Happy Easter everyone. We're in lull before the storm of third birthday and chocolate overload. I think I'm going to wear my black silk midi dress from & Other stories with a long-sleeved black tee underneath. Good for playing with trainset and Easter egg hunting.

Thanks for the mean man sympathy - he did make me rather angry.

Asia is great that time of year too Karbea, Goa or Thailand? I was just reminiscing yesterday about going back to India in Easter holidays as a teenager and how glorious the weather always was.

Or closer to home, Turkey, Greece or Spain? You'd get all the spring flowers coming out. Envious of the pre-children holiday choices.

Ellisisland · 05/04/2015 11:28

Happy Easter all Easter Grin DS doesn't eat chocolate so me and DH are having to eat all the eggs he got. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

QueenC it wasn't that heavy at all. I felt like I should glide everywhere because it was so lovely ! The only problem was because it was borrowed I was paranoid about someone spilling anything on it. I kept everyone at arms length all evening !

BrandyAlexander · 05/04/2015 11:32

Happy Easter everyone!!!

Just had a frantic 30 minutes while the dcs did their Easter Egg Hunt around the house. It's all peaceful now.Smile

Marsha, the Easter bunny comes while we are at church and first clue is usually on the porch floor as we walk in through the front door. (Translation: This involves a military style operation to get the clues and presents in place. This year with each clue there were 2 plastic eggs, 1 filled with sweets and the other filled with a little toy like you find in christmas crackers. At the end of the hunt they each find a basket with presents. I was seriously effing and blinding at midnight as I was sneaking round the house getting everyone in place.Grin)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/04/2015 13:25

Happy Easter everyone, hope you and your DCs are all having fun days! Easter egg hunts sound fab Easter Smile No eggs for us, DP had a bit of a sulk that I forgot to buy him the one he asked for - not like I've had anything else on my mind! - and I'm not bothered about chocolate really.

Gorgeous dress ellis, I too am a lover of Elie Saab, my namesake wore it for her wedding Grin

The countdown is on and I've got my fingers firmly crossed in anticipation of the weather, having seen the forecast for the week! Today and tomorrow is loose ends (first dance song, download music, decide order of speeches and write my speech!) then Tuesday is waxing Blush, Wednesday nails, Thursday packing for the weekend, and on Friday I will pick up my dress.

Getting excited now so I think a name change is in order Grin

Easter Grin
libertychick · 05/04/2015 14:14

Oh your excitement is just fantastic Blair. Great name change. Hope you have a wonderful week (2 panadol 20 mins before waxing on Tues) full of great memories. I must remember to buy a mini bottle of bubbles to toast you with next weekend Easter Smile

BrandyAlexander · 05/04/2015 14:29

Oooh that's a good idea Lib! Blair, yup definitely up for toasting you next weekGrin awesome name change!

I would like to echo what Lib said. The week leading up to getting married was one of the most wonderful weeks of my life. I wish all of that and more for you. x

Ellisisland · 05/04/2015 14:45

I remember that episode Blair Grin love the name change and hope you have a fantastic week. Not long to go!

BlairWaldorfIsGettingMarried · 05/04/2015 15:08

Aha a fellow fan! (Or at least viewer) Grin Ellis

The action starts at 3pm, but feel free to toast at multiple points (ceremony ends 3.30, speeches 7pm, first dance 8pm!) - I'd love to think of you all drunk on bubbles in my honour! Can't wait to see QueenC's dresses board either.

We've just done a list of songs to "inspire" our DJ (who is a friend of my sister's DP) which was really fun. So getting in the mood now.

I can't remember if I said, but my dress fitting on Wed was just amazing, I couldn't believe how perfectly it fitted! Didn't take pictures as I wanted to be the only one who'd seen it before the day.

In other shopping news I tried the Massimo Dutti sandals and they were too narrow for my feet. They are stunning though so I hope someone else buys them!

shopafrolic · 05/04/2015 15:43

I'm all packed :)
Have a wonderful wonderful wedding day Blair. It rained when we got married but it dried up enough for photos and we didn't even notice TBH. I will raise a glass to you (probably at the wrong time because of the time difference but the thought will be there) on Saturday. Enjoy all the build up, and on the day, stop every once in a while and take a look around. So rare to have everyone you love in one place. Every happiness to you both. xxx

Oh Blair I'm so excited! Also have a bottle of fizz ready, may even put my hat on Grin. The only advice I can give is to stop at one point and tak it all in. The day goes so quickly. I did this when I turned round at the top of the church after saying our vows, just before we walked down the isle. 17 yrs later I can still see everyone's faces in the church. Best day of my life.

shop you're going to have such an amazing time. Bon voyage !

Karbea · 05/04/2015 17:37

dry I was going to say something similar! at some point in the day just take 5mins where you and your dh go for a walk or just stop and take it all in, you'll be so busy talking to everyone else make sure you spend a little time just the two of you.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 05/04/2015 18:15

Im back home clothes shopping didnt really happen, we spent this morning in the V&A (im a big William Morris fan). Managed to get myself some nike wedge trainers and a chanel lipstick in bonheur. Nothing else really caught my eye as im after a dress for the wedding but all the dresses i saw were in the colours i should avoid (pale yellows).

I second the advice on taking 5 minutes just to take in the wedding it flues by so fast. DH and I sat outside watching a local cricket match for 15 minutes at our wedding it was bliss just us alone to catch our breaths.

Topazandpearl · 05/04/2015 18:37

How exciting Blair, yes, do enjoy this week and have a wonderful day. As the others have said, it will fly by. I will be toasting you too.

That dress is amazing Ellis, I'm sure you looked fantastic.

Well done on all the packing Shop. Have a great holiday.

I am having a lovely relaxing day with DH and DCs (both home for Easter). Tomorrow we will be back to sprucing up house for putting it on the market so no style news here.
