I want to spend with you but your offerings are so sore. You can still do your trendy flash in the pan shit, but you would make lots of money if you did:
Cotton round neck cardies in all the colours.
Cotton thick leggings in all the colours
Cotton jersey dresses in different styles in all the colours
Comfortable leather ballet pumps in all the colours
Matching vest and knicker sets in funky patterns
Big boob support nighties and pyjama vest tops.
Go back to having good quality opaque, cotton mix and wool mix tights, I have tights from you that are 5 years old, but this years only lasted 3 washes
I'm your core market, I have money and could be shopping with you for fifty more years.

The 5 pocket jeggings are amazing but why does my local store only ever have them in up to size 16 so as an 18, I have to order them in every bloody time.

I loved the secret support sleep tops they did but this year they're vanished too. I've had to get them from Sainsburys instead.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 15/05/2015 20:23

I'd like good quality, basic t-shirts, long and short sleeved, in a good range of colours and a good range of sizes - up to 30-32, even.

And thick tights designed for people like me - overweight with big tummies - so needing a much bigger top section to the tights, so they don't just roll down immediately.

buggerthebotox · 15/05/2015 20:29

hiccup I love those secret support tops too. Just googled: they are "no longer available". Wtf?

Bunbaker · 15/05/2015 20:33

I was in M and S yesterday and on my receipt was a code so that I could take part in an online survey and give feedback.

I have passed most of the comments on here to M and S, especially about their crap bra fitting "service"

DustBunnyFarmer · 15/05/2015 20:40

Our local M&S is huge and gives me the rage. I've started search online for what I'm after (e.g. black wool cardigan, navy A line skirt) so I can check what it's made of so I can avoid the polyester horrors, what sizes it is available in and which stupid collection it belongs to. It enables me to target the right section of the store to find what I am after and also to be quite focussed with the staff if I can't find it ("I know it exists, I've seen it online"). Same goes for Debenhams. Shopping really shouldn't be this difficult in the 21st century. Thank God for the internet, even if their website is shit, because it saves me a lot of wasted time in store.

I am also disappointed with recent hosiery and if they stop making cotton rich opaques I think I'll give up on them altogether.

For the poster asking about bog standard cotton knicker - John Lewis.

DustBunnyFarmer · 15/05/2015 20:46

They do do 70s style well, whenever it rolls around...

They probably have warehouses of it in Luton or something. They just have to switch out the St Michael labels.

Machine-washable merino round-neck cardigans all year round please.

Try Linea range in House of Fraser - I recently discovered them & they do a really good range of colours.

spanky2 · 15/05/2015 21:07

Sell clothes I can afford to buy! We are a normal income family but the clothes are so expensive.

HenriettaBarnet · 15/05/2015 21:15

I was at the focus group thing a few months ago. The problem is, that of the 15 people in the room, we all wanted different things from M&S. So while I want say cashmere in grey, black, navy, etc, other people wanted waterfall cardigans.

I think that M&S needs to stop listening to everyone and focus on just one customer group - preferably mine.

while it's trying to be all things to all people it won't succeed.

oh and a usable website please.

RingtheBells · 15/05/2015 21:17

Oh the website is terrible, I was trying to read some reviews to find out the fit of something and they wouldn't load at all, so I didn't bother as the sizing is a bit all over the place.

woodhill · 15/05/2015 21:19

loose linen trousers, hip length cotton v neck cardigans in various shades, plain scoop neck t shirts,

easy fabric search so I can avoid non natural fibred clothes and this applies to other sites too. I don't ever want to buy polyester tops

thestylethatdecadesforgot · 15/05/2015 21:41

Yes to most of this! But also, if they have to make everything vanity sized, they need to make smaller sizes. I've seen nice things but they were too big even in the smallest size.

Also, as mentioned, their bra fitting service is absolutely dreadful. I am very small (think almost flat) and the woman was so dismissive and then gave up and told me to try their teenage range and walked off. I was mortified. (Had all the kids with me!)

BlueEyeshadow · 15/05/2015 21:51

Bras that start at a 30 band but go up beyond a DD cup.

motleymop · 15/05/2015 22:06

I just don't understand how they can't get it together. Years they've been desperately trying and then getting it so wrong. How hard can it be??

hiccupgirl · 15/05/2015 22:10

I know buggerthebox. I had loads of those tops but have lost a lot of weight recently. I would happily buy 4 or 5 but no, they've stopped making them.

scampidoodle · 15/05/2015 22:18

Skirts in a range of sizes like they used to do - 18, 21 or 24 inch for shorter skirts etc. I don't know who you think shops in M&S for a 16 inch skirt... And please put the length of skirts and dresses on the website instead of telling me how tall the model is.

scampidoodle · 15/05/2015 22:18

I meant a range of lengths...

Viviennemary · 15/05/2015 22:19

I usually get a few new tshirts every summer. They had a colour I wanted but only a huge pile of size 8 and one size 24 and nothing in between. Shorts I wanted didn't have in my size either. This year it's worse than ever. What is the matter with them. Something is far wrong with their stock ordering. And the website is unusable.

Pipbin · 15/05/2015 22:20

Cotton round neck cardies in all the colours.
Cotton thick leggings in all the colours

Exactly this. I want to buy both of those things.

And by all the colours I'm thinking light and dark blue, light and dark green, black, white, pink, yellow, red for the cardies.
Black, white, brown, light grey and dark grey for the leggings.

Pipbin · 15/05/2015 22:23

Oh and I own loads of vest that need replacing but they've stopped doing them. Plain vest with spaghetti straps and a band of lace across the top.

Pipbin · 15/05/2015 22:23

Please and thank you.

motleymop · 15/05/2015 22:24

I agree vivienne but you're lucky to find size 8's. usually starts at size 22 as far as I can see. The whole thing is a mess!

FatAli · 15/05/2015 22:24

I wouldn't want any of the OP's list either.

But I would like nice non padded bras. It seems to me that almost every bra in there has moulded cups.

Also, stop doing 2 packs of bras involving a white one. Does anyone under the age of 70 wear white bras anymore?

Outwith · 15/05/2015 22:28

I wear white bras Grin under white tops.
