It's this book's fault

I'd like to do that too but wonder what would happen if some of the clothes were in the wash - don't all the "files" fall over?

Karbea that dress is lovely.

Dry you are brave, glad it went well and look forward to the after shot!

Marsha how's the negotiating coming?

I read a rumour Wink about Zayn that Heidi Klum had told him to get his act together - apparently she recognised the signs of heroin abuse Shock Also he keeps "cheating" on his "fiancee". Hmm

I find Zara trousers are cut for those that are slim of hip. I warned my sister about this (we're both large of bum) and she was so disappointed.

betty thanks, all coming along smoothly now! It still hasn't sunk in that it's 2 weeks to go, though. One thing I do need to do is buy my mum a present - does anyone have any ideas? She is having work done on the house, so I would have liked to get her something for the house, but it would be too big to give her during my speech. She is the type of person who, the more expensive something is, the less she will use it, so I can't go for something obviously high end (so not her). She doesn't wear jewellery much either apart from costume necklaces. Argh!

Can't remember who asked about the gold sugar but I wouldn't be doing it myself. Hopefully the hotel will agree to it. No doubt they will try and charge but frankly I think it's cheeky if they say they won't just dip each glass onto a wet cloth and then onto a tray of sugar Hmm we shall see.

Sorry for essay!

Just sold two dresses and paid for these GAP chinos with the proceeds

I like those joggers shop

blair I've been saying he's due a spell in rehab for a while. To be fair to the kid, untold fame and fortune before the age of 20 would screw anyone up. I was a dick when I was 20 without all that!

Cranagh · 26/03/2015 13:48

Karbea, that dress doesn't appear to be reduced.

Good work this morning, Shop! Do you need shorts for your holiday? These Boden shorts arrived today. I was trying them on when DHL called with my new bag, had to answer the door in the shorts, with the rain lashing outside.

Wow, two weeks, Blair, exciting.

DH strongly disapproves of botox too, I'd have to use the rejuvenating facial line!

maradesbois · 26/03/2015 15:23

Afternoon,

Blair you could just give her a bouquet on the day then something for house later. Don't fill your head with superfluous detail like the sugar glass, you need to enjoy the big day. How is your health, have things settled down? Can't wait to see pic of you in your dress, did you sort something out to stop the neckline rubbing?

Day 4 of pox exile with an otherwise perfectly happy and well ds. We've had visitors today which has eased the monotony. Just browsing on outnet and noticed the weight of this bag is 2.35 kgs! Think Amber mentioned wang bags are heavy. Birkin is too but don't think that much, may weigh it to see...

Haven't ever felt the need to tell dh or in fact anyone in rl except dsis about Botox. People are programmed to disapprove based on bad results but when done well nobody should notice anything but you looking well.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/03/2015 16:01

Thanks mara, yes I'm not really sure how I got sucked into the Pinterest-perfect wedding stuff! The gold sugar has arrived, and I'll try it out but am not going to stress. If nothing else I can use it at home. And I am feeling much better thanks. Dress fitting is next Wed and I'm going to try the tit tape, sorry "fashion tape", against the back of the neckline.

Glad your DS is coming through the CP ok, what a relief. How many more days do you think you'll have to avoid going anywhere?

I once weighed my Reed Krakoff Boxer (with stuff in) and it was something absolutely crazy like 4-5kg!

Drywhiteplease · 26/03/2015 16:16

Oh yes I told DH. He's learnt over the years to not get involved in my style and beauty side Grin remember VW disaster, still traumatised .. I haven't even asked what he thinks, and he hasn't ask how much it cost.

No change yet impatient

libertychick · 26/03/2015 16:52

Cranagh you star!! Flowers Flowers Flowers. The Elia B leopard print loafers have arrived and they are perfect, look good and very comfortable. Great recommendation Smile

libertychick · 26/03/2015 16:55

Blair wedding perfection madness hits everyone - and it is a special day, of course you want it to be perfect. Glad to hear you are feeling better.

Drywhiteplease · 26/03/2015 17:38

Blair getting excited for you. So close. Smile

Cranagh · 26/03/2015 17:48

Oh good, glad you like them, Liberty!

shopafrolic · 26/03/2015 18:35

how much did it cost?

