Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2015 17:03

Off to a wedding evening do in an hour.........do I do dress or skinnies, heels and top? Really not fancying opaques and it's too chilly for bare legs.

LinusDKD · 28/03/2015 17:16

Dress dry!

I wore one today with opaques as it was quite chilly today.

novice please do let me know next time you're over here and have time for a coffee! Would love to meet up with you.

shop I got the tee today, thanks so much. Will try it on later.

Sloe G&T again for me tonight. Yum!

libertychick · 28/03/2015 17:18

Skinnies seem a bit informal for a wedding dry. What about cropped trousers with heels, top etc?

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2015 17:22

I am with the others - dress rather than skinnies Dry. Bet you look fab.Smile

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2015 17:24

Ok dress it is more me anyway .......now, which one? Hmm

libertychick · 28/03/2015 17:31

Tell us the short list dry.

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2015 17:38

My Wistles Bella dress....blues and greens, short sleeves, vest potential. Always feel great in it.
My favourite LBD, exposed shoulders, gold zip, fab necklace to go with. Also feel great in it.
Both have round necklines which I love, both are very fitted.
Whistles balck suede courts and nude 5denier (should I ? ) with either.

libertychick · 28/03/2015 18:19

Like the sound of the Bella dress. I have been wearing nude tights this week. Essential at this time of year IMO.

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2015 18:40

I love the Bella dress! Think you look great in it.

QueenQueenie · 28/03/2015 18:42

Bernice, Thanks, really like the look of that dress - am going to order it! Bloody cheap too. Haven't bought anything from H and M in living memory - can anyone help me with sizing - do their things tend to be on the small side?

shopafrolic · 28/03/2015 19:53

Evening all. My hairdresser persuaded me to keep growing my hair so he has chopped into it and softened it up a bit so it will be easier to manage on holiday. Had a lovely lunch and then went for my first ever lash lift and tint. Basically they perm your lashes so you don't need eyelash curlers. The effect is impressive - would definitely do it again, will be great for holiday.
Hope you're being spoilt Blair?

libertychick · 28/03/2015 20:26

QueenQueenie I would size up usually in H&M but it can be hit and miss. I often find tops run true to size or big but bottom half generally small.

I'm holding out for a Blair update too but suspect it may be late tomorrow before she emerges Smile

shopafrolic · 28/03/2015 20:26

Dry too late now but the Bella is fab on you

Hello,

Nice one on the h&m denim dress find Bernice and QueenQ, love it when someone finds the right thing for you on here.

I popped briefly into town today and got a pair of ts Jamie jeans with ankle zips plus a bargainous Marni silk top in tk maxx; £40 and love it. Will try & find links later.

Atm am struggling with prep for my (hopefully not over) ambitious salmon for tomorrow. Can't put it in the pastry until tomorrow but the recipe just says 'make it look like a salmon' no more guidance than that. Will use my imagination and hope for the best. Off for champagne now with dh.

Dry have a fab night.

OneLittleLady · 28/03/2015 23:57

hello all

arrived fine in the usa, have been to disney for the first time today and had a great time.have spent the evening out by the pool

love to everyone Smile Smile

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2015 09:21

Wedding evening dos are funny things aren't they?
Wore my black dress in the end....fancied minimal, felt good and glad as 95% of the guests were in floral dresses and nude shoes Hmm. Bride looked so lovely in a 3/4 length strapless gown.

Mara are you having a special lunch today? Salmon sounds good.
Shop love your hairdersser, certainly knows your hair and what suits you.

It's been 4 days since the Botox still early I know but still can't see any change at all Sad keep reminding myself that the woman said it could take a while and won't remove them totally.

shopafrolic · 29/03/2015 09:34

Morning all!
Mara good luck with the salmon today.
Dry evening dos are always strange because all the guests are usually v drunk and it's hard to catch up. Glad you felt good in your dress. Yup - very lucky with my hairdresser - I just do what he tells me really :)
Lash lift results from yesterday really are impressive - would definitely do again. Fingers crossed it lasts.
I downloaded a water drinking alert from another thread for my iPhone. I definitely don't drink anywhere near enough water (usually substitute with tea or wine) so it will be interesting to start doing this.
Horrible rainy day here - not sure what we'll do.

maradesbois · 29/03/2015 09:53

Morning,

One glad all good. Have a fab time.

Dry it will take about 10 days before you notice. Did they ask you to go back for a check up after a couple of weeks? Sometimes it needs topping up but it will be too early to say yet. Am doing salmon en croute in the shape of a fish for big lunch today but slightly concerned have bitten off more than I can chew!

Raining here too, so looking forward to going away at Easter.

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2015 09:55

Have never tried lash lift, will be interested to see what your think Shop.

My personal maintenance is big, anyone else noticing this as they get older?
Hair , waxing, gym, now possibly Botox, reading glasses, forget about clothes and shoes, just being me is expensive Shock Grin

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2015 10:21

mara yes, I have a follow up in 2 weeks.....

BrandyAlexander · 29/03/2015 11:01

Morning all!

Dry I know exactly what you meanGrin being me costs me than it did 10 or 20 years ago!

By some kind of minor modern miracle, I managed to get the dcs out of the house just after 9am, despite not getting to bed till 9pm and the clocks going forward. And it wasn't stressful!Shock My friend told me last week that she's pregnant which is making me all longing for a 3rd child then I think of the first 3 years and I think just be grateful for my 2 monkeys!

Fashion wise I love what I was wearing so much yesterday that really didn't want to take it off last night. Today it's my Michael Kors breton with j crew matchsticks and j crew cashmere top in blue over it. Happy days.Smile

Karbea · 29/03/2015 11:33

Morning all,

I still feel poo. In bed so wearing a Ralph Lauren blue and white Breton vest and lilac cotton pj bottoms (so old can't remember where they are from sweating so much from flu changing pjs on a regular basis tmi!!

dry it'll take awhile to show, it'll be good just wait.
blair hope your having an amazing time.

I actually spend less on myself now, than I used to. I used to have a pt once or twice a week, monthly facials, nails every two weeks etc. I need to get over my guilt of not spending now I don't work.

Oh novice have more babies! I always wanted four... Which I have (2 dogs and 2 cats ;) )

I really want some off white jeans, but the ones I've found look yellow :( do you think I should just get white?
