I'll forward you the email, Shop. The dress is 37% off.

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2015 19:38

Well, I've been for Botox consultation and ended up getting done there and then impulsive, moi? Shock apparently my 11s are very deep and may not completely disappear Sad, it will take up to 3 weeks to take full effect so I'll keep you all posted. Feel quite excited, can't believe I left it so long, should have invested years ago.
And yes I took a before SHOT!

AmberNectarine · 25/03/2015 19:41

Zayn was the fit one. I'm a bit devastated Wink

White and pink Stans arrived and are brilliant, very pleased for £26!

AmberNectarine · 25/03/2015 19:41

Ooh dry I'm excited. I need to get it done myself.

LinusDKD · 25/03/2015 19:50

OMG dry! What are you like!?

Did it hurt? And how do you feel now?

I have been thinking about it but I am too chicken to even go and get a consultation.

amber I was on the hunt for Stan Smiths today but I couldn't find any and I really want to try some on to see if I can pull them off.

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2015 20:07

Tiny pricks linus not bad at all. Feel fine, hope it works but I suspect I'll need a few goes for it to really work. I have to go back in 2 weeks for them to check.
amber Zayn was best looking and had best voice. When I took DS to concert last year he really didn't look very comfortable though.

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2015 20:09

DD not DS.... He'd kill me if he knew I'd said id taken him to a 1D concert [Grin

Mynameismary123 · 25/03/2015 20:25

Thanks for all the good luck messages. It was like I'd never been away straight back into the thick of it. I ended up wearing grey trousers, black thinish wool peplum jumper (looks better than it sounds),my new moda in pelle heeled black loafers which were super comfy with a grey & Fuschia animal print scarf. New short haircut was approved and I'm used to it more now don't miss the length at all.
dry and others who have had Botox you're all very brave I'm an absolute wimp with needles. I even made DD1 get her holiday jabs after me as no way could I have sat with her then got mine. I closed my eyes when DD2 got her 1 year jabs last month the nurse gave us both chocolate buttons Smile.
Had plans for trip to Trafford Centre tomorrow which will have wait until next week and the chaos of Easter holidays may wait until they're back at school, it'll be less expensive without teenage DD.

AmberNectarine · 25/03/2015 20:41

I remember watching X Factor when they were on it and he bottled his audition at boot camp. Cowell had to go and talk him back onto the stage, so I don't think he was a natural pop star. Revealing my 1D superfan roots here!

maradesbois · 25/03/2015 21:17

Mary glad it all went well. Outfit sounds great.

Dry blimey you don't hang about Smile. What you said about your no 11 lines the other day is exactly how I feel. Am not trying to turn the clock back as it blatantly doesn't work but frown lines made me look tired and grumpy and were all I saw in the mirror. Am leaving it a bit for the moment as they've only come back faintly but the results do look good.

Ellis I wear blazer with scarf or trench or big cashmere poncho. Can't wait for the proper spring days.

Karbea · 25/03/2015 21:31

I've never looked at comptoir before. I love this dress. How much is it in the sale? I'm on my phone, so tricky to see properly.

WhattoWearNow · 25/03/2015 21:35

Dry - exciting stuff - you just need to perfect your story - maybe a very relaxing Easter break Grin
Cranagh - much as I like my Fitbit, I would have chosen the bag too!

shopafrolic · 25/03/2015 21:36

Amber I remember that too - plus he's looked miserable in every performance since marijuana gate
Dry!!!!!! Keep us posted. I want pics.

bettykt · 25/03/2015 22:09

Ooo very interesting Dry kept looking at mine in the mirror but I'm too chicken to do anything about it atm.

Glad your day went well Mary the nurse giving you both chocolate buttons made me smile.

Amber surely a youngster like you don't need Botox? Confused

Has anyone here got Swedish Hasbeens? Ujj you have the lower ones don't you? I'm contemplating getting the higher ones but read they were quite slim and my feet are wide, so want to know if they'll fit width wise. I want them to wear with my flares. Lot of talking about feet on this thread recently! Marsha are you hiding?

