting a break
santa welcome back. Great to see you.
Love to you all.
