I've been in hospital with DS for short of 24hrs.
It had to happen eventually.

Rugby training+66kg+16yr old nutter=dislocated ankle fractured in 3 places/no rugby for the next season/total disaster.

DH away+SIL visiting+ injured teenager=slightly stressed

DH back +surprise present/totally off piste=beyond stress just give up,curl into small ball,have bubble bath,cry.

Have just had the best EVER glass of red wine.may finish bottle

I adore our local hospital and the lovely people who work there. I want to marry a paramedic, they are total heroes and fulfilled a lifelong ambition of riding in an ambulance with siren and blue light.

We've arrived and have wi-fi, hoorah. 9.30 at night and it's still 33 outside, so if you're still reading QueenC or MVB, I definitely didn't need my emergency trousers, socks & think it may even be too hot for denim shorts. And don't know if evening dresses will get worn either.

Glad you've arrived safely Stokey and wifi a bonus. I haven't packed any socks or trousers (no room!) but am expecting similar temperatures.
Packing pretty much done and it all fits, went ahead with my spray tan earlier so will see how that looks in the morning. So far so good and no biscuit smell which is a bonus!

Yikes, poor DS dry, hope he gets some macho points from his mates for this!

Wedding to go to today - still not sure what to wear, am ignoring the issue by going to spin class!

MVB what brand of spray tan did you go for? Be interested to hear how it fades/blends with natural tan. I may apply a few layers of St Tropez gradual tanner before wednesday just to take the edge off the brilliant white

Wore my new shoes last night - the ones inspired by the Marant Leos. They are so comfy. I'm finding I wear flats for evening more through the summer.

More sewing today...am finally feeling excited for my hols!

Well that was brutal, but 900 calories in the bank which I fully intend to squander on champagne!

I find I prefer flats in the summer too Ujj, heels all the way today which I will regret at about 6pm, no doubt. If I was 5ft9 or over I don't think I'd ever wear heels.

Dh and I are having the most indulgent day. Poolside in the sunshine. Ignoring the odd scatty cloud. Dh nearly bailed on me as he said was too cold. Never. Have faith!

second flamingo bag is a hit, love it and the pineapple cardigan is also a winner. i've not bought much this season but i do love what i have bought. really looking forward to more wintery colours coming back in store though as all these pastels and delicate coral colours do nothing for me at all

Going to buy some new perfume at the airport, I like quite heady/musky and not floral perfumes. Any suggestions??
