Imgoing to get some after work. It can't work. But I'm willing to try. (After the disappointment of the clarins thing )

Place marking to read later

I love the clarins oil thing! I am v pale though...

AnonyMusty · 22/06/2015 00:20

Tried the darker blue St Tropez can of mousse today (having been disappointed with the minimal effect of the shower gel on my naturally v pale skin).
Much better. None of this standing in the cold business.
Bit of an obvious tinge on my feet so I'll be moisturising them better next time. But I'm
So impressed that I'll DIY my tan more often now.

Misslgl88 · 22/06/2015 07:27

So far I am quite impressed, I am starting to take on a lovely sun kissed glow after 4 days but I have used over half the tube already so will probably not continue with it at £14 a bottle and go back to my garnier summer body which is cheaper to replace

Vivacia · 22/06/2015 08:17

I've stopped using it before the end of bottle one as my skin got really dry. I'm not saying it anything to do with the Saint Tropez (or the Cocoa Brown I used once), but I've never had dry skin before.

mrsdavidbowie · 22/06/2015 08:21

Well I used StT gradual tan on legs and they are orange.
That's going in the bin.

noddyholder · 22/06/2015 08:24

I don't like the colour of St tropez I can spot it a mile off in the street too orange esp the gradual Try cocoa brown it's a flatter brown colour not bright like St t or if you like gradual decleor is best I've tried but expensive

Jakadaal · 22/06/2015 09:43

Day 1 after first application and apart from an orange so lodge on my ankle no visible difference. Having used St Tropez in the past am very disappointed. Think I will be going back to Back to the Garnier gradual tan

Jakadaal · 22/06/2015 09:43

frankietwospots · 22/06/2015 12:00

I noticed a real difference after about the third application, so keep going! You've got the bottle now so you may as well.

Fabellini · 22/06/2015 14:29

I'm going to have a shower and use this in a minute....I've got to put on make up and go out afterwards. What about perfume? I'd normally put a couple of sprays on my. Neck, and one each wrist, will that affect tan d'you think?

Vivacia · 22/06/2015 14:41

I've continued to wear make up and perfume and not noticed any problems.

Fabellini · 22/06/2015 14:59

Jolly good. Right, I'm off for a shower. Will be interesting to see how it lathers - we have lovely soft highland water - which is why I need fake tan, lots of the lovely soft water is falling from the skies....seemingly endlessly this summer.

TealFanClub · 25/06/2015 19:33

I finished mine and binned. I won't buy again.

indyandlara · 27/06/2015 13:40

Just bought it. Going to try tonight! Hopefully not orange in the morning.

ginmakesitallok · 01/07/2015 12:17

Finally found a single solitary tube in local boots. Off in a minute to try it, after my cup of coffee. Oooooo the excitement! I have typical Irish blue skin......

MrsMcGregor · 02/07/2015 18:34

I did a patch test on my arm last night and can only see the subtlest of difference. I just wet my arm and rubbed it on, then rinsed off after 3 mins ... read upping this thread, maybe I should have worked it into a lather?

Who feels like sharing their top tips for successful application please? Smile

ginmakesitallok · 02/07/2015 19:45

I've used it twice now, very subtle! It's taken the blue glare off my legs, but I'll need to use it a few more times before it's dark enough. Agree it's more sun kissed than tanned.

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 03/07/2015 00:18

Instyle magazine this month comes with a freebie bottle of this

wildone81 · 03/07/2015 10:03

is it supposed to lather? I've been using it on and off but it's never lathered - just goes on like thick body lotion...............

Vivacia · 04/07/2015 18:01

The only lathering I remember being aware of is on their promotional video. Did anyone else get it lathering up?

OvertiredandConfused · 04/07/2015 19:38

I've done my first application this afternoon. Aiming to do the second in the morning - is that a long enough gap?

Vivacia · 04/07/2015 20:45

Yes, I can't see why not.

bluebump · 04/07/2015 20:51

The Instyle magazine with the freebie of this is only £2.50 rather than £3.99 if you buy it in Tesco by the way. I got a copy yesterday and i'm giving it a first try now!

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 07/07/2015 19:16

As usual i'm very late to the party, bought 3 tubes while its on offer in Boots. Its bleddy marvellous! Used it last night (it was warm enough to stand about for the 3 mins) and this morning I had an even glowing hint of sun from a tube. While I'm pall skinned I'm not blue, anyone with a hint of colour it may not be so good for as its quite subtle. Reapplied it tonight so fingers crossed its a deeper colour still by the morning.
