Dh is out and I just realised I haven't yet watched The September Issue yet. Anna Wintour's little face and hair hasn't seemed to have change over the years. Grace C seems pretty good. Finding it interesting.

Justa it's a shaker painted one, light grey with wood work top and under mount sink. I would have put a link but I'm still upset about the mess up Wink. I'll pm you the details and some other good options.

Karbea · 23/03/2015 21:20

I've a Sebo I much prefer it to my previous dyson, dh got me a roomba yesterday, I had one when I was single. I really love the roomba!

justasecond · 23/03/2015 21:31

Thanks Marsha that would be great and that sounds lovely. I would like to replace our Ikea shaker style that I painted myself soon but the trouble is I want something almost the same and same colour but in a framed cabinet style with white stone worktops instead of the wood we have atm. I love the look of wood but it is high maintenance. But we usually leave the oiling until its so bad that we have to sand it all back and start again.

Thanks for the vacuum reccs will check out sebo hadn't thought of them

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2015 21:34

I've not had wood before. Hope I don't regret it! It looks nice now. Then I realised how careful we'll have to be.

justasecond · 23/03/2015 21:34

Envy of your roomba Karbea is it really as amazing as it sounds? I always thought they were too good to be true.

Karbea · 23/03/2015 21:44

justa I loved it when I lived alone. It was great I turned it on when I went out and all the floors were hoovered when I got home.
My house now is larger and I've four animals so we will see. I most excited about the scooba that dh also got me.

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 22:02

Dyson here too.
Wood topped kitchen too - lots of oiling
Loved the September Issue and the 'relationship' between Anna and Grace.

I think I'd rather be on a vogue thread than work at vogue. Too emotional. Would anyone like to work at vogue? (in theory)

Thakoon seems sweet.

Karbea · 23/03/2015 22:07

I've wood on my island I always forgot to oil it :/

justasecond · 23/03/2015 22:11

Only if there is really a freebies cupboard like in TDWP and there is a chance of free bags and shoes. Does anyone know why AW always wears the same sandals?

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 22:15

Not in a million years Marsha
I hate it when you work on a project and put your heart and soul into it and then the boss changes the brief. Imagine a whole shoot?! Shock binned. I'd have a breakdown.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 23/03/2015 22:17

I know. They all seem petrified!

Grace C strops but still doesn't say anything and even all the designers look nervous.

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 22:22

Need to watch it again. I did love it but yes, all scared for sure.

OP posts:
Ujjayi · 23/03/2015 22:30

Not in a million years Shock. I cannot imagine working with someone like AW. And I reckon AS would be just as bad at British Vogue. Would love to see GC as editor. She's incredibly talented & seems genuinely interested in others.

We have granite worktops over white shaker units with a wooden topped island. I love the granite but it's a PITA to keep looking sharp.

AmberNectarine · 23/03/2015 22:36

My friend actually does work at Vogue'

Ujjayi · 23/03/2015 22:40

Oooh Amber! Spill!!

Ellisisland · 24/03/2015 05:28

Loving the links shop your holiday wardrobe looks amazing

I love The September Issue but no way in hell would I want to work at vogue. I worked at a beauty company for many years and the egos I had to deal with there were unreal so no way could I cope at vogue! I AW has way too much control there anyway surely anything creative has to have more than one input. She controls everything so every issue is the same. And she is obsessed with jumping models!

MarshaBrady · 24/03/2015 06:27

Ellis that is so funny I woke thinking what's with all the jumping models. And then there's the leaning back shot and the group shot where they laze around.

And yes what is the point of having one creative voice.

But also the nervous designers. The one I couldn't imagine caring as much is Isabel Marant but maybe because she's very in with the more interesting, imo, French Vogue group. And at least they look happier, freer.

Fedupnagging · 24/03/2015 06:45

I was so exhausted yesterday, I was in bed and asleep by 9.30 so now I woke up at 5.45 and thought I'd see what I missed yesterday.

Morning Ellis, I guess the dc had you up early?

Mara poor ds (and you) but fingers crossed he continues to have an easy time of it.

One, one more sleep.....! You definitely need a holiday and I hope you have a lovely lovely time.

Karbea I generally do the long muddy dog walks first thing so wear tatty jeans, hunters etc then come home shower and change. Later in the day, will just put on Wellies over what I'm wearing. On Friday blue muddy hunters and black cos dress looked particularly fetching!

What bag are you considering Queen?

Working at vogue sounds v glam in theory but imagine working with a bunch of divas all day every day.

Undecided90 · 24/03/2015 06:47

Hi all. I am on page 12 on my phone so need to start replies otherwise I forget who has linked what.

Queenie love the cos skirt and top.

QueenC love the Reiss top. Would look great with leather leggings .

*Dry - How great to get a compliment from anyone let alone a 20 something instructor Grin

Fedupnagging · 24/03/2015 07:01

Dh just brought me coffee so doing a bit fantasy shopping before I get up:

Love this

Perfect holiday dress

Pretty

super retro but actually I like it.

shopafrolic · 24/03/2015 07:05

Early start Voguettes. Blimey. Must be the day for it. DS woke me up at 6am complaining of tummy ache - went for the worlds largest wee and then miraculously felt better and starts jumping all over me Hmm

santamarianovella · 24/03/2015 07:11

loved the September issue, but I'd lose all interest in fashion if I worked there, and I couldn't help noticing, how literally the world has changed since it was filmed (2007) we had an economic crisis ,drop in magazine sales, and the rise and rise of bloggers, and just general fashion tastes have changed completely, but AW has not changed since then, ellis is right it's all the same, very predictable and just bland.

But french and British vogue are a different story, they are more up to date with what is going on, , more interesting and cover all sides of fashion ,so you'd always find something intresting, it really looks like a group work, with different views of fashion,

marsha you are right about marant, but then she doesn't fit in AW world,

Fedupnagging · 24/03/2015 07:49

How is your foot now Santa?

Thought this bag was brown - for Dry but it's burgundy, great cross body bag.

Like this

love this, perfect style and perfect colour; the price is a slight drawback though!

This anyone?
