Morning. Just enjoying a cup of tea in the sun before it ridiculously warms up. Villa and pool are lovely and the kids are having so much fun. Wifi is a bit patchy but I'm glad we have it!
dry hope you and ds ok.

MyVegasBaby · 26/07/2015 08:03

Sound lovely Queen, have a great time.

libertychick · 26/07/2015 09:12

Browsing Matches sale...

Useful MiH sweater

Love these Thakoon trousers

Good DVF work skirt

I really like this Carven dress Can't justify it though

Morning all - have a good Sunday!

Fedupnagging · 26/07/2015 09:23

Dry how awful for your ds - he'll be gutted he can't play for the next season and 16yo's that need exercise but cant is not a good combination! Bit of a nightmare for you too so hugs for you.

Also Dry don't keep us in suspenders! what was the suprise gift?

Queen and Stokey, all sounds fab - the thermometer in our garden is saying 40degrees already so am sitting in the shade.

Novice am Shock at your holiday packing Wink

Amber what did you finally decide to wear yesterday?

Marsha sounds like you and dh had a fab day yesterday.

I have done some holiday shopping and picked up one of these bags for a song from the local market. Don't need it at all but love these straw baskets and my last one fell apart a few years ago.

Fedupnagging · 26/07/2015 09:26

Oh and I'm not ignoring all the links - I am just struggling to open them! We have wifi but it's patchy - took me several attempts to post my previous post grrrrr!

BrandyAlexander · 26/07/2015 09:41

Morning! Loving the posts from Stokey, FedUp and Stokey from their holiday destinations!Smile

I laughed very loudly when my lovely Lib called me a loon for my holiday packing. That's when you know you're good friends.GrinGrin

Quick questions, going to a wedding today and they have asked for contributions to honeymoon in lieu of gifts. Does one give cash in the envelope or cheque? And also all 4 of us are going. Dh suggested £100, is that okay? Seems light to me.

Clothes wise. It's such a crappy day! What on earth will I wear?!! I will be recycling, don't know why as I didn't feel like getting anything new. dh said he was worried about me.HmmGrin

BrandyAlexander · 26/07/2015 09:54

Lib love all your links. Like the necklace by my packing buddy Wink MVB though way too chunky for me! Also loved the flamingo top, and definitely the rockstuds.

Ujjayi · 26/07/2015 10:18

MVB - another pair?! Enjoy your holiday. Love the necklace. You've just reminded me that I have a similar one but in turquoise so will put it in the packing pile.

QueenC & FedUp sounds like you are both having blissful mornings.

Love the links Novice. Especially the Carven dress. Re - wedding gift, I would say £100 is fine and yes, in an envelope. I would stick with a chq rather than cash. Weather is atrocious here so hope it is better at the wedding location.

More sewing today for me. One more dress & a top to make.

Have a great Sunday all.

libertychick · 26/07/2015 10:33

Grin at novice. Hard to know what to give for the honeymoon contribution. For me would depend on how close I am to the couple. So for a work colleaguecolleague where I was just going to evening reception probably about £50. Good friends, going to full event then £100 maybe bit more if feeling rich or if they had provided free bar etc I would put in more on the basis that I would have spent it on booze otherwise. Definitely cheque. Cards can easily go missing. Let us know what you wear.

BrandyAlexander · 26/07/2015 13:21

Thanks Ujj and Lib, took your advice and went with your advice and did £100 cheque. Ugh, I hate writing cheques, I really need to open a bank account that doesnt screech knob as soon as you see the cheque. Thanks for the reminder to cash for the bar! Grin

Outfit. So I went to the bit of my dressing room for cocktail, wedding and ball gowns and found this dress that I had never worn. Accessories are Aspinal Hepburn bag, Joseph Azagury nude sandals (heeled). Bling is Hermes heure diamond watch. Elizabeth Cole bracelet and Searovski multi coloured crystal ring.

MarshaBrady · 26/07/2015 17:06

I know it's hard just seeing the clothes but any preference between tweed jacket, dark grey belted smoking jacket and linen forest green t? Al Isabel Marant Etoile - have a voucher I need to spend.

MN Vogue - volume 61
libertychick · 26/07/2015 18:04

Love the grey one Marsha. Did you buy?

MarshaBrady · 26/07/2015 18:05

Do you mean dark grey Lib?

Couldn't decide, outside store.

libertychick · 26/07/2015 18:13

Yes. Dark grey one in middle.

libertychick · 26/07/2015 18:15

Lovely dress novice. So want a browse around your wardrobe some day.

shopafrolic · 26/07/2015 18:22

Love the tweed for you Marsha

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 26/07/2015 20:24

love everything about these looks

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 26/07/2015 21:01

Me too. I'm going back to get something. I've decided I do want it to be Marant / Etoile, looks really good this season.

bettykt · 26/07/2015 21:07

Just had a quick catch up and very Envy at those of you on your hols. Non stop rain here and cold with it. So typical since I've just gone and bought another pair of Boden shorts - in white. Haven't bought anything in the sales, I haven't look so haven't been tempted. I'm saving myself for a/w.

The middle jacket for me Marsha

Saw that Tamara Ecclestone got her daughter some baby Rockstuds Hers are in white.

shopafrolic · 26/07/2015 21:16

I think the collar on the middle one is too big for you Marsha - which did you like the most?

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 26/07/2015 21:25

Marsha I like the one on the right. Did you buy one?

Good grief...I'm camping tomorrow Shock in the north Shock an its tipping it down Sad .....have packed 2 bottles of champagne Grin .....I am doing this for my DD, I do NOT CAMP! unless it is "glam ping"

bettykt · 26/07/2015 21:28

What's the weather forecast for tomorrow Dry? Hope the rain stops, a friend of mine was camping this weekend, I think she came home early. How is your DS?

libertychick · 26/07/2015 21:58

I clicked on the baby rockstud link fully expecting to be revolted but instead find myself wondering if I should get some for DD Blush Confused DH would go mad

Betty well done on your sales restraint.

Marsha the Marant look is v you. Go for it! I like the tweed jacket but isn't it a bit like a Vanessa Bruno one you bought and never really wore?

Drywhiteplease · 26/07/2015 22:02

Betty heavy rain both days hope my tent is waterproof [worried face] and might be challenging getting it up in the rain Shock

DS is fine. Great with crutches. Thank goodness it's happened during the school holidays, that we are staying in the UK for our holiday and that we put a big walk in shower in our extension.

bettykt · 26/07/2015 22:26

Dry phew, what good coincidences. Do you still have to go if it rains, can you bail out? You can tell I'm a wuss re: camping. I don't mind camping but it has to be dry, but not too hot, and there must be heated shower blocks too!