Fedup were you after shorter flares? I have these RI ones I think Dry has them too, I have them in short they won't need shortening but will need to wear a heel with them.

Blair how are the wedding preparations coming along?

Undecided90 · 25/03/2015 22:54

Hi All.

Liberty I feel your pain with regard to feet. Mine are as wide as they are long and I can only look longingly as strappy heels. They sit looking smugly at me on the shelf of shoe shops whilst my feet are encased in Clarkes and M&S. Someone suggested Ecco which I would second. For the first time I ever I managed to get some flats from there last year.

Karbea The dress is lovely. Re: the shirt - You would have to try but I would expect that shirt to make your boobs look big due to the pockets but I maybe wrong. I speak as someone large of nork.

I ordered and tried on these tonight trousers

this short

Both are XL Blush. Do Zara normally come up small? Only answer that with a yes. Both are for work and look OK. Not brilliant but they are 'these will do until I have lost weight and can metamorphose into a goddess' type of way.

I have mentioned this before but I am on a diet (MFP) and lost 2lbs this week so feeling rather pleased with myself. Although, having been to the gym earlier, I am now fighting the urge to eat biscuits.

I told DD (aged 9) about Zayn from 1D - She didnt believe me . Oh well.

Amazed at some of you having botox. I am too chicken. Luckily I look quite young for my age (even if I do say so myself) but have noticed the '11' you talk about.

Undecided90 · 25/03/2015 22:56

Hmmm, please excuse the typos. I am tired.

libertychick · 25/03/2015 23:37

Undecided I find Zara run small especially in trousers. Well done on the weight loss. I notice you pinned my Hobbs heels - they are definitely worth a try. I usually don't even attempt to try on shoes like that but I tried a personal shopper in John Lewis before Christmas and she got them for me and I was really surprised at how comfortable I found them. I wouldn't wear them all day but I have worn them for a couple of nights out and for work (with flats in the bag for the commute). I think the key is the positioning of the heel so the weight is distributed rather than all the weight going onto the sole and the heel not being too high. Also they are quite soft leather.

Undecided90 · 25/03/2015 23:47

Ooh thanks.I will try them (need yo be paid first)

Drywhiteplease · 26/03/2015 07:53

Whatto I'm going to have a "rejuvenating facial" next week for wrinkles Wink

It's snowing!!!!

DD is having an argument with DH about having having "seconds".....teenaged daughter meets Jeeves, this won't go well!!!!!

Olive skinnies, black boxy sweater, black suede wedge ankle boots, MN scarf......

Have a good day all x

shopafrolic · 26/03/2015 08:08

Undecided - yes lots in Zara comes up small - and their shoes are the work of the devil - temptingly beautiful but so uncomfortable. Well done on the weightloss. Eat a banana?
Raining here Dry Could you lift your forehead off the bed this morning? I am so curious to see how you look. CACI facials are good..... (or do you mean you'll be telling the family you've had a facial?) Does DH know?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 26/03/2015 08:08

My DH thought I was mental having microdermabrasion so who knows how he'd react if I went for Botox Hmm

OP posts:
libertychick · 26/03/2015 08:25

Dry yes I want to know if you have told DH! I think the fact that they might not go completely is better actually. If the effect is to make them softer then you'll look younger without looking done. I bet any money that the first person to notice will be one of the children at school Smile

OOTD - Black Dune brogues, black opaques, black knee length Boden pleated skirt, cream APC sweater, one's statement necklace, trench coat. Feeling quite smart apart from black circles under eyes from working until 2am then being woken by DD coughing at 3am nothing that a strong cappuccino can't sort out Confused

shopafrolic · 26/03/2015 09:12

Saw these and thought of Bernice joggers

Morning all

Got the JBrand Lovestorys yesterday and they were not good. Very low cut so gave me a muffin top (and builder's bum if I'd worn them long enough to get down on the floor with DC) and too short. They'd been rather badly turned up and think they'd be betetr at the original length. Then my childminder tried them on and looked fab in them, so I've given them to her Envy.

Has anyone done that drawer tidy thing where you fold your clothes like files instead of stacking them? Looks very handy - my drawers are out of control.
