Spring is a springing, Blair is getting married, Shop is heading to sunnier shores. Will Linus find the perfect black flat shoe? Will Marsha's kitchen ever be finished? Join the hundreds (make that handful) of delurkers who have joined the fun recently and come and join us for random fashion and beauty chat. All budgets welcome, bring links.... :)

Mara glad DS is coping well with CP.

Karbea I wear jeans, parka & neoprene lined Hunters for dog walking in the fields & woods. If I walk her around the village I just wear what I'm wearing for the day.

I've never heard of the name Capucine before yesterday. How is it pronounced?

Has a new client meeting today - I get so worried showing my designs but it seemed to go well so hopefully I'll be selected.

One hope the packing goes smoothly. When do you actually leave?

Shop - eeek 2 weeks to go! How exciting.

Pesky DCs need to be fed. Back later.

Karbea · 23/03/2015 17:53

ujj I'm not even sure where my hunters are so I should find them.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I'm very in love with orange and driving shoes. Seen a gorgeous pair in Gucci and massimo dutti will linked in a bit if I can find them.

I got a pair on nude patent diors they are 8cm high so perfect for wearing with jeans during the day! Happy even tho they aren't the most exciting shoe in the world. And I know people hate nude courts.

OneLittleLady · 23/03/2015 18:07

I leave for london on wednesday morning ujj and I fly thursday morning. It's been touch and go whether I'd be able to go as with my health issues, I've had to wait for the doctor to clear me to fly! Getting excited now, mostly for the resting time tbh, I'm so worn down and worn out atm, my health issues have been pretty out of control since Jan and its causing me issues at uni, have to go for a meeting when I get back to discuss whats going on. Feel like I've messed everything up but trying to stay positive, I know they don't WANT me to leave the course but it might be that they have no option but to ask me to leave because of my erratic attendance this semester Sad and also Grin for the big holiday rest

LinusDKD · 23/03/2015 18:52

Evening!

one the University must have known about your health problems when they accepted you so I don't see why they can now consider asking you to leave.

As long as you pass your tests and do your assignments you should be ok, no?

I just ordered a Wharehouse shirt on Asos as it looks like the perfect kind of icy pink and it's 100 % cotton. Will link later as copy/pasting is even more difficult than before.

shop lovely O. de la Renta heels but my next pair of heels will be another pair of Manolos. I am a convert!

ujjayi Capucine is pronounced kah-pu-seen (not sure I've done this right but English is not my native language)

LinusDKD · 23/03/2015 18:54

OneLittleLady · 23/03/2015 19:18

that's what I thought linus so I'm not overly worried right now. i'll see what they say after easter. i'm on holiday on doctors orders, he's told me i need a period away from the things stressing me out etc and if i'd not already got a holiday booked, he was going to tell me to book one! he's a good doctor really

LinusDKD · 23/03/2015 19:19

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 19:27

I like these and these.

I need to do a review of what was new on the outnet today, but those white jeans look good.

Ujjayi · 23/03/2015 20:19

Thanks Linus & Dry for the pronounciation help Wink. And love that shade of pink for the shirt.

One I agree with Linus that uni should be understanding of your health issues. Attendance is important but the crucial thing is you're keeping up with work & achieving good grades. I was ill for the last year of my course & missed loads of sessions but my lecturers understood & allowed me to work from home wherever possible. Stay positive Smile

Karbea you were asking about exercise upthread. I try & work out first thing - usually 6.15am - & try and fit in some yoga or stretching in the evening. I find if I don't workout first thing that I just cannot fit it in & there is always other priorities. I feel my life needs more balance with reading more, listening to music & going to bed early & also properly spending time with DH as opposed to "sharing a space". Easy to just zone out & MN too much!

WRT to botox...I'm too scared to try but I've noticed I'm getting a little jowl-y & saggy chin. I've started with some facial yoga (nothing specific just bits I found online) & I think it is already making a very small difference probably due to increased blood flow.

Topazandpearl · 23/03/2015 20:38

I hope DS continues to have an easy time with the CP Mara.

I hope you have a lovely, restful holiday One and get your uni issues sorted on your return.

Your holiday also sounds exciting shop and your wardrobe is fab.

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 20:40

Thanks Topaz :)

do these look see thru to you? The j brand ones have sold out in my size.

QueenQueenie · 23/03/2015 20:47

Really like the second, paler ones Karbea...

It was freezing here today unless you were in the brief patches of direct sunlight so still wearing winter clothes pretty much. Bare ankles seem some way off! Grey cashmere crew neck, Whistles black leather midi skirt, thick grey merino wool tights and black suede heeled ankle boots.... and a scarf.

Bought these with the m and s 20% off today - nothing wow but good for lounging around in... and tried on a lovely Chinti and Parker sweater today too - but couldn't justify the price... am pondering.

Sorry to hear about the dreaded chicken pox. Don't know if you believe in homeopathic remedies? Rhus Tox is what you need for CP if so.

QueenCardigan · 23/03/2015 20:52

2 days one how exciting. Don't worry about uni whilst you're away.
karbea I prefer the MD ones.
Capucine reminds me of cappuccino I'm afraid!

So, I have some money left over from my Mother's Day present. I've fallen in love with a bag that just about covers it. But the dilemma is do I really need another bag? Should I use the money for clothes instead? Im in a dilemma so help me out ladies.

justasecond · 23/03/2015 21:03

Love that sweater queenie
Linus Pink shirt is great, do report back when it arrives, not that I need any more shirts.
karbea I really like the MD loafers and the jeans don't look see through. Perhaps you can ask them on the live chat that always pops up.

Boring question, can anyone recommend a good vacuum cleaner? My dyson is on its last legs. I have heard Miele are very good does anyone have one?

justasecond · 23/03/2015 21:06

I would go for a bag QueenC as I think they make the most difference to an outfit. However if you are missing core clothing items in your wardrobe better to get those first. What is the bag like?

Karbea · 23/03/2015 21:09

The link seems to be for the blue gucci ones, but it was the white ones I liked.

Drywhiteplease · 23/03/2015 21:13

justa Sebo are always top in Which but I love my Dyson, find watching the dust filling up very satisfying SADDO Grin
