AurigaSmile DS was just cross-questioning me about who I was there with, but when I mentioned where you live, he seemed to think you must be OK then as he has played footy thereGrin

CremoGrin at your DH. Glad to hear your DD is OK.

Molly, that was a canny moveWink And let me know when you can do a BP MU - I am always happy to meet in my favourite park!
And I too would be happy to travel up to Norf L for a walk - DH and I spent a good deal of time on Hamstead Heath in our first year togetherSmile

I am now intrigued and want to read Alys, Always and Her. Which is good as I need to do more reading!

cremolafoam · 10/05/2015 21:02

Good call Molly. I have this minute wrapped a red cross parcel with Oreos and Bourbons ( vegan apparently ) and a shed load of those checked £1 wash load bags to help her move stuff into storage.
None of these things were thought about needless to say. Loves young dream.Confused
Wriggly eyebrows oooooooooo boke Rudy

My father spent the latter three months of my pregnancy trying to convince me not to name Ds Arkboy..... He failed....

Loving this stuff - surely there is a book in here :)

MollyAir · 10/05/2015 21:10

You can borrow them both from me, BTM - handover in BP!

motherinferior · 10/05/2015 21:13

I actually almost like Alys, Always more. (I have a horrible feeling I am just like the narrator.)

Rudy, words fail me again.

As they do about your MIL, Rose.

Have made friends again with DD1 over the Latin.

bigTillyMint · 10/05/2015 21:21

LOL at your DD Rudy! What did she suddenly need a laptop for?!

When I was pregnant with DD, DMIL kept pestering about names so DH said that if it was a boy we were going to call him Adolf. She actually said, "Oh that's nice" Luckily she was a girl!

Molly, I'll take you up on that!

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/05/2015 21:38

My mother wanted me to give the DDs family names: Minna, Frieda, Elsa, Aydel or Johanna. Confused

lalsy · 10/05/2015 21:40

Crem and Molly, glad your dc all perky.

Auriga · 10/05/2015 21:47

BTM if I need to convince someone I live in a respectable neighbourhood I'll try to drop in to the conversation somewhere that your DS has played footy here Grin

I'm getting the eyelash fluttering and can you just explain again why it's okay for you to go and meet some random off the Internet (I did mention that there's nothing random about you, BTM)

CointreauVersial · 10/05/2015 22:13

DS has just arrived home from dinner out with GF's family. He survived a light grilling from GF's older brothers, but spent the drive home with his buttocks clenched, desperate for a fart. Grin He kept up a running commentary of texts to DH about his predicament throughout the journey. Grin Grin

motherinferior · 10/05/2015 22:28

I frequently get that. Your friends who came to your party.

motherinferior · 10/05/2015 22:29

CV, I feel his pain Grin. It's one of the joys of working from home.

I am having a series of dreadful hot flushes. I do hope it's short-lived.

In this house, internet friends = imaginary friends. DD2 said to me in some disgust, "I thought MI was a real friend of yours, like someone you had met through work, not an imaginary friend from the internet."

MontserratCaballe · 11/05/2015 06:59

We are now happily nit free Smile

I think I will get both of those books on my kindle for my holidays this week. Only 3 more sleeps. I have had a pedi and today am booked for a mani to get me ready. Today is the first Monday when I haven't had work today. Why do my 3 days always spin into 4? I have already sent a slightly shirty email about work this morning though, so I can keep up with the progress of that one remotely.

Loving the fart updates, the names and the imaginary friends. As most of us are on FB, we have already proved we are not hairy arsed truckers. I still haven't met anyone in person though. Can I tempt anyone to a mini meet in Russell Sq in June?

Right, I'd better get up and get dressed for the Tesco man due in 2 mins. I don't think he'd appreciate my pyjama clad wobbliness. Back later.

Good luck to crepey offspring with exams today. Thinking of them all, and their longsuffering mamas FlowersWineSmile

beachyhead · 11/05/2015 07:12

Excellent news, Monty...

I had a disastrous weekend with dd2 and have had to cancel a major treat Hmm She is very trying at times.... Quite pleased to be out of the house for the next two days, although all the Americans are over, so stresses there too... Need somewhere to hide sometimes!

The Ikea nightmare is over, finally. Something to be thankful for. Added bonus is that dd1's final piece is going to be on corrugated cardboard - got loads of that now!

Glad your dd has been in contact, Crem. Will you get to meet the mystery man, even via Skype?

cremolafoam · 11/05/2015 07:20

Monty I might be persuaded into a June MU in central London.
Hope you have a lovely Holiday and your toes are perky and neat,

I am running away to Germany with a friend next week. It can't come soon enough.

Good luck to all sat testing, gcse sitting , A level suffering and Uni exam stressing this week. And also to us as we mop up the strain.
Cake and Wine

bigTillyMint · 11/05/2015 07:23

Could the June MU stretch from a lunch to an evening stint?! So those of us who don't work, or even have a lunch-hour, can come too?!

DD is up and I am feeling very nervous!

Rosebag · 11/05/2015 08:24

Grin CV…at least DS hasn't had (and won't have!!!) any babies…and can actually hold it in….
Lovely, Monty…nothing like a Pedi to get you into the holiday mood! I will be easily temped to (day time, particularly) meet ups in June…I am on the verge of having a course cancelled and will have bugger all work in June and July, it seems.
Bit intrigued to know what Beachy's DD2 has done to deserve severe sanctions…Sorry the weekend has been so trying Flowers
Best of luck to the exam takers today. They are all Star's in their own ways.

herbaceous · 11/05/2015 10:00

What ho crepeys. Feeling rather delicate today after the excesses of yesterday. Four bottles of red between four at lunchtime is not a good idea.

I'd be up for a meet up either day or evening – or, indeed both – in June. My lectures at the IoE actually stop in a couple of weeks, but I dare say I'll need to ensconce myself in the library pretty solidly to get my assignments done.

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/05/2015 10:24

I can do a central London meet up, with a bit of notice. Smile

DD2 said there is a new girl in her class, that she has been buddying. She asked her why she had left her old school and the girl said "I did bad things in my science class that I am not allowed to talk about." Said very seriously, apparently, and changed the subject immediately. WTF?

MollyAir · 11/05/2015 10:57

Good lord, MrsS, surely this girl's appointed buddy needs to be fore-warned - set something/someone alight? Made a bomb? The mind boggles...

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/05/2015 11:06

DD2 says she is "odd". She says she is happy to buddy her, but doesn't think they will be friends, and is slightly nervous about the science thing - I asked DD2 if she thought the girl was joking, and she said, not at all. Confused

In other non-style and beauty news, my other cat, who is usually a clean, gentlemanly boy, has just peed on the carpet in the sitting room. I don't really like my life very much at the moment.