OP posts:
Stokey · 26/03/2015 18:55

I think you've got me slightly obsessed with Kando-ing Shop

I just wanted to tidy my drawers and now am thinking I need to throw out half my house. Is it OK to just fold without chucking... guess Kando would say NO.

Very exciting that the wedding is so close Blair. What about a print or picture for your DM? Something she could hang up in her new house?

No opinion about botox other than very brave... think I'd be too scared.

libertychick · 26/03/2015 19:00

DH and I have done several rounds of decluttering - love it! We are about to order another hippo bag. We changed the extractor fan in the kitchen and some light fittings so have things to get rid off so we have decided to get the bag and fill it. I need a day when DD isn't around to go through her toys. I haven't done the folding thing yet though.

shopafrolic · 26/03/2015 19:08

On a roll. Sold a bag of DS' clothes and got one of these boostapaks with the proceeds :)
Love that book Stokey - an easy read and quite inspiring (but massively over the top!)

Shop £199.....don't tell anyone Grin

Saw a woman at the cosmetic place yesterday wearing some flowery trousers (grey background, pinks and purple floral) with a magenta fitted blazer and nude pink t shirt, ballet flats and a statement necklace not a wrinkle in sight....on her faceGrin she looked lovely, matchy......got me thinking about floral crops Hmm

LinusDKD · 26/03/2015 19:55

Now look what you made me do dry!

I have googled botox practicioners (sp?) in my area and have found someone who sounds perfect.

Lots of qualifications and he doesn't look like he dabbles a bit too much in the stuff himself in his picture.

Some plastic surgeons look so 'plastic' (ha!) themselves or their wives do that I feel it's more bad than good publicity.

Drywhiteplease · 26/03/2015 20:06

linus mine was recommended by a friend. Let me be your guinea pig before you commit.

Heard the funniest thing on Radio5 earlier. Talking to the Zayn from 1D tribute band about his future. Prompted listeners to call in with funny tribute band names;

ELO Again
Trevor in Blue Jeans Neil Diamond, genius, the guy was actually called Trevor
Vinyl Richie l He was a DJ
The Very Hot Chilli Peppers Grin

Made me chuckle

Topazandpearl · 26/03/2015 21:00

Very excited for you Blair, the days will fly by now (try to take time to enjoy every moment). I'm glad you are feeling better.

Stokey I read that book when shop previously recommended it. My drawers have been a delight ever since! I couldn't go back to laying clothing flat and have even converted DS (at home at least, I'm not sure how tidy he is in his rented accommodation).

My worry either Botox is whether I would be able to stop or would I always want a bit more?

Mara I hope you are free from CP isolation soon.

One I hope you got off on holiday alright. It is a difficult time to be flying. I remember flying transatlantic two days after Lockerbie (showing my age) and it was a sobering experience. Still, I am sure you will have a fabulous holiday.

Love those tribute vans names Dry Grin

Topazandpearl · 26/03/2015 21:02

Vans?? bands.Hmm

Topazandpearl · 26/03/2015 21:03

bands' even Hmm Hmm

bettykt · 26/03/2015 21:30

Blair lovely to hear that your wedding plans are all coming together now, not long now eek.

Dry I thought Botox would have been more than that, that sounds quite reasonable, keep us updated as to how it develops, would love to see some shOts Grin

Dc informed me in the car on the way home from school that Zayn had left 1D, I was Hmm must have been the topic of the day in school.

Cranagh I like those shorts, what colour and length did you buy? Are you keeping them?

I haven't bought any clothes for ages, have loads on my wish list but feel a bit guilty as I've got a big project coming up which needs my funds so may have to vicariously live through your purchases for a short while.

Has anyone else on here not succumbed to the Stans or is it just me? Was looking at white Superga yesterday as I think they are more me.

Stokey · 26/03/2015 22:42

I got black Stans Betty, I still think I need something lighter for summer!
Just finished House of Cards Confused. I can see why you wanted to talk about it at the MU Marsha & Fed up. No spoilers but definitely found this series a lot slower than the first two.

Cranagh · 26/03/2015 22:42

Very interested to see what you think over the next few weeks, Dry.

I am not going for Stans, Betty, I am sticking with Converse/Superga/Ash and would like Golden Goose. Meant to add those shorts are surprisingly flattering and I rarely find shorts I like. I bought the dark denim 4". I am 5"9 but don't think they are too short. I have a 25% off code if anyone wants it.
