I have the same problem with it not lathering as I'm also in a very hard water area. After 3 uses the best I can say is I'm not ghostly white which is a bit disappointing.

We have very hard water and whilst it doesn't lather, the only problem that I've had is a slight disappointment with the colour change. Although after a few applications I've now got a nice glow.

I'll use these 3 bloody tubes up but won't buy again
I've used normal on my face today and results are much more gratifying

I've bought some Cocoa Brown on the recommendation of this thread and will try that on my stubbornly white bum and thighs the next time I'm holed up in a hotel room for work.

Just found this thread after buying three tubes of this today, and applying it tonight.

No you won't Tequila! I've never used a fake tan before and I got on just fine. I only used it on my legs as that is where I need some colour. I have a wedding to go to soon and I'm wearing a dress. I don't want horrible bluey white legs on show. It's a very subtle colour though. Two applications have given my legs a light golden glow.

Thanks Heman, I used it on arms, legs, neck and face. I'm very white/blue so hoping for a subtle colour.

You might need to do two applications Tequila it is very subtle! But absolutely no streaks or patchy bits. I would leave a day between applications as I'm sure it develops over that time. Don't do it again in the morning if you haven't got as much colour as you would like and you're as scared of fake tan as I am! It's taken that bluey whiteness off my legs so I feel confident enough to get them out. The rest of my body will tan just not my legs .

You're right, I hardly even noticed. I was expecting to wake up looking bronzed like Pamela Anderson on Baywatch. Still, at least I'm not orange

I think I'll give it a miss tonight and apply again tomorrow night.

I used it twice and only on my legs. I can see where I need to exfoliate a bit more but the two applications give just enough colour on my legs not to make them look so blue. A bit more practice and they may look ok!

Finally bought some today and have applied my first lot. At the moment there is no tell-tale smell. I rarely tan and have a bluey-pink skin tone so I'd love it to work. I'm a bit dubious as the St Torpez gradual face tanner does absolutely nothing! Fingers crossed.

Woke up hoping to see a slight colour at least, but no, nothing. Can't even smell fake tan. Going in for a second go tonight.

Just be patient Napoleon It develops over quite a long time. I've only used it 3 times in a week and I have colour. I think it's quite a fair persons brown, you're never going to be Michelle Keegan
