Fingers crossed for your DS Dry, hope you don't have to wait too long.

fedup no! I think I forgot to say. I got discharged from another case on Friday and got a call later to say don't come back on Monday Confused Bit disappointed as I never got to see a case through to the end. I did get loads of shopping time, but being this time of year there was nothing I wanted to buy. I had a mini Lakeland spree though.

Marsha I know, he would have been 15 in 1996 too, but he does have an older sister!

Hope dog show was good shop and sending get well vibes to your DH.

I have just been for a run! Ok week 1 couch to 5k but still that's amazing for me. And it wasn't bad at all!

BrandyAlexander · 02/08/2015 15:50

Hello! absolutely loving our hotel. We have a 2 bed villa with a massive pool to ourselves and it's v hot. ootd is Freya south Pacific halter neck bikini with lovely layered necklace from Accessorize (channeling Sleep) and ankle bracelet (I only ever wear this on holiday but dh seems to have a thing for it Wink).

Our journey was errrm interesting. dh who had insisted we travel economy is actually a PrincessHmm. The kids and i had a great time and the crew were lovely. dh just got increasingly grumpy. I thought he was going to lose it when they asked to weigh his hand luggage.Grin

When we got here it turned out they lost dds luggage. cue even grumpier dh. This morning I had to buy dd a swimsuit. For 65 Euros. yes you read that right. sixty five Euros. i have never spent that much on a bikini for me!!!Shock I haven't told dh yet. Thankfully her luggage has been found and is now en route to us.

quick welcome back to Fedup and still thinking of mini (or not so mini!) Dry

MarshaBrady · 02/08/2015 19:09

Betty I like the look of Johnnie B stuff.

Shop Canaries - North Tenerife. Really looking forward to it. Weather looks great - 30 and sunny every day.

Fedup one week to go! Then we're off.

Dry hope your ds is ok post op.

Blair well done on the run!

Novice sounds gorgeous.

We went to Carsten Höller today on Southbank. So good. Has anyone been?
The dc loved it, as you can imagine they would, with a huge slide and a completely dark tunnel. Then spent a while there watching the skate boarding, ds is fascinated by them, using the big sand pit and spending a fortune in Yo Sushi as one does. Must remember to go there more often.

bettykt · 02/08/2015 20:01

Dry how was Ds 's op? Hope it all went well.

Marsha I was quite tempted by Johnnie B sandals but thought they were a bit 'young' as in more for girls than adults Confused they've been in and out of my basket many times.

Novice have a great holiday, glad dd's luggage has turned up. Phew

Blair was that your first run? Have you done much running before?

Topazandpearl · 02/08/2015 20:40

Dry hope DS is ok and recovering well. OOTD sounds great - no chance of you being overlooked!

Well done on the run Blair.

Glad DD's suitcase turned up and your holiday sounds fabulous novice.

Welcome back Fedup.

Hope everyone has a good week!

shopafrolic · 02/08/2015 22:20

Love the Southbank Marsha that looks good - not sure if DS still a bit too young? Not long till hols then. Good stuff.
Novice sounds brill although LOL at your DH. Enjoy.
Wore J Crew navy and silver Breton today with hush denim shorts. Desperate attempt to get some sun on my legs. Really want to buy the J Crew linen tee in metallic silver but refuse to pay £45!!
Took DS for first ever Thai this eve. He loved it - result.

Shop just looked at the site and minimum height is 120cm for the slide. Worth checking. Ds2 loved the slide and the very dark entrance and was more fearless than the rest of us.

There's some other good stuff too. VR etc

shopafrolic · 02/08/2015 22:49

Cool. Will measure.

Morning. This part of the Island is lovely with beautiful busy coves for swimming. We were so excited to have a double bed in this villa (last week was all twin rooms) but the first night ds had a nightmare so we put him in with dh so last night we finally got to sleep together. Not sure I can do it again- the bed is so creaky that every time dh moved I woke up which means it would far too noisy to have sex in so I'm knackered Grin.

novice I'm impressed that you wear all that bling in this heat. I just can't be faffed with jewellery when it's this hot.
shop metallic silver tee sounds lovely and I really like your silver/navy Breton.

BrandyAlexander · 03/08/2015 09:25

Morning! Big news!!!! For the first holiday ever, ds decided he wanted to go to kids club!Shock we happily obliged and they have gone for 1.5 hours. Dh is at the gym and I am on the sun lounger with my iPad. Bliss.

QueenC your holiday sounds lovely. Shame about the twin bed!Sad On the jewellery thing, you know me, I am naked without it. I love holidays for experimenting with stuff I wouldn't normally wear. The long necklace I am wearing looks sexy with a bikini. (The upside is long lingering looks from dhGrin, downside is having to ignore the looks from blokes who are not dhHmm). But in the UK, I always feel cold so it would matronly.

