I like those, Noddy. It's only camo trousers that I object to - find them a bit 8 year old boy. I have camo tights - they are disgusting, but I wear them sometimes just because I can!

noddyholder · 05/04/2015 12:13

I wouldn't wear the trousers but I do like them

ElizabethHoover · 05/04/2015 12:52

Love shorts. Red though. So hard to match. Made that mistake before.
Remember those shoes nod. Weren't they ultra bargains?

RonaldMcDonald · 05/04/2015 13:05

Like the shorts but agree hard to wear? I love shorts
Thought the legs were excellent legs that should wear whatever whenever
Dislike the camo trews
Like the camo shoes but would have disregarded without seeing iykwim?
Where are they from noddy?

BillStickersIsInnocent · 05/04/2015 13:38

Love the shorts too but lined with polyester I think. Maybe could take lining out?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2015 14:05

Are they? Missed that? How stupid.

Dancergirl · 05/04/2015 14:08

I really like this:

www.hush-uk.com/daywear/dresses_skirts/santa_monica_dress_limoges.htm

I got a very nice denim dress from Baujken last year, it was belted and had a v neck so had a bit of shape to it.

Dancergirl · 05/04/2015 14:11

Anyone got a Hush code??

MiddleAgeMiddleEngland · 05/04/2015 14:11

Can I introduce a concept entirely new to me? Never mind the school run, it's the university run which you need to plan for. Your DD or DS will have strong opinions on what you wear when you take them at the start of term or collect them at the end.

Apparently you have to look old enough to be a sensible parent and not be trying to look like a student. On the other hand, you're not allowed to look frumpy Grin It's also got to be practical and comfortable as you will be carrying heavy boxes and bags up and down stairs or in and out of lifts. You may also be spending an hour cleaning the mess left by other flatmates in the kitchen.

Far trickier than the school run imo.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2015 14:16

Dancer - I tried on something similar to that recently. It was the most unflattering garment I have ever had on my body - made me look about a size 22 when I'm actually a 12.

Not had that problem, Middle. Skinnies and Converse seem to cover all bases and not raise the wrath of dd1.

ElizabethHoover · 05/04/2015 14:26

Aha. Dune heels. More sensible at 7.5

Dancer I'd look like a chick in that dress or an Easter egg on legs

Agree re university, I work there twice a month and spend an age wondering what to wear.
Drop offs must be worse x 1000

RonaldMcDonald · 05/04/2015 16:57

I'm going to give [[http://www.allsaints.com/women/dresses/allsaints-calla-shirt-dress/?colour=88&category=22 this]] a whirl
I am concerned it is a bit tabard

BabyGanoush · 05/04/2015 16:58

10% of HUSH with: SMILE10

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 05/04/2015 20:51

Hoover - I ADORE those Dune heels! I want them, but I know I will destroy them, and that's just too sad for such gorgeous shoes.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 05/04/2015 20:56

My parents didn't come to Uni when I was there, but that was in Australia, and I lived in the same city as the uni I went to. Hopefully it will be the same w the DDs - I'm not keen on the idea of forever dropping them off and picking them up. [lazy and selfish]

NigellasGuest · 05/04/2015 20:58

my favourite dress atm

Ronald I like that All Saints dress though it's on the short side... and for me, that colour won't work

lurkingaround · 05/04/2015 21:25

Remus I know you were looking for tan sandals but how about these?. Nice, n'est-ce-pas? Some lovely things on that Finery site.

Lovely grey heels Eliz. Have similar from Office via Belinda, grey buy. So easy to wear. Love the grey.

Chchchchanging · 05/04/2015 21:27

Similar in sainos for £20

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2015 22:00

Lurking - I think somebody posted those earlier iirc.

Pretty - but not at all what I'm after.

Do people wear denim shorts in the summer btw? And, if yes, where from?

ElizabethHoover · 05/04/2015 22:13
