I can think of better adverts Confused

Flyinggeese21 · 03/06/2015 22:09

I haven't read the whole thread but there are only positive glowing quotes used in the ad!

indecisivedoctor · 03/06/2015 22:11

Ok.. So on the basis of this thread I have purchased so felt ought to come back with feedback..

Only used once- second application going on tonight.. So far, so brilliant. Seems to give different people's skin different results. Although i have skin which tends to tan fairly well, I am pale at the moment. ( thank you 18mo dd). It has given me a lovely subtle colour on one application but certainly enough to get my pins out..

No streaks- only teeny orange bit on hairy odd patch on top of big toes. Will exfoliate off. Otherwise totally even.

Unlike others I actually did find it has the biscuit odour but I can live with that.

Highly recommended. Give it a try. ( oh yeh- the 3 mins in the shower is chilly, I did pelvic floor exercises to pass the time Hmm).

Vivacia · 03/06/2015 22:13

Ha! I want them to put that on their YouTube video!

CMP69 · 04/06/2015 07:42

Hmm can't decide if I am less white. I'm definitely not brown and there is a fake tan smell but not bad. Will put another coat on tonight. What's all this about the advert?

Madeyemoodysmum · 04/06/2015 08:13

This is a test patch left in all night. Not washed off. So it works! Trying it properly today. Will be washing off!

Saint tropez shower. I'm going in

I think someone mention up thread about nail staining. I'm a week in and liking it a lot but I've noticed this morning my nails are yellow Sad I not liking the look.
Anyone else have this or a solution?

Pumpkinette · 04/06/2015 08:55

patter Nail polish? Grin

indecisivedoctor · 04/06/2015 08:57

Patter I found this a bit so on second app I used a baby wipe to clean my palms and also my nails..

Vivacia · 04/06/2015 10:54

madeye did you just let the lather dry on you, or did you pat it off with the towel?

Madeyemoodysmum · 04/06/2015 11:56

I just rubbed a blob on and left it overnight. It looks like I'm wearing a plaster.

Madeyemoodysmum · 04/06/2015 15:10

First proper go this afternoon. Had a swim and did it at the pool shower. It's very quiet at my pool. Private showers. Easy to apply but it stings yes and they still hurt now.

Taste was ok I thought. Waiting to see now. Exciting! Slight smell but I've put perfume on to hide it.

sleepingdog · 04/06/2015 15:13

I have been using this for about a week. It works. Lovely golden glow - no streaks, no orange. It's fab. One problem - an expensive habit!

DosDuchas · 04/06/2015 17:13

there is NO WAY I would get the colour like in that photo

Madeyemoodysmum · 04/06/2015 20:58

6 hours from application and I can smell that fake tan smell. I do have a light colour already and no streaks. I think will use twice a week just to keep and light summer glow and the real sun will top up hopefully. Think only worth buying in a deal or offer though.

Howaboutthisone · 05/06/2015 19:43

I was a bit dubious but I'm now reasonably pleased. Two applications and I have a subtle but definitely there change in colour. And it's not at all orange! It stung my eyes like crazy and the taste (don't ask!) was horrendous. l was originally disappointed with the smell but on reflection I'm impressed. Yes- after putting it on in shower in the evening the smell gets gradually stronger in the night. But when I get up there's no smell of it left. That's pretty impressive!
I think if I was after a full on tan this probably wouldn't be my choice but as a subtle glow is more realistic for me, I really like it!
I agree it could become an expensive habit!

Vivacia · 06/06/2015 07:36

I agree, over a week in and there's a subtle glow. No streaks. I think I'd go for something stronger for the poolside, and won't keep paying for this once I've used up my 3 bottles.

DosDuchas · 06/06/2015 11:28

consenus is it is overpriced and slightly underpowered for some of us then?

altho formula is good

CMP69 · 06/06/2015 11:50

I'm pleased. I've only used it twice and I definitely have colour. I only want enough to get my legs out if we ever get any sun. I'm also only doing legs, arms and chest as that's all anyone sees unless I'm abroad. That makes it more cost effective too. I think 2/3 applications a week would be enough to keep my legs from blinding people Grin

Pumpkinette · 07/06/2015 14:45

I used it for the first time yesterday and appear to be the exact same colour today - except my knuckles. They have a little bit of brown Pleased to report no soggy biscuit smell so I suppose that's something. I just hope I have a bit of colour by Monday evening as I'm going to a wedding reception and don't want to dazzle people with my day glow white legs.

Madeyemoodysmum · 07/06/2015 23:01

Three applications and I'm a nice golden brown. Not too dark just as if I'd spent a lot of time in the garden. I like it. No smell its slight but now I hardly notice.

I'm going to use twice a week from now on to keep this colour going. No streaks or orange patches. I think the trick is not the application but the washing off to make sure there are no patches.

If it helps. I'm dark blond with brown eyes and do tan but with a tendency to burn until a base tan achieved. Maybe it depends on your skin as to how it works?

Pumpkinette · 08/06/2015 01:43

Well I take it back. I went for my shower this evening and can see I have definitely changed colour. I've gone a light golden. It's similar to result I get from the dove gradual tanner. Hopefully by tomorrow evening I will be a bit darker.

greenbottleglass · 08/06/2015 15:16

Just watched the YouTube video. I haven't been lathering before applying. I need to do that.

I hate standing in the shower though.

Tried a few bicep curls earlier.

HemanOrSheRa · 08/06/2015 15:26

I'm very pleased with the colour. I've only used it on my legs though. They never, ever get tanned. Now my bottom half matches my top half. A light golden tan from two applications. No streaks at all. I can get my legs out! I may chance an application on my face later.