Shop 120cm is roughly the height of a 6 year old so your luck may be out.

AmberNectarine · 03/08/2015 09:48

Yes I'm amazed DS2 is that tall Marsha, as I think he is the same age as my DS who has just about scraped over a metre. Though looking at the height disparity between you and me that's potentially not a surprise!

Enjoy your holiday novice - cannot wait for ours, still just over 2 weeks to go.

Keep meaning to order one of those Triangl bikinis but am poleaxed by indecision re colour and style. DH likes the triangle style ones but I prefer the cup style as I do a lot of swimming with the kids and don't want a boob going astray. Decisions!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/08/2015 10:07

Morning!

novice all sounds fab. I would never think of wearing jewellery with a bikini but I bet you look great. I'm not a sun worshipper though (I've even thought of buying a long sleeved swimsuit this year!) Enjoy! :)

Amber I like the cup style ones better. The design on the triangle ones looks like the sails on a boat to me!

betty I am Blush to admit this but I do not normally do any exercise. I got to week 3 of couch to 5k a few years ago, but other than that I've never run anywhere. I drive to work as well and probably do less than 1000 steps a day. The shame! So thanks for the encouragement all :)

Back in the office today and I'm wearing one of my new Me+Em dresses. It's cut differently to my old ones and is a slightly brighter navy which I like.

BrandyAlexander · 03/08/2015 10:18

Amber that's why you need lots of different bikinis!!!Grin

Blair I am not a sun worshipper, far from it! Currently under the parasol in the shade. Dh is the sun nutter in the family!

Also I meant to say, I have spent been doing laps in our 25m pool the last 2 mornings. Hurrah!!!!!!! Dh says he's proud.Smile

libertychick · 03/08/2015 10:52

Well done novice.

queenc your hols sound so good and you seem to have been away for ages.

shop I suspect DS might be too short. DD is about 112cm.

Marsha holiday countdown week. Hope you don't have too much to do.

Had a good weekend but busy now for next couple of weeks.

libertychick · 03/08/2015 10:56

dry hope all gets sorted for DS today and you get to relax.

Betty those Jonnie B sandals look good. I have my eye on some boots there.

shopafrolic · 03/08/2015 18:06

Evening all
Dry hope you're doing ok
Love a triangle bikini me - you can adjust the tie sides so they don't cut into the flab (or is that just me)
Sounds as though that'll be out for DS this year then - shame.
Nothing new to report fashion wise. Wearing my too big GAP skinnies again and feel lousy in them. It makes me want to bin stuff when it doesn't fit well.....
Blair other than my Pilates class I may well be the laziest person on here.....don't steal my crown Grin

OP posts:
libertychick · 03/08/2015 19:00

Hmmmm don't they fall off in the pool though shop...

libertychick · 03/08/2015 19:01

And v annoying re your skinnies. I hate it too when jeans / trousers go baggy.

Drywhiteplease · 03/08/2015 19:30

Oh all the holidays sound fab and I'm getting excited about ours now whispers I heard about a heatwave next week but not sure it's just someone being nice

It's been another manic day....and now I have to inject my own child ShockShockShock,...
Personally o like the cup bikini bras but I haven't worn a bikini for at least 25 years Shock so hardly an expert
queenC which Boden cardi style do you think would be best for me? I like them nice and fitted. The cropped?

shopafrolic · 03/08/2015 19:59

To be fair Lib I haven't worn one since having DS....

OP posts:
QueenCardigan · 03/08/2015 20:48

Evening. dry ive never tried the cropped as they're not good for me but amber has one. I've just got a normal one but it's generous sizing and could probably go down a size. I think I have an 8 but would possibly go down to a 6 next time.

BrandyAlexander · 03/08/2015 20:53

Noooo! Dry and Shop, you're both seriously foxy women. You should definitely wear bikinis! I wore a triangle bikini today. Learned again, that they are a bad idea if you go to a water park and want the boobs to stay discreetly tucked away. Yes, I flashed half the resort!Blush

I am trying out this necklace today. Love it with my Mango red and white stepped dress.

shopafrolic · 03/08/2015 22:34

Oh I wear bikinis Novice just not a triangle one recently.......
Love that necklace.

Dry hope your DS is ok and can go home soon.

Liberty, DD1 talks about her friends a bit but says she doesn't miss London at all. Hopefully she will enjoy her new school. Her old school was fantastic. DD2 seems to have forgotten it already! They miss their dad though he will be back before we know it.

Glad you had a good holiday, Fedup.

Holiday sounds fab, Novice.

I ordered a navy Boden jersey shirt to replace an identical one I spilled bleach on, but I am not counting it as a purchase!

Annoying about the jeans, Shop, mine are a 28 and haven't stretched, I think you need that size.
